Paging Laura Ingraham: An Alaska Senate
Seat Is Yours for the Taking In 2022

Original Article

Posted By: earlybird, 1/19/2020 4:34:57 PM

A reader contacted me recently and begged me to get in touch with Laura Ingraham somehow. The Alaska Senate seat is ripe for the taking by the right Republican candidate. Alaska Republicans are desperate for a change—and desperately sick of Lisa Murkowski, the current senator from Alaska and an alleged (but only alleged) Republican. So this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship—no, not between me and Laura Ingraham (whom I’ve never met and whose contact info I do not have, (Snip). This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship between Laura Ingraham and the state of Alaska, as well as between Ingraham and Alaska Republicans.

Just realized that a piece like this could give good ole Lisa something to think about on the brink of a Senate impeachment trial of a Republican President who has revitalized our country...

Murky has been a total embarrassment, for a long time. I really hope that SOMEBODY sensible will push her out.

It would be an income reduction but I would take that deal. Always wanted to live in Alaska. Why wasn't Sarah Palin considered? Now that she is unencumbered by her colorful family.

Is Laura from Alaska? If not she should decline this idea. We have seen too many phoney carpetbaggers now, like the Hildebeast and Romney, pretending to be from one state while actually being from another just to get a senate seat. Isn't Mrs Palin from Alaska? She would be good and not phoney.

Is this column supposed to be provocative? Carpetbagging is not a good idea. If Alaskans do like Murkowski, run a resident of Alaska against her.

The article is a little too cutesy for my taste, but it shows that the field is ripe for a decent conservative. I agree with the previous posters about carpetbagging. Come on, Alaska......find one of your own.

This article seems like an overly long love letter to Laura. She has no ties to Alaska that I am aware of, so the carpetbagger charge is valid. A true Republican from the state is the answer. Is Sarah available??

Murcowski needs to be replaced that's for certain. But is Laura Ingraham the person to do it? Not in my book she isn't I like Sarah Palin, but I am far away in the People's Republic of Maryland under Democrat rule and don't know the feelings of the Alaskan people. They should have a good Republican somewhere in the State to run against Murcowski.

Lets remember that Murki lost the primary to a good conservative and then ran as an independent write-in and through a corrupt court system was able to have the Eskimos take her name on a piece of paper into the voting booth to make sure they had the correct write-in. So, there is no guarantee than someone else would be successful. Would love to see it though. She is worthless as a Republican.

On Monday, as senators and House impeachment managers prepared for the opening of President Trump’s impeachment trial Tuesday, Democrats and their courtiers in the mainstream press decided to ratchet up the their rhetoric to the point of delusional hysteria. The House managers(Snip)issued a statement that essentially accused Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of a coverup, saying his proposed rules for the trial are “rigged,” nothing more than an “effort to prevent the full truth of the President’s misconduct from coming to light.” That wasn’t all. Schiff and the impeachment managers also called on Trump’s lead impeachment lawyer, Pat A. Cipollone, to disclose what he knows about the president’s alleged behavior

EXCLUSIVE: The attorneys general of 21 states have come forward with a blistering rebuke of the impeachment of President Trump, asserting that it "establishes a dangerous historical precedent." The Republican attorneys general, in a letter submitted to the Senate Wednesday morning and obtained by Fox News, urged the chamber conducting Trump's trial to "reject" the impeachment articles."If not expressly repudiated by the Senate, the theories animating both Articles will set a precedent that is entirely contrary to the Framers' design and ruinous to the most important governmental structure protections contained in our Constitution: the separation of powers," they wrote.

A follow-up to Karen’s post earlier noting how Team Biden is pressuring the media not to give credence to Trump’s theories about why Joe Biden leaned on Ukraine to fire its top prosecutor. (Snip) Namely, this video, which I believe is the campaign’s first sustained response to the Ukraine allegations since the story broke big in September. Presumably they were holding back just in case events intervened somehow to disrupt the impeachment process. No sense in opening this can of worms and inadvertently helping Trump alert the public to possible shenanigans in the Obama administration’s Ukraine policy until they absolutely had to.

Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff stared down President Trump’s lawyers on the Senate floor Tuesday as they accused him of lying to the American people and denying Trump due process during the impeachment investigation. Trump lawyers Pat Cipollone and Jay Sekulow repeatedly ripped into Democrats, especially Schiff, on the first day of arguments in the Senate impeachment trial, as the House Intelligence Committee chairman(Snip)sat up straight in his chair and didn’t take his eyes off his accusers. The lawyers invoked Schiff’s name over and over again, accusing him of hiding documents, conducting an unfair impeachment inquiry and fabricating the text of the July 25 phone call between Trump and the president of Ukraine.

If you were wondering why Nancy Pelosi’s impeachment strategy feels like political malpractice, we now can understand why: she’s heeding advice from Watergate-era convicted criminal John Dean. In a fawning cover story, a Pelosi aide revealed to Time magazine that the speaker credits former the Nixon White House counsel with the idea of delaying transmission of the impeachment articles to the Senate. Typically, attorney advice is offered behind closed doors, but Pelosi jumped on this after she heard Dean discussing the idea during an appearance on CNN. Dean’s a strange choice. His life has been built on lies and misinformation, yet he’s always a welcome guest to mainstream media outlets

The media landscape in 2020 is radically different than even the vitriolic (and sometimes physically dangerous) climate that enveloped the 2016 election. Still, many newspaper editorial boards are going about business as usual by issuing formal endorsements of candidates in the Democratic primary — as The New York Times did on Sunday night with Sens. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., and Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. — before they will most likely endorse the party's nominee over Donald Trump, much as they did in 2016. But editors nationwide need to wake up to the new reality and sit out endorsing anyone in the 2020 election.

The Department of Justice has reportedly assigned an FBI special agent to work with Immigration and Customs and Enforcement and the Department of Education Inspector General Charge to investigate Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) for alleged criminal violations relating to perjury, immigration fraud, marriage fraud, state and federal tax fraud, federal student loan fraud, and bigamy. As an immigration lawyer, the very first question that came to mind when I read these reports was what immigration consequences, if any, could attach in the event that any of the above allegations are proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Joe Biden often brags that he was Barack Obama’s foreign affairs consigliere during their eight years together in the White House. “One of the reasons Barack Obama picked me as vice president is because he lacked the background in foreign policy,” Biden told an NPR reporter in December. “He knew what he wanted to do, he knew how to get it done.
