Utah has become the 19th — and most conservative — state in the U.S. to ban "conversion therapy" for minors. The widely discredited practice, aimed at changing a patient's sexual orientation or gender identity, is now formally barred in the state after the new rule took effect late Tuesday. A spokesperson for Republican Gov. Gary Herbert, who directed licensing regulators to make the change, confirmed the move to NPR on Wednesday. "We want to thank Governor Herbert and his administration for not allowing this issue to be politicized," Troy Williams, the executive director of Equality Utah, said at a Wednesday news conference celebrating the news. Same question as always: if medical and psychiatric confidences are...confidences then who will know about what's said by a patient or a doctor?

Let me see if I understand this. If a minor is at the Q stage, a psychologist would not be allowed to gently lead the child to the straight stage? If not, that means Q is meaningless and a fraud.

Pure bigotry and homophobia, this. If a gay person seeks counselling, it will be denied. If a straight person doesn't even ask for counselling, it is forced upon them. As happens in our public schools all the time.

I can't believe I just read this, I had no idea they were trying to ban "conversion therapy" for little kids. A sane society would ban mutilating little kids who do not have the maturity to make such insane decisions. What term do they use for the brainwashing that talks kids into thinking they're something they're not in the first place? We are in so much trouble.

The article does not explain whether this is the conversion TO the mismatched gender or the conversion back to normal. If it's the first scenario then any friend, parent or somebody who is already LGBTQ can talk the child into not believing that what he/she has between his/her legs was installed correctly.

Really? Did they outlaw conversion therapy or Conversion therapy. Like banning giving kids hormone to change convert them from say a male to a female? SInce they keep the penis, isn't this really converting them to a homosexual?

Notice this is about changing sexual orientation or gender identity, not about the science of gender or sex. God created them male and female; all that other nonsense is simply choice. There's no genetic proof that a male with a penis is really a female without one. People are crazy these days!

Widely discredited by whom, and when? I have not seen any scientific studies or read any reports that discredit the practice. Once again, it is just gay activists and their media lapdogs who claim it has been "discredited," without any evidence. What is it to them, if someone wishes to have therapy to counter their perverted urges? Our youth are constantly bombarded by gay propaganda, telling them how wonderful and normal it is, but no other views are allowed, and must be banned and criminalized.

Georgia Senate candidate Jon Ossoff (D.) told a crowd earlier this month that Democrats needed to defeat President Donald Trump's backers so badly that they wouldn't be able to show their faces in public. "We need to send a message this year," Ossoff said. "We need to send a message that if you indulge this kind of politics, you're not just going to get beat. You're going to get beaten so bad you can never run or show your face again in public, because we have had enough, absolutely enough of what we are getting from Donald Trump and his fellow travelers right now."

TAMPA — A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a dog along the Gasparilla Parade route Saturday evening after it attacked a patrol horse, authorities said. Deputies called for backup outside the high-rise 345 Bayshore Condominiums at about 6:30 p.m., shortly after the Parade of Pirates wound past the spot near the exit ramp for Tampa General Hospital. Large crowds were still gathered along the Bayshore Boulevard route at the time of the attack and watched as the dog, believed to be a pit bull, charged at a team of horses carrying mounted patrol deputies from both the Sheriff’s Office and the Tampa Police Department. The Wall Street Journal reports that the Justice Department "now believes it should have discontinued its secret surveillance of one-time Trump campaign adviser Carter Page far earlier than it did, according to a new court filing unsealed Thursday." Lack of probable cause is stated as the reason. Page was subject of surveillance starting in late 2016, but three subsequent renewals of the surveillance warrants were made. Two of those have been deemed illegitimate. The Federalist reports that "The order from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC), which was created and authorized by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), was initially signed and issued on January 7, 2020,

Shortly before President Trump flew back home from Davos on Wednesday, he opened the attack on Democrats Jerrod Nadler and Adam Schiff during an impromptu press conference. Trump blasted the two Democrat leaders (and impeachment managers), while saying he'd love to visit the Senate trial. Like Senator Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Trump is reluctant to call on new witnesses to testify. However, he said, he is more than willing to make sure one new person visits the proceedings: him. "I'd love to go, wouldn't that be great?" he said. It's impossible to avoid news of the Dems' Big Sham, which is so "exciting" that CNN spent hours on Monday running a never-ending picture-in-picture livestream of the empty Senate chamber. If that doesn't get your blood pumping, what could? Democrats can't come right out and say they're impeaching Trump just for being Trump, even though that's exactly what they're doing. So they held this big investigation, and found that yes indeed, President Trump had committed foreign policy. They can't actually impeach him for that, either, so instead they impeached him for defending himself against

Democrats know that Trump won’t be convicted in the U.S. Senate. Yet, we’ve seen them push for a fight over witnesses that could very easily extend the trial longer than necessary at a time they really don’t want to be pulling their candidates off the campaign trail. So, what’s their strategy exactly? Is it about pulling their radical and less electable senators away from early voting states and clearing the way for the supposedly more electable Joe Biden to get the advantage? But, if the Democrats insist on a whole slate of witnesses, the possibility of Republicans calling Hunter Biden,
