Over the weekend, I saw a ton of "Bloomberg for president" TV ads. They were good and probably very expensive.
On the ground in Texas, Mr. Bloomberg got off to an unimpressive start. In fact, 45 people showed up to hear the New Yorker, according to news reports:
Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg claims he is ready to spend more than $1 billion in an effort to oust President Trump, but money may not be bringing supporters to his campaign.
Just 45 people showed up to Bloomberg's latest rally with TV star Judge Judy Sheindlin in Texas on Saturday, according to the New York Post.

He's not getting his money's worth for those ads... When it says "Mike Bloomberg has never accepted a penny from special interests" I think: HE is the "special interests".

I think the only chance that Bloomberg has is if Biden drops out and the dem establishment is casting about for another candidate. The only way the front runner would drop out is if he did something really stupid. Since this is crazy Uncle Joe, the odds are high that that will happen. The Leftist candidates are ramping up the pressure on Biden since the actual primary voting is beginning. He doesn't react well to pressure. They better watch out. He may challenge them to a pushup contest. Or give them a poke in the nose out behind the schoolhouse. I would pay good money to see Biden poke Bernie in the nose.

Bloomberg's not running to WIN. He's running to try to destroy TRUMP by casting as many aspersions as possible.

To paraphrase the Beatles song, "Can't buy (him) lo-ove, no-oh...money can't buy (him) love." May he will get the t-shirt though. You know the one...in a size Small, of course.

That NY nurse on the Bloomberg health care commercials does not wear well either. Last thing I want is a mouthy nurse telling me what to do. His hidden message is that he put 700,000 people on Medicaid (How many has President Trump taken off Medicaid through jobs and prosperity? We'll never know from the MSM.)
His definition of "reproductive health" for woman is really abortion. Finally, do you want a President who tells you how to live your life? For example, poor people should be taxed to death because if you let them have their money THEY make bad choices. No guns, no big gulps, no cars, Green new deal, etc. NO THANK YOU BLOOMBERG. I like America great, like it is now.

Nanny Bloomberg ran off hte rails as soon as he claimed Cali is a great role model for the rest of the nation. Seriously? He just wants what he cannot have, though he thinks he has enough money to buy it. Problem is, the public has his number, and has had it for a long time. Mini Mike is a great name for him.

I saw the Obamacare/health insurance ad. It didn't seem very effective. The point wasn't clearly made. I don't think he is getting his money's worth on that one.

A governor and the state legislature put people on medicaid, not a mayor. Bloomberg is a liar, and so is that nurse.
The little mayor is an annoyance, nothing else.
Ross Perot, as an independent, promised to get government more responsive to the people. "I'm Ross, and you're the boss" was a catchy slogan. He even went so far as to say all households should be wired to D.C., and people should vote on policy issues, to tell Congress and the President what to do.
That was simple-minded and silly, but it had a certain appeal.
The little mayor is the opposite of Ross Perot.

I think Bloomberg would lose NY if he were to be the nominee. Those people hated him as much as they hate DeBlasio! Steyer is just Creepy, so cross him off! I don't see Biden being any threat to Trump! Looks like another four years for Our Great President!

His ads are like vanity puff pieces and he is visually quite unattractive. Ditto Steyer. I don’t like to look at either of them.
Bloomie’s ads during the National Championship college game last night were literally buried in a plethora of ads for products of all kinds. Went by so fast, there was no need to fast forward or mute. Whoosh. Gone. Had to have cost him a lot. It will be the same during the Super Bowl when only the clever ads gain any attention. Amusing ads. His are neither clever nor amusing. Dull, dull, dull. And painfully choreographed and staged. Ick.

The ads are right in only one respect. Bloomberg does not take money from "Special Interests". Instead he finances them.

Bloomberg (and Steyer) aren't any different than the rest of the Democratic field. They just have money. They have to show a real alternative to what is running for office to gain any traction. Look at their ads. It is easy to imagine Biden, Sanders, or Warren saying EXACTLY THE SAME THINGS. Yawn!!! There is no difference!
Much of what Bloomberg is proposing was already being done by Obama. Really have to wonder if Bloomberg was influencing Obama. He's a lot like Soros. Agree that Bloomberg (and Steyer) are special interests. Rather than donate to other candidates, Bloomberg decided to run for President himself. After all, if Trump could become President, Bloomberg thinks he can too.

I have been seeing his ads for a few weeks. They are well done but all have one very glaring omission. While the theme is "Mike will get it done" Mike never says what he will do. No one knows better than Mini Mike that the American people don't want his brand of Nanny State idiocy.

In 2001, life long liberal Democrat, Mike Bloomberg changed his party registration from Democrat to Republican to run for NYC Mayor. The NYC Republican party was thrilled. He knew if he remained a Democrat he would never win a Democrat primary. He was elected Mayor in November of 2001 for only one reason. Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, America's Mayor, put his arm around little Mike and said this is my guy. Vote for him. Bloomberg spent about $74 million on that race and won the election against Democrat liberal Mark Green, by only about 40,000 votes which was a very close election. As mayor, he was an incredible spendthrift and as we all know became Mayor Nanny. But he did keep all of the public safety successes of the incredible Giuliani administration. Stupid he's not. In 2005, he was elected a second time spending about $80 million against a very weak candidate Fernando Ferrer. Then after the corrupt NYC Council changed the term limits law allowing all of them and Bloomberg to run for a third term (New Yorkers voted TWICE to install term limits) he spent just about $100 million, running against Bill Thompson, another relatively weak candidate and won again only by about 40,000. All of that to say even in NYC he didn't have a huge following. Mike is an opportunist who because he has lots of dough will use that money to buy elections, either for himself or for his designated candidates or causes. In our blessed country thankfully he is free (for the most part--campaign finance laws aside) to buy elections as long as people vote for him or his causes legally. But, buying elections doesn't necessarily make one popular and in this populist election, little Mike is going to get his butt whipped. As a former NYC resident, I can't wait.

When his ads come on, I usually hit the mute button, throw up a "bird" at the screen or both. Same with Tom Steyer. Both of them are basically saying the same thing: "We got ours, now the taxpayers will get theirs!"
