Bernie Can’t Win

“Left but not woke” is the Bernie Sanders brand. If anybody failed to recognize it before, nobody can miss it now. Last week, the mega-podcaster Joe Rogan endorsed Sanders. The Sanders campaign tweeted a video of the Rogan endorsement from Sanders’s own account. That tweet then triggered an avalanche of disapproval from other voices in the Democratic coalition.
Rogan is not an ally to the cultural causes that have come to predominate on the contemporary left. He even mocks many of those causes, while also dancing around conspiratorial thinking of the left and right fringes: 9/11 denialism, Obama birtherism, and speculation about dark deeds concerning Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation.

I heard that Obama/Biden couldn't win. I heard that Trump couldn't win. This is written by David Frum, an idiot pundit and Never Trump. Don't take a Trump win in November for granted. Work to get out the Republican vote... don't believe people like Frum.

More dem desperation as Bernie remains threatening. The Left is watching for more tricks from the dem establishment and there will be Hell to pay if they try to cheat Bernie like Hillary did. Plus, the Left is MORE than capable of their own dirty tricks. It seems like there is no way that the dems emerge from the primary as a united party and as a fractured and angry party they stand little chance.
As to those of us who want to reelect Trump, I suggest a different viewpoint. It is not enough to merely win the election. We have the opportunity for a YUGE landslide/beatdown of the bedraggled dems; a repudiation of the Left which they have become the representative of. Trump has a great proven record of accomplishment, the wild enthusiasm of his supporters, the solid support of his party (finally), and a bright and prosperous plan for the future. Dems offer a culture of despair, fear, envy, failure, and destruction as an alternative. We lived there under BO. WHY would anyone want to go back to WORSE than that under the guidance of the Left and ANY of the dems?
We should take a lesson from Trump, good is not good enough. Bigger and better should be our goal. We should be going as broad and deep as we can. An overwhelming win won't shut up the idiots but it will mean we can legitimately ignore them and have the control of Congress needed to effectively cut off their endless investigation games and actually get some work done. As a bonus, maybe we can finally get some satisfaction against the corrupt people that have held us hostage with Mueller, Dossier games, impeachment absurdities, and Deep State follies, and much more. Heck, maybe we will even find Hillary's emails on a White House table.
More money, more rallies, more outreach to Independents and disenfranchised identity groups that are waking up, a few more Trump trade victories, more exposure of media lies and dem corruption and stupidity, more to victory. At this point, we can't get enough.

And why would I care that Bernie can't win? That's a good thing!
I hope Bernie does get the nomination and runs with Faux-ca-hon-tus so we can kill two birds with one stone. A Reagan v. Carter repeat would be nice but I'd love Nixon vs. McGovern.

He clearly has the, "I don't want to pay back my massive student loan debt," vote. Unfortunately for him, we who have to pay that debt have a say in the matter too.

If people would pay attention to Bernie and his wife's list of crimes and rule-breaking since his career began, he would not even be in the running. Millions stolen from Burlington College and other shady, money-under-the-table deals. He even skated in the 2016 election by delaying the release of his financial records until after Hillary paid him off to drop out. This sleazy socialist is rotten to the core. He knows darn well that he can not forgive student loan debt so his one-trick pony is just a trick to get the nomination. If he should enter the White House he would use it simply to enrich his family further, as he has done since he was mayor of Burlington.

One of the great joys of this site is that I can see an article by David Frum posted and not click on it to read. Instead, I can read the comments and get the gist of whatever Frum thought he was saying without rewarding his calumny. This allows me to keep track of Never Trumpers painlessly without patronizing or supporting them in any way.
It's a good compromise for dealing with manifestly compromised people such as David Frum.

Don't know if this is true. But have read that when the Iranian hostage crisis of the late 70s occurred that Bunny sided with the Iranians. He said the 52 Americans were all CIA agents and deserved what happened to them. And he has always sided with the Iranians since. But if he is elected he won't be running the show. Both the Vermont Vermin and Quid Pro Joe are pushing 80 and have serious health problems. It would be their VEEP in charge. If it is Stacy Abrams I will use all my paper money to buy gold, move to the deep woods, bury the gold, and sit on the mound with a shotgun.

Representative of Lib/Dem thinking: FTA; 'at least 22 transgender people were killed in the United States this year, [most] of them transgender women of color. /snip/ if elected, what more would you do to stop violence against transgender people?'
Make murder illegal? Nope - done that
Make hate a crime? Nope -done that
Dems just want the issue

Sanders doesn't put identity politics front and center because he knows those are a sideshow. The real goal of Leftism is confiscating your money and the fruits of your labor. Mushy, skeletal, scatter-brain Biden will not win either.

#9, use some of that paper money to buy non-perishable food. You can’t eat gold.
I live in South Carolina and we have open primaries. Trump will not be on the ballot as the Republican Party here saw no need to even let anyone try to run against him. So I can vote for a demonrat and I’m thinking about voting for one of those who is way down the list and doesn’t stand a chance, someone like Klobuchar, just to take a vote away from Bernie or Buttplug or Lyin’ Lizzie.

Politics is full of candidates who couldn't win...who won. Bernie is no more "radical" today than was seen George McGovern in 1972, who also had the "youth vote".

George McGovern was no Commie, at least. He flew 35 missions in the B-24 during WWII. At least when he was anti-war, he knew why.
But he got tagged as the anti-war candidate leading a seedy coalition of weirdos, hippies, druggies, and yutes who had just been granted the right to vote at 18. These people made America's collective stomach turn.
Plus the weirdness of the Tom Eagleton disaster gave McGovern an appearance of incompetence, to say the least. I make it a point to re-read "Fear And Loathing On the Campaign Trail '72" every four years when yet another presidential campaign cranks up. Thru a veil of alcohol and drugs, Hunter Thompson gave a very detailed and highly entertaining look inside a political operation that resulted in McGovern seizing the nomination when no one thought he could.
