Rand Paul’s warning shot to GOP Senators:
If you side with Dems on witnesses, I’m forcing

Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky) is playing hardball with the Democrats — and with his fellow Republicans — over the sham impeachment. Paul warned Republican senators that if they cave to Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s shrill, baseless demands to call more impeachment witnesses like John Bolton, then he’ll have no choice but to demand that Hunter Biden be called to testify about his shady Ukraine dealings. Basically, Paul said House Democrats should not be allowed to dictate how the Senate impeachment trial runs. Democrats had their turn with their House impeachment proceedings last month. Now, it’s the Senate’s turn to handle the matter. Reminder: There are TWO chambers of Congress —

Now that is cool. Rand is about 60% of the time a total PITA, and about 30% just a minor nuisance. But 10% of the time he is a gem.

One can never tell in advance where Rand Paul will stand on an issue or what he will say. He's not exactly consistent. It can be great at times, but mostly it means he is not dependable.

The problem with not calling witnesses to this sham impeachment is that unless the Senate calls witnesses, we will never hear from the faux whistleblower, Eric Ciarmella, nor from the Biden criminal family at the center of the scandal. Nor from Schiff, who created the Ukraine scandal fiction. We also know that we the GOP Senate will never conduct a separate hearing on Ciarmella and the Bidens, and that the GOP minority in the House lacks subpoena power to compel testimony. Finally, we know that AG Barr is too busy with his snail’s pace investigation of Comey and McCabe to ever question Joe Biden about his quid pro quo actions on behalf of Hunter, so we’re left without public exposure of how Pelosi and Schiff managed to create an impeachment lie from the President’s July 25th phone call with Ukraine.

Yes 4 & 5, along with Schiff’s staff. Why not Pelosi’s son, Kerry’s son, Romney’s former chief of staff. Play dirty just like the radical Dems. Conceivably, each could have had a part influencing an American election by coercing a foreign country. We need the secret testimonies of Schiff’s basement interviews brought to light as well.

Very respectfully, #6, it wouldn't matter one bit whether or not The ShiffleBlower admitted straight out that he lied---the MEDIA would not report it. Nobody has time to sit back and watch a 6 week trial, so Americans will be forced to depend on the MEDIA to find out what's happening. Good luck with that. The media will distort the facts beyond recognition at best or simply omit reporting key information at worst. So big freaking deal if we can witnesses confess to wrongdoing. It doesn't matter AT ALL. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the Demos will haul out a gazillion "newly found" witnesses who will contribute to destroying Trump's character, whether it is pertinent to the impeachment trial or not.

Every witness called will challenge the subpoena in court. Lawyers will delay delay delay. They will drag it on till November. That has to be the plan.

I might be wrong here, but if I was Democrat’s I would see the chief justice’s role as a real wild card. First, it’s Roberts who has not been shy about being anti republican. Second, his role is not well defined, which could mean that the Dems will seek to use his undefined role to expand it in a way that handicaps this president. Dems will not treat this like Clinton’s impeachment. There are no lines they won’t cross. And, there is nothing they won’t say or do to get power and keep it from republicans. I sense shenanigans are coming and Roberts will be a part of it.

If the Dems demand a witness then the Republicans demand Hunter Biden. If they demand a second witness then the Republicans demand Joe Biden. Then continue with Hillary, and Obama for starters.

The House impeachment proceedings had a farcical element from start to finish. They began with Adam "Pencil Neck" Schiff making up facts; continued with secret hearings, something a prosecuting party would never do if the facts favored it; moved to a partisan vote on two made-up Articles of Impeachment; and finally, contradicting the Democrats’ earlier insistence that impeachment was an urgent necessity to preserve the nation, the House sat on the Articles of Impeachment for a full month. Yesterday, with great fanfare, bizarrely slurred speech, strange poetic references, ceremonial pens, and giggles and grins belying Nancy Pelosi’s words about solemnity, the House finally transferred the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate.

Fake history is a lot like fake news -- left-leaning propaganda devoid of truth and substance. Wednesday’s impeachment display was truly one for the fake history books. Defying the narrative of a somber undertaking, cheery pink suit and all, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi barely suppressed, along with her colleagues, a demeanor of self-satisfaction and sheer delight worthy of the Academy Award. Of course, instead of the Oscar, there was the “Nancy,” a gold pen emblazoned with her name, given to the greatest political performers who act as if they have the best interests of the United States at heart.

The articles of impeachment have finally been delivered to the Senate. The news media covered it with extra piety: The resolution passed largely along party lines by 228 votes to 193. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi signed copies of the articles alongside the team of Democratic lawmakers who will prosecute the case against Mr Trump. The House, controlled by opposition Democrats, impeached the president last month. The Senate, controlled by Mr Trump's Republican Party, will decide whether to convict and remove him from office. At a press conference before the signing of the articles, Nancy Pelosi said: "Today we will make history.

Do you not feel the enthusiasm?!?!? A full month after the oh-so-important WE ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO DO IT NOW House vote to impeach President Trump, Speaker Nancy Pelosi finally decided to get around to what she should have done the day after the vote: On Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi led Democrats in approving a measure to finally forward the articles of impeachment passed on December 18 over to the Senate for a trial. Pelosi had held up the articles after insisting that Trump needed to be impeached as soon as possible because he posed an imminent threat to the 2020 election. Democrats also approved seven impeachment managers,

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) declared herself “sad” as she used more than a dozen commemorative pens to sign the two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Wednesday evening. The occasion was “so sad, so tragic for our country,” Pelosi told reporters, noting the “difficult time in our country’s history.” She then approached a table that had been prepared with the documents, and two dishes full of pens for her to use — about half a dozen pens in each. Pelosi then sat and signed the articles, one for “abuse of power” and one for “obstruction of Congress.” She applied each pen,

It’s not clear what the trio planned to do or where they wanted to go when they were stopped late Tuesday, base spokesman Charles Anthony said, calling the mortar round “an explosive device” and “a deadly weapon.” A mortar is a portable weapon that is loaded and fired by dropping an exploding shell into a tube. Anthony said no firing device was in the car.

One day later, on Tuesday, the state appellate court stepped in to stop the Elections Commission from cleaning out the cemetery vote: The removal of as many as 209,000 names was put on hold a day after an Ozaukee County judge found three members of the Wisconsin Elections Commission in contempt of court for ignoring an order he gave in December 2019.

Harvard has released a radical proposal to fix America's broken democracy.Researchers suggest Congress needs to pass legislation reducing the size of Washington, D.C. to just a few core federal buildings and declaring its 127 neighborhoods as states. These new states would add enough votes for Congress to rewrite the Constitution in a way that 'every vote counts equally' by ratifying four amendments. The plan entails equal representation in both the Senate and the House, replacing the Electoral College with a popular vote and modifying 'the Constitution's amendment process that would ensure future amendments are ratified by states representing most Americans.' The authors of the proposal suggest dividing D.C.
