Hulu announces Hillary Clinton

We all died in 2016, and our punishment for our bad decisions is to relive the presidential election every single day, with the exact same cast of characters. The streaming service Hulu released the first trailer Friday for its four-part Hillary Clinton docuseries titled, Hillary. (Although “docuseries” may not be the best word for it. “Hagiography” seems more appropriate.) Director Nanette Burstein reportedly shot more than 35 hours of original interview footage with Clinton and used a total 1,700 hours of footage to create what CNN describes as an “intimate portrait of the one-time Democratic presidential candidate.” 'One-time?' Have we already forgotten about 2008? "There was nothing off-limits,"

It should be called "Hillar-iously Out of Touch" Who in their right mind would have a desire to watch this propaganda?! Is this "docuseries" a precursor to Hillary's run in 2020? I hope so, as that would be an absolute gift to President Trump.

I am quite sure NBC owns HULU. Enough said? Therefore this is a planned event, in advance of her move on the 2nd ballot at the convention. It is all falling into place. (As they keep her from falling all over the place on the campaign trail until the last possible moment).

If you had any art skills at all and sat down to draw a sketch of what you think a sycophantic filmmaker obsessed with Hillary might look like, you would by accident or design probably come up with Nanette Burstein. She ticks all the boxes - no makeup, unkempt hair, denim shirt, pinched face that is only faintly feminine, smug expression. As time progresses it's Hillary herself - along with a dwindling core of deluded supporters - who reveal that Hillary's main interest in the presidency was to have her ego pumped up every day. She would finally be out of the shadow of her 'husband.' In all her unwelcome pronouncements there has been little or no mention of policy, of actions she would or would not have taken, etc. It's merely a long, boring foot-stomping exercise. This sort of narcissism seems endemic to Democrats and especially Democrat females - Pelosi, AOC/the squad, even burnt-out bulbs like Feinstein and bulbs that never lit like Hirono. The focus is eternally on the self. Disagreements about policy instantly become slanging matches.

May her hagiography tank, like all the other media junk promoted by Her Thighness, especially “Gutsy Women.” Will this feature her harrowing experience with sniper fire in Bosnia? Will she speak with a Southern sharecropper accent with a black interviewer? Will she asked how hard she threw that ashtray at Bill during the Monica thing? Will she reveal what happened to all that earthquake money for Haiti? I wouldn't watch one second of that garbage, even if I’m in an airport terminal on a layover!

These hagiographies are not without some real value. The War Room has that powerful scene of George Stephanopolus on the eve of the election threatening journalists on the phone that if they print the breaking stories about Clinton's womanizing, they'll get banned from the Whitehouse and their careers will end. A real #MeToo guy that George. The recent PBS retro has some former insider explaining, "we didn't want impeachment because there are so many arcane federal laws, you can't function without breaking one." Resonate today?

Using the words, "intimate" and "Hillary" in the same sentence does not produce a pretty picture or an enticing ad. If the old broad told the truth during her "interviews" they would have to frog march her from the studio directly to jail. Could this be the long-awaited introduction of the Beest as the savior of the democrat party in 2020? I hope so. Maybe they will delight us with some bonus cameo appearances of Webb's daughter and the Horndog Child Rapist? You never know.

Hagiography-I had to look it up, not being a highly educated person, but the description is apt. A documentary about Hillary from her and her brown-nosers point of view. This might be one of Hulu's premier events of the year. But I sincerely doubt it.

'One-time?' Have we already forgotten about 2008? One-time can imply she ran once (which is clearly not true) or that she was a candidate once upon a time (i.e. a synonym for "former"). Ambiguity can be exploited to mislead the simple-minded. Or the reader in a hurry, who skims the headlines and ledes. Easily-avoidable ambiguity irks me. Making a big deal out of this one seems somewhat petty, though.

New evidence from Lev Parnas has Democrats more insistent than ever that the Senate impeachment trial include testimony from witnesses who did not appear before the House. Parnas joins the ranks of John Bolton and Mick Mulvaney as key witnesses the Dems say they need testimony from. Even the Democrats can’t deny that Parnas is a problematic witness. He appears to be a crook with a motive to lie. However, Parnas has provided documents to support some of his claims. The documents cannot be dismissed on credibility grounds. For several months, House Democrats have sought to translate their desire to impeach President Trump into compelling television. They first hoped special counsel Robert Mueller would offer gripping testimony that would jump-start an impeachment effort based on his Trump-Russia report. The show did not turn out as planned. Then they hoped televised hearings on the Ukraine matter would grab the public's attention. But again, no blockbuster. For all their work, Democrats were not able to raise public support for impeachment beyond the level it had been before the hearings. On Oct. 12, 2019, weeks before the public sessions began, support for impeaching the president was 49.8%,

Famous for being the birthplace of Toni Morrison, Lorain was once a bustling steel town that drew people from all over the country for manufacturing work. Even the high school football team was named “The Steelmen.” But today, like many Rust Belt towns, Lorain shows signs of decay: ramshackle houses, vacant buildings covered in graffiti, and abandoned plants and factories — lots of them. Thanks to the exodus of manufacturing jobs in the United States under NAFTA, Lorain was struggling long before the economic crisis of 2008. In 2000, the per capita income

To start, in 2016, he only beat the highly unpopular Hillary Clinton in the Electoral College by winning three key swing states by less than 1%. In 2018, all three of them, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan turned against Republicans. Trump also has historically low approval ratings and has been consistently trailing Democratic front-runner Joe Biden in general election matchups. But at the same time, there are several factors

If the Trump era has taught us anything, it's that large numbers of white people in the United States are motivated at least in part by racism in the voting booth. Donald Trump ran an openly racist campaign for president, calling Mexicans rapists and criminals, regularly retweeting white supremacists and at least initially balking at repudiating former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke. Trump made it clear in his campaign that "Make America Great Again" meant that America was greater when white people's power was more sweeping and more secure. White voters approved of that message by a whopping 58 percent to 37 percent.

President Donald Trump made a stark appeal to black Americans during the 2016 election when he asked, “What have you got to lose?” Three years later, black Americans have rendered their verdict on his presidency with a deeply pessimistic assessment of their place in the United States under a leader seen by an overwhelming majority as racist. The findings come from a Washington Post-Ipsos poll of African Americans nationwide, which reveals fears about whether their children will have a fair shot to succeed and a belief that white Americans don’t fully appreciate the discrimination that black people experience.
