Joe Biden Says He Needs a Strong VP Because
He’s Old and May Die in Office (VIDEO)

This is a winning strategy. Joe Biden, 77, told an Iowa crowd that he needs a strong Vice President because he’s old and may die in office. “Whomever I pick” for VP, must “be capable of being president, because I’m an old guy — no I’m serious!” Biden said. Cringe. Biden also said there’s “8 women and least 4 or 5 people of color” that he believes are “totally qualified” to be his vice president. Old Joe also said earlier this week that he would like to have Michelle Obama has his running mate.

Comments:

And this is their front runner??? Good luck getting people to vote for you with THAT tactic!!

He is so tone deaf, addled and out of it, and he’s the front runner? “Vote for me, I might die in office!” A real winning slogan, Joe. I guess his family and “advisers” (does he have any advisers?) are just going to let him bumble and shuffle along making daily gaffes and making a fool of himself, putting his hands on everybody, petting, poking, finger-shaking and angry outbursts when asked a question. What a fool. If I were his wife I would be so embarrassed.

First of all, what Old Jo said should apply to any presidentioal candidate, in the selection of a running mate. Second, it is time to remind you people that Old Jo, in 1988, had two cerebral aneurysms - one on each side of his brain. Not much was reported on his condition, but he recently said that the neurosurgeon, prior to surgery for his second aneurysm, told him that the surgery might kill him. The condition, post surgery, can create OBD - organic brain disease or disorder, and that, in turn, can contribute to dementia. (At my age, 81, I am losing friends to various forms of dementia, and have done alot of reading on the condition. And I am seeing signs of dementia in Old Jo. Old Jo's adulterous wife, Jill, may be behaving like Woodrow Wilson's second wife, who, like Jill, was a local bimbo. Mrs. Wilson took over Wilson's presidency after his stroke. I suspect Jill would do the same. This should be the major issue in the campaign.)

Vote for me! I'm going to die in office! What comes out of Biden's mouth is the rhetorical equivalent of walking through a minefield in huge clown's shoes: an explosion with every step. The combination of Biden's senility and moron level intelligence quotient has been an astonishing experience for consumers of the news. What's the worst thing he could possibly say? He'll say it today and won't be any more the wiser. He literally doesn't know what he's going to say next, but you can be certain that any remaining sane Democrats will slap their foreheads in dismay after hearing him. How did a fellow this essentially dull and greedy even get started in politics? Whatever the reason, Biden's presence in national government speaks poorly for the voters of Delaware. Democrats in that state are deficient in common sense.

It’s all over but the shouting, as the saying goes. The Senate has enough votes to block new witnesses in the impeachment trial against President Donald Trump. A literal 11th hour announcement Thursday night from retiring Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) ensured that there were 50 votes against new witnesses in the Senate in addition to the witnesses already heard in the House, and then Friday’s announcement from Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) that she would also oppose witnesses put the Senate at 51, meaning that there would be no tie that Democrats would push Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts—who is presiding over Trump’s trial—to break.

Two Republicans joined 47 Democrats to vote in favor of calling for the additional evidence. The Senate impeachment trial of President Donald Trump will reconvene on Friday afternoon to consider, finally, the question of witnesses. On Thursday, Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) indicated that he would not vote for witnesses. That fueled speculation of a potential 50-50 tie in the Senate vote. If that happens, it is possible that Chief Justice John Roberts could be called upon to cast the tie breaking vote for witnesses. Typically, Vice President would cast a tie breaking vote in the Senate — but not in impeachment trials. As the New York Times noted earlier this week, there is precedent for the Chief Justice to cast tie breaking votes;

American presidents have their famous speeches, remembered long after they leave office. JFK said: “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” Ronald Reagan stood at the Brandenburg Gate and told Mikhail Gorbachev to: “Tear down this wall.” Some speeches are memorable in other ways. George W. Bush, days after 9/11, ironically announced that: “Islam is peace.” Barack Obama proclaimed himself the messiah: “This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow, and our planet began to heal.” President Trump has certainly given strong speeches, such as at the recent March for Life.
