How imbecilic are those Republicans trying to make a name for themselves by supporting the unconstitutional Schiff/Pelosi articles of impeachment?
Beyond polite description.
Susan Collins, Rob Portman, probably the self-serving Mitt Romney, are all trying to be the biggest monkey wrenches in an already ridiculous endeavor to remove President Trump from office. Each of them should just admit he is a Democrat at heart and switch parties. How else to explain their betrayal of their own party? Poor judgment is one thing, like Matt Gaetz voting for Pelosi's meaningless resolution to limit Trump's ability to counteract Iran. That was just dumb, a hopefully momentary lapse.

I guess the stupid RINOs just still don't get how MAD we are about the way they lie to us and sabotage the president. I've had it. Fed up doesn't begin to describe my attitude.

RINO/Establishment Republicans have been screwing up two-car funerals for over 80 years. The wisest political advice I ever was taught was by my high school history teacher, a Nixonian Democrat, in 1972. Never underestimate the stupidity of the national Republican Party. Rest in Peace, Mr. Shriver!

I am fed up, too. But no amount of squealing and/or vote-threatening will change these CDs (closet Dims). It will take something a bit more dramatic. And something sooner than Nov.

I sincerely hope there is a motion to dismiss and McConnell requires every Republican to vote on it so everyone knows exactly where all the Republicans stand.

If they convict Trump of this farce I predict it will be blood in the streets.

On the bright side, if Collins, Romney, Murkowski or Portman vote against the president, they will follow Flake and his ilk out the door. Democrats could pick up a seat or two short term, but it will lead to a better Republican party over time.
If the vote to support the president, it will leave the Democrats deflated and the Republican party unified as we enter the 2020 elections.

This has been pretty obvious for a while. You can absolutely count on Romney to stab the President in the back at every possible opportunity. Murkowski is just a lunatic, and much more of a Dem than a Republican, and the same is true of Collins, who clearly never wants to miss a chance to harm Trump.
Could be even a few more, Lee might want to prove his ......insanity?

Said it all along. For impeachment to succeed requires Republican assistance. Watch the Republicans! We know where the Democrats stand. They are tyrants. We really don't know for sure where the Republicans stand. You want to trust the Republicans, but they persist in stabbing their constituents in the back.
The Democrats are tyrants. The Republicans are backstabbers.
Great choice. Not.

You'd have to be a complete idiot to not see this is exactly WHY Pelosi held on to those articles for so long! She was just waiting until she KNEW the votes were not there to dismiss. I am so royally pi$$ed off I feel like QE2.
How the Republican Senators couldn't see this coming is beyond me. 6 weeks of trial and expect a zillion Ballsey-Ford types to come out of the woodwork. The Demos want nothing but character assassination right up to the election and the asinine Republicans have just enabled that.

If the Senate even accepts these un-Constitutional Articles of Impeachment, POTUS should simply refuse to leave the White House and demand Supreme Court intervention.

#6, not necessarily, the mormons in Utah will vote for romney no matter what he does, he's one of them. Mike Lee is useless and Huntsman will be their next governor, Utah's version of the Clintons.

The impeachment is in the Senate. The fiasco has started. The RINOs will betray us as always, and they will be re-elected. The mess has started and will never end. You can forget about Lindsey Grahams chest thumping about this will be quickly dismissed. He will do nothing, as every time. Get ready to be disgusted and bored to death with the Senate over the next year, and it wallows in this mess.

Start setting up their primary opponents. Without a primary opponent, they usually get re-elected. That has to be a local grass-roots effort. It's not too late to put a chill up their back.

20 Republican Senators would have to defect to convict. Not going to happen.

The GOP/RINOs just can't help themselves.
They are part of the PROBLEM, and not part of the solution.
It's very surprising that Yertle the Turtle, the the head RINO, hasn't turned coat either.

#16 is right. They'll never get 20 Republican Senators to convict. But I don't think that's the Demo's goal. Their goal is to DESTROY Trump, to demonize him endlessly so he can't possibly be reelected. Now that they have their toe in the door, they'll call an untold number of "just-stepped-forward-with-critical information" witnesses who will tell unending Ballsey-Ford tales right up to Election Day. And since most Americans can't sit back and watch a 6 week trial in it's entirety, they will have to rely on the 24/7 distorted media coverage, which is exactly what the Demos want. And don't be surprised if in the end Hillary steps in to save the day. Something's up. She's been wayyyy too quiet.

Any republican who supports the Schiff, Nadler , Pelosi fake impeachment should be voted out. It’s disgusting. It was a one sided secret coup & the republicans should dismiss based on the lack of evidence. The ole fake republicans like the Bushes, Romney, Collins, Lisa, Krystol, Will, Lee should step aside, this is Trumps real party.
