Pompeo warns governors of Chinese

China's Communist Party has infiltrated various levels of America's infrastructure and is working to destroy the values of the United States, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said during a speech Saturday, while also warning state governors to be wary of China's infiltration. “We can’t ignore China’s actions and strategic intentions," he said while addressing the National Governors Association winter meeting. "The Chinese government has been methodical in the way it's analyzed our system... it's assessed our vulnerabilities and it's decided to exploit our freedoms, to gain an advantage over us at the federal level, the state level and the local level."

Comments:

China is the enemy. Always and forever, every day, all day, and in all things.
Never, ever trust China or Chinese people living and working here. Many/most are intent on spying and stealing intellectual property.

Our vulnerabilities are all the democrats aka leftards. (RINOs are actually leftards/democrats - they just lie about their loyalties.)

Tell us again how Diane Feinstein had a communist spy as a driver for 20 years and didn't have a clue. Raise your hand if you believe that nonsense. Once it was made public, she immediately fired the guy and the whole thing was dropped. Not a peep from anyone in law enforcement, Congress, the Justice Dept or DC in general. It almost makes one believe there is a political cabal in state/federal govt aiding and abetting the communist Chinese worldwide conquest.

Even in the very small and ever-dwindling, dying town of Atchison, Kansas, run by Democrats, did the Chinese open a private high school five or six years ago. It only had 12 students, but what on earth were they being indoctrinated with? Start small, keep at it and eventually you take over, because you’re allowed to be welcomed here because we’re supposed to accept every kind of diversity possible. Palm hits forehead. The Chinese have had a 100-year plan to take over our country, while we look at the next quarter’s earnings!

Pompeo is correct. The commies have already taken over the DNC, public schools, universities/colleges, many goobermint institutions like the FBI/CIA/DOJ/IRS and the drive-by media. Even the horde of demonrats running for President are commies at heart and want to turn the USA into a satellite of China or Russia.

By setting extra high standards for Chinese students to gain admission to our institutions of higher learning the US is ensuring that only the best and brightest spies get in. These people are very good at what they do, much better than the Russians or anybody else, and it's time we realized that. Fortunately Donald Trump does.

Trump, Pompeo, and the rest of the administration will have to refine their message and make sure its heard by the general public, and explain how it should concern them. If the message is primarily about Taiwan and Tibet, most people aren't going to care. Explain how China is influencing K-12 education, and people will pay attention. What China is doing and the threat it entails has to be spelled out in terms people will understand.

The Justice Department said Friday it will not pursue criminal charges against former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, after a nearly two-year-long investigation into accusations brought by the agency's independent watchdog who claimed that he lacked "candor" when questioned about leaking to the media. In a letter to McCabe attorney Michael Bromwich obtained by Fox News, Justice Department attorney J.P. Cooney said the investigation is now “closed.” “We write to inform you that, after careful consideration, the Government has decided not to pursue criminal charges against your client, Andrew G. McCabe,’” Cooney wrote.

This isn’t your 2016 Bernie Sanders. Yes, he won New Hampshire. And yes, the PredictIt market has him winning every state on Super Tuesday. But the biggest takeaway from last night as far as the Bernie Sanders campaign goes is that he lost half his voter base from the last election. The question now is whether he can recover that and beat President Trump. Wall Street highly doubts it. It’s already celebrating, coronavirus be damned.
Assuming Sanders is begrudgingly nominated by the powers-that-be in the Democratic Party (he is an I-VT, in the DNCs mind), this is a man who has lost a significant part of the mojo he had

As desert locusts ravage African crops, EU-funded NGOs maneuver in the Kenyan parliament to leave farmers defenseless. Caught flat-footed by the emergency, the FAO struggles to purchase enough pesticides to avert catastrophe. Experts fear it may be too late to avert famine. The worst locust swarms in 70 years descended on East Africa barely a month ago and have already devoured hundreds of thousands of acres of staple crops throughout the region. Every day, the swarms grow larger and travel further into the African continent. As the crop losses mount, experts fear that this new plague, which is hitting African food systems already challenged by epidemic infestations of Fall Armyworm

A comment published last week in Nature, a leading scientific journal, has thrown a monkey wrench into hundreds of studies and media stories that previously predicted dire climate consequences in the future due to increased carbon dioxide (CO2) in our atmosphere. The consequences were predicted by a computer model called Representative Carbon Pathways (RCP), and the worst-case scenario model, RCP8.5, had been cited more than 2,500 times in scientific journals and in hundreds of media stories as the primary need for "urgent action" on climate. Predictions from the RCP8.5 model suggested maximum global temperature increases of nearly 6°C (10.8°F) by the year 2100, shown in Figure 1.

The first of 2020's official presidential preference polls to be conducted by adults happens here in New Hampshire (N.H.) on Tuesday. This short essay describes two micro-polls conducted Thursday. I live in southeastern N.H., the Exeter area, which is fairly blue like the adjacent state of Taxachusetts. Thursday was errand day: a stop at a local business and then groceries at a local supermarket. As I drove, I counted yard signs. One each for Bernie, Joe, Tulsi, and Trump. No Amy, no Yang. Two for Warren. And seven for Mayor Pete, the kid from Indiana who shows a modicum of sense.

Now that as many as six serious Democratic candidates remain in the race, pundits increasingly believe the party is headed for a brokered convention. Hold on to your hats if that happens, because it’s even more complicated than it sounds. Presidential nominating conventions used to be “brokered” because the delegates were largely appointed by — and loyal to — political bosses. Delegates voted on multiple ballots as rivals vied for the bosses’ favor, making the quadrennial events the political equivalent of reality television. You could never be sure which governor or senator would be voted off the island and which would become the ultimate survivor.
