Republicans who once scorned Trump

A decade ago, Donald Trump was a registered Democrat. When he joined the presidential race as a Republican in 2015, party leaders scorned him as a gatecrasher and sought to stop his rise. The same Republican establishment now has rescued Trump’s presidency.(Snip)The acquittal will not only cement Trump’s reputation for surviving an onslaught of political perils. It also highlights how the former political neophyte has come to utterly dominate the GOP, with Republican lawmakers bowed by his overwhelming popularity with the party’s base. “He has taken over the party in very short order,” (Snip)“It was almost immediate after he won the election. He’s a force of nature among Republicans.”

The article makes no mention of the severely flawed, purely partisan power-politics process employed by the House to impeach Trump. Trump won the 2016 election, yet Democrats STILL cannot accept that he beat Hillary. For the good of America, it is time for the Democrats to move on.

So fifteen years ago Donald Trump was a Democrat. Forty years ago I was also a Democrat.(Bailed out during the Carter debacle). I think everyone has the right to be smarter today than they were yesterday.

It is very simple. He has made America the way it ought to be and used to be. He has fundamentally transformed us back to true patriotism love of country respect for law enforcement appreciation of our military and gratitude for the people that go to work every day, love their families their guns and Bibles and love and respect him. Keep it up!

LOL, oh the hipsters in LA are confused. They think everyone is dumber than they are because a rag like the LA Times prints their stupidity. Of course he was a registered Democrat as he was building his real estate empire in NEW YORK CITY. Is the smog so thick in LA that these dopes don't understand NYC politics? It is a certainty that they don't understand business. I love the little dig about political 'neophyte.' Like you should learn to pander and double talk before daring to try for high office. You should be humble enough to kiss the feet of political hack advisors and 'power brokers' and of course curry favor with newspapers, LOL. That's right, this idiot somehow won without the endorsement of the LA Times. They just hate the fact that he defied the lies, the Kangaroo court, and every filthy RINO and traitorous rat in DC. They have had since 2016 to get over it and they aren't. They never will get over it. Please God, make them suffer for four more years. IF President Trump continues the arc he is on, it will be longer than four years. I hope they NEVER see the political world they were so comfortable in, ever again.

#2- There may be a way around such restrictions. Go to “Options” on your search engine home page, click on “Privacy” and delete the “cookies” associated with a particular website or all websites. That may allow an individual to continue to access restricted websites after reaching one’s limit for a particular website. Sometimes it requires a “refresh” at the website or going out of it and returning to it.

Killing Iowa to save Biden 0 replies

Nate Silver's 538 site said the final unreleased Iowa Poll had Biden in fourth place behind Sanders, Warren, and Buttigieg. CNN and the Des Moines Register paid for the poll and censored it. The Iowa Democrat Party did the same with Monday's caucus results. (Snip) No one should surprised by the clumsy attempts by CNN, the Des Moines newspaper, and Iowa Democrat Party to rig the election. In 2008, the fix was in for Obama. In 2016, the fix was in for Hillary. And in 2020. the fix is in for Biden -- except the Iowa Democrat Party does not have enough Fixodent to seal the deal. Good grief, could House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler be any more transparent with his intentions here? Knowing all eyes will be on the Senate impeachment vote at 4:00pm on the same day, Democrat Chairman Nadler schedules the House oversight hearing on FBI (FISA Misconduct) for 10:00am Wednesday, February 5th, to bury it. FBI Director Christopher Wray has not been scheduled to face any questioning or public scrutiny by any legislative oversight body since the Inspector General report highlighted gross corruption and FBI misconduct in the December 9th, 2019, FISA report. Additionally, the DOJ/FBI response to the demands of the FISC were also extended to February 5th.

Senator Rand Paul appears to know a great deal about how the impeachment fraud was constructed. In this Fox News interview Rand Paul outlines that he is aware of six members of the National Security Council and Adam Schiff staff who appear to have coordinated their efforts to create the impeachment hoax over a year ago. Additionally, Senator Paul says he will have close discussions with President Trump about the serious FISA issues, including those used to target his administration, that DC refuses to consider. A very interesting interview.(Video)

From the DNC Club’s perspective there were three strategic needs surrounding the Iowa caucuses: (1) Hide the collapse of Joe Biden; (2) Diminish the win by Bernie Sanders; and (3) cover-up a less than enthusiastic voter turnout. (Snip) CTH isn’t going to get into the weeds of the failed reporting Ap that supposedly was behind the Iowa crisis, or the “shadow” tech company that was behind the Ap and directly connected to the Clinton DNC apparatus; which also just happens to have a connection to Buttigieg. (Snip) How the Club did it is less important than everyone understanding what took place wasn’t an organic accident.

But like a moth to a candle, the California congressman is sucked into the camera lights, without realizing how he is scorched and consumed. He hijacked the Democratic House impeachment effort and then did the same in the Senate. As the inspiration for the entire farce, he is the man most responsible for the ensuing damage to the country and his party. Chief Justice John Roberts’ expression was priceless after reading Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s garish question during the Senate impeachment trial Thursday night, a question which lacked any remote sense of self awareness. The inquiry facetiously read, “At a time when large majorities of Americans have lost faith in government, does the fact that the Chief Justice is presiding over an impeachment trial in which Republican senators have thus far refused to allow witnesses or evidence contribute to the loss of legitimacy of the chief justice, the Supreme Court, and the Constitution?” The purpose of the question was stunningly obvious.

On Friday, as I and about 456,874 other people predicted, the Senate voted against calling yet more witnesses in the make-believe, 100 percent certified partisan impeachment fiasco run by the Democrats and their media cheerleaders. That vote brought this lucrative entertainment to an end, de facto if not de jure. The official, signed-sealed-and-delivered end will come Wednesday, we’re told, when the Senate will vote on whether to acquit the president of the two charges on which he was impeached by the House. Spoiler alert: They will. A quick refresher. Those two charges were “abuse of power” and “obstruction of Congress.” Let’s take them in order.

The Iowa caucus data operation just crashed and burned. That means that it could take days to get find out who actually won the Democratic contest – the first of the 2020 presidential election cycle. Joe Biden's lawyers have sent the Iowa caucus organizers a sternly worded letter ordering them not to reveal the winner until the results are cleared with them.

House Impeachment Manager and House Oversight Chairman Adam Schiff warned Monday that President Donald Trump might give Alaska to the Russians if he is not impeached. Schiff disagreed with the president’s lawyers, who argued that Trump’s actions were not criminal and should thus not be considered impeachable. He warned that they were setting a precedent that would only encourage Trump to pursue “unacceptable” actions if exonerated. “Trump could offer Alaska to the Russians in exchange for support in the next election,” he said. “Or decide to move to Mar-a-Lago personally and let Jared Kushner run the country, delegating to him the decision whether to go to war.”

If Steve Bannon is correct (and I think he probably is), Michael Bloomberg has no intention of occupying the Oval Office; his real plan is far more devious and frightening. Bloomberg is investing a small fraction of his fortune (Bannon says it is now $70 billion) in a “leveraged buyout” of the party, installing himself as the oligarch who calls the shots, including the selection of the candidate to win the presidency. Forget the hundreds of millions of dollars spent on the “Mike will get it done” ads saturating the airwaves and the Super Bowl ad touting gun control.

Tax season kicked off Monday, and the biggest question on most taxpayers’ minds is how quickly they will get their refunds. Receiving a refund can normally take up to six weeks, but staffing issues at the agency might make that turnaround time much longer. Customer service is a big part of making tax seasons successful, and the Internal Revenue Service is one of the lowest-scoring agencies in that area, according to the Taxpayer Advocate Service annual report to Congress for 2019. Budget cuts are a contributing factor to the IRS’s poor customer service — it's harder to garner more hires with less money. Agency head count has fallen by 20%
