Pundits are beginning to agree that Joe Biden's campaign is in a death spiral.
"Biden’s campaign is running on fumes," writes The Daily Beast's Sam Stein. "A candidate with all the trappings of a traditional frontrunner—the long résumé, party backing, relevant experience, and steady poll numbers—suddenly is on electoral life support."
So what happened? Should Biden's campaign crash and burn there will be much speculation over what went wrong. How did the frontrunner go from smooth sailing to the nomination to an epic disaster?
Well, I think the answer is already clear.
When you look at the Real Clear Politics tracking in the early states of Iowa and New Hampshire,

Biden should have resurrected Mayor Daley's line when Chicago gave business to a company where a family member worked. He didn't deny. He just said, 'If you can't help your family - then who can you help?'.

Biden's interaction with questioners has also 'helped' him unravel. Voters do pay attention, and they will likely reward Biden with a 5th place finish tonight.

And now everybody knows that it's not just Hunter and there's a lot more than just Burisma. Crooked is as crooked does. Joe will not get the chance to open "The Biden Foundation"

Frail, dithering, incoherent, and bat-crazy - - weren't enough to bring Joe down.
That tells us more about the demonrat voters than the Burisma thing does.

All impeaching Trump over Ukraine did was highlight for everyone the Biden's utter corruption in dealing with Ukraine.
Boy that Nancy Palsi sure is a genius, huh? Good job Nance.

Nope.
Biden was put up to running (not by Obama, but by lesser Dems) as the front man for their narrative so Trump could be impeached.
As a useful idiot, Biden has served his purpose, so those lesser Dems in office and/or media are letting him drop of his own weight.
Without them propping him up, he's over.

If Joe Biden had not run for President there wouldn't have been the charges of impeachment brought up agains Trump.
Th democrats impeached Trump to protect Joe Biden.
They had to protect Joe Biden to protect Pelosi and Kerry whose sons got a piece of the Unkraine action.
Joe Biden running for President opened the door to all sorts of corrupt Democrat actions.
After a while you have to look at this impeachment mess and wonder why the Democrats went so overboard for Biden, because he turned the light on to all sorts of democrat corruption. They should be trying to hang him.

it was the Dems that launched the Ukraine investigation into Trump which practically paved a trail of corruption to the Bidens. Now who would do that? Its not Trump. My money is on Comrade Bernie or Liarwatha. Perhaps the Democrats are just plain self-destructive. One can make a good case for it. Once again showing the democrats are not fit to govern.

Mr. Barisma Charisma Joe the 'dog face pony soldier', the banjo boy from Deliverance all grown up can't drop out of sight fast enough for me. The old senile coot is too much for me to look at anymore. After 40+ years of his failures in politics how could the party think this bozo could be a front runner? Thank Nancy Pelosi for this great treat.

What ever made Biden a serious threat to win? He has never done well outside of those rigged Delaware elections. His paltry numbers in Iowa were, in fact, his new personal best. The guy is nothing but gas passed in the wind. Really, always was.

#8, neither are that smart or powerful.
Now who benefits when the front runner Biden gets dumped? And who has the power to do it?

While factually true, I don't think there is a real cause and effect here. Biden has always been a candidate that looks better from 10,000 feet than he ever did upclose. As long as the poll was wide enough and generic enough, he has enough name recognition and resume bullet points to do well. It is when people actually start to look into him and listen to what he says that he becomes 3% Joe. I guess the 3rd time isn't the charm.

Eric Ciaramella, Vindman, and Schiff thought they had a "kill shot" by doing the usual trick and accusing the President of their own crimes. Their mistake was trusting that the MSM could maintain a cover up of the Ukraine crimes by saying they were "debunked" and attacking Rudy Giuliani as the messenger instead of answering honest questions about the public message. The overplayed their hand and now they've lost the pot and a lot more.

Someone should really keep sharp objects away from dems. They always end up hurting themselves. They always end up running with scissors and the result ... it really isn't pretty.

Ol' Joe was the 'front runner' only because the Lo-Fo's were familiar with his name, after Joe was Bammy's 'Assasination Insurance' for 8 years.
Joe's collapse came when he made the mistake of opening his mouth.
Before that, many people thought that Joe was a fool. When he opened his mouth and started talking, he confirmed their suspicions.

For those who will say that the impeachment of Trump was a waste of time.....Oh, NO, it was not. It accomplished a clearly good thing. It drove a spike through the heart of Joe Biden's campaign.
THAT is a wonderful accomplishment, especially since it didn't harm the President at all.

Biden’s campaign is running on fumes..
Brings to mind an image. I was on the beach in Garden City, SC last summer and saw a older, lanky, 'lawyerish' looking man, dyed black hair, "running" on the beach in a sleeveless Biden 2020 shirt. We made eye contact and I laughed.

Biden was always a third rate politician working from the shadows so he could stay in hiding and work his corruption in Ukraine, Florida and elsewhere without significant notice. Now that the roach is in the spotlight everyone can see just how ugly it is. I keep waiting for the day when the honorable Sir Edmund receives the same level of scrutiny. The ugly will be overwhelming.
