They’re the Reason for Trump Rallies

They’re the people Hillary Clinton called deplorable. They’re the people Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg call racist. They’re the people CNN’s Don Lemon and Republican strategist Rick Wilson laugh at and name-call like mean high school girls on national television. They are the reason for Trump rallies. Tens of thousands of people gathered in Southern New Jersey this week to see President Donald Trump in person. Americans the political professionals and pampered media-types loathe. Average, middle-class citizens who work hard and love their county shouldn’t be something to mock, but this is where we are.

Comments:

I am a Despicable Deplorable and I vote - every election. Insulting me and my beliefs is NOT the way to convince me that your side is right!! Once your labels start flying, you have lost the argument.

What is also wonderful about Trump is that his stand FOR America requires the elite to come out of the shadows and stand AGAINST America. They have been for a long time but they have been subtle, sneaky about it. With Trump, they cannot carry out their shadow campaigns. Trump has dragged them into the sunlight. Further, Trump has made the media declare itself. Many Americans thought the media had to be impartial so when media slipped in subtle lies, the public was puzzled and thought it must be true. The public now KNOWS the media is the propaganda arm of the dems. The media is dying from its own poison.

These rallies, whether attended in person or by television, provide "deplorables" with affirmation that there are people like them...lots of them...and that they are not some cultists out of the "mainstream". That's the genius of the Trump political operation, which I believe stems largely from his unique celebrity background. He is able to wholesale his message unlike others - which is nothing more than allowing "regular Americans" to be regular Americans, not haters, racists, or the slur du jour. In short, he created a demand for his "product" (MAGA/KAG) with his own celebrity and the apparent "support" of these buyers who jam rally sites - legitimizing the offer and deal. Celeb Marketing 101.

We still believe in God and His Church. And we think this country is the best one on the planet and being a citizen is not a vote buying token but a privilege paid for by our many ancestors that made great sacrifices to give us, their progeny, a better life. And dammit, we are proud of those ancestors too, all of them, especially those men that gave ole King George a bloody nose and established these United States!

Maybe a crazy observation but I think President Trump’s optimism and can-do spirit has gotten into the subconscious of every American, whether they support him or not. The example is the “thumbs up” emoji. My kids and I are on a lot of social media. And I see that used more than I have ever seen. Many would be shocked to think they are using a Trump gesture but yet there is a certain energy in the nation that has been lacking for years and that emoji reflects it. Thumbs up, Mr. President!

It’s all over but the shouting, as the saying goes. The Senate has enough votes to block new witnesses in the impeachment trial against President Donald Trump. A literal 11th hour announcement Thursday night from retiring Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) ensured that there were 50 votes against new witnesses in the Senate in addition to the witnesses already heard in the House, and then Friday’s announcement from Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) that she would also oppose witnesses put the Senate at 51, meaning that there would be no tie that Democrats would push Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts—who is presiding over Trump’s trial—to break.

The total amount owed to the state from all the welfare fraud cases amounted to $240,125.40, according to the OSIG. The OSIG also announced that 35 of those cases where individuals had been fraudulently receiving public assistance were classified as third-degree felonies. If these people are convicted, they face up to seven years in prison and a maximum fine of $15,000. Two Republicans joined 47 Democrats to vote in favor of calling for the additional evidence. The motion fell short by two votes, ending the case House Impeachment managers have been presenting for the past two weeks. The Senate now moves into the final phase of the trial, which could last a few days longer to allow senators to deliberate and give speeches before holding final votes.

The Democratic contender explained that he will "not have sufficient support to get to the 15 percent viability threshold" needed on Monday night. Delaney declined to endorse another candidate, but did say he wants a moderate. The Senate impeachment trial of President Donald Trump will reconvene on Friday afternoon to consider, finally, the question of witnesses. On Thursday, Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) indicated that he would not vote for witnesses. That fueled speculation of a potential 50-50 tie in the Senate vote. If that happens, it is possible that Chief Justice John Roberts could be called upon to cast the tie breaking vote for witnesses. Typically, Vice President would cast a tie breaking vote in the Senate — but not in impeachment trials. As the New York Times noted earlier this week, there is precedent for the Chief Justice to cast tie breaking votes;

American presidents have their famous speeches, remembered long after they leave office. JFK said: “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” Ronald Reagan stood at the Brandenburg Gate and told Mikhail Gorbachev to: “Tear down this wall.” Some speeches are memorable in other ways. George W. Bush, days after 9/11, ironically announced that: “Islam is peace.” Barack Obama proclaimed himself the messiah: “This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow, and our planet began to heal.” President Trump has certainly given strong speeches, such as at the recent March for Life.
