Queen Elizabeth II has responded to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s request to “step back” as senior members of the royal family, Fox News has learned on Monday. She also said she has agreed to allow the couple to move part-time to Canada. “Today my family had very constructive discussions on the future of my grandson and his family,” the reigning monarch shared in a statement. “My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family. Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their wish

I wish they would just step away totally and live in Canada. It seems they want it both ways. Reading between the lines, it seems like this is not going to be easy to resolve. The Palace does not want to anger Harry and Meghan because they know the family secrets and could reveal them.

My mind carries me back to the day when I, age 19, told my mother I was going to move into an apartment ''across town'' with my best gal pal. Mom said, ''Go ahead. And if you can find something better than free, take it!'' (Nor was it her ring and scepter she said I could kiss.) I stayed the entire weekend with my BFF who as it turns out was a total narcissist and expected me to wait upon her hand and foot. Thanks, Mom.

That meeting did not resolve anything, as Meghan and Harry already have, for all intents and purposes, moved to Canada. Meghan is already in Canada and you can bet your boots that Harry will be heading that way. The move to Canada is only an interim move, as there is little doubt that Meghan intends to eventually move to someplace near Hollywood where she can live with her mother and can ingratiate herself with the Hollywood politically correct progressive cabal, including the Clintons, the Obamas, Winfrey, and anyone else who can assist her in a future acting career and install her as essentially the Queen of Hollywood. Meghan has been a very politicized individual and there is little doubt that she will become more progressively political as time goes on. In that respect Meghan is showing that she is not suited to remain a working member of the Royal Family in the U.K. where Royalty is expected by long-standing tradition to not be involved in partisan politics. Meagan has said that the family and media atmosphere in the U.K. is toxic to her, so it is far fetched to believe that Meagan will ever voluntarily reside there, except for short vacations, in the future. Once it becomes evident to the British people that Meagan and Harry are not going to reside in the U.K. and carry out their assigned Royal duties there will be a huge problem and revolt against Harry continuing to be financially supported using taxpayers money. Remember the Queen has no authority to tell Meagan and Harry directly in which country they can live. If Meagan and Harry want to live in Canada they must receive permission of the Government of Canada to do so. If they want to reside in the USA indefinitely, Meagan as a US citizen, has the right to file for permanent resident alien (green card) status for Harry. Since Meagan comes from an unstable family where divorce is the norm rather then the exception, with her already being divorced herself. So once Meagan and Harry are considered to be residents of California, Meagan could pull the divorce trigger hoping that under California law she could end up with half of Harry’s millions, plus require him to pay huge amounts of child support for about the next twenty years. At the moment Harry does not look like a winner as this fiasco plays out.

The Queen learned from the Diana embarrassment that you can't expect to come between a man and wife and win in any way. Just step back, throw up your hands, wish the young idiots the best, and let this abysmal marriage fail under its own gravity, and it will, sadly we all knew this the moment it was announced. Seems every generation of Windsor men has at least one fool who is completely whipped by an unsuitable woman and embarrasses the family. And Harry is a prime example of the saying "There are none so blind as those who will not see."

A psychopathic narcissist takes the fawn-legged overused and put up wet several times grifter through the paces of an analysis. Takes one to know one. Everyone who is American is blowing this off as mere entertainment...yet not batting an eye that THE Grifters, the 4 Grifters of The Apocalypse (the Clintons and the Obamas) are deeply involved in this whole thing...and HAVE been for some time. That should be VERY intense cause for concern...especially when we have direct evidence that H&M are now sidling into the entertainment monopoly of Disney (right alongside with the Obamas.) Is no one worried about what might come of this? We've already seen Disney go woke and destroy several franchises. There is this THING going through our culture that I dont think anyone's really taken a good look at. Its a Hideous Nullification of things that make our society work. Its like someone took "1984" to heart and is doing everything possible to implement it.

Has anyone seen a statement of response from the chocolate-gingerbread couple thanking the Queen and the rest of the clan for their support so far? I really, really feel sorry for Harry --- got taken in by flashy smile and identity politics, and once the hormones kicked into high gear, he doesn't appear to stop them. But it didn't take long for the woman to show true colors, though she apparently had devised the plan all along. Like I always say, men go after (1) the younger chicks or (2) the ones who shake booties before them. Diana was correct to instruct her sons to marry someone they knew well; Harry apparently didn't listen. He looks miserable.

#6 covers it well. I'm not clear whether Harry has a right to reside in Canada as a residual effect of his mother's sovereignty. However, Meghan is not a Canadian citizen and would require permission to live there. Of course, there are many ways to immigrate legally into Canada that don't require royal or political intervention. #26, I like the way your mind works, but perhaps you're being too generous. I have read that they threatened to give a tell all interview if the Queen does not meet their demands. To me this appears to be more from Meghan than her hapless spouse. I remember that Diana pretty much threatened the same thing after she and Charles split. I wonder if Meghan feels lucky?? If I were her I would be VERY careful with the threats. #16 makes excellent points. The fact that they're already deeply enmeshed with some of the most corrupt people in the world and aligning themselves with their very dark agenda is very concerning. The larger goal seems to be to further damage the monarchy, alienate people from one another and disrupt an ancient national tradition that holds their society together. The Clintons are virulently anti-military and Barack Obama is a rabid anti-colonialist who despises Britain. By finding common cause with them, Harry is being maneuvered into a position which will force him either to turn against the military and the monarchy or lose their approval and ultimately, his wife. Very sad.

Is it possible President Donald Trump may have perfectly played the Iran conflict? He's been criticized for different and various reasons by people on the left and on the right. There's been a real concern that the president could get us into a war with Iran. It's early but it seems like Trump has effectively fired a warning shot at Iran to ramp down their continuing escalations -- without risking more American lives. If that's how it plays out, it will be hard not to credit the president for his handling of this matter. To those critical of the president's action to take out Qassem Soleimani,

After losing its top strategist, military commander and arch-terrorist, Qassem Suleimani, the Iranian theocracy is weighing responses. One, Iran can quiet down and cease military provocations. After attacking tankers off its coast, destroying an oil refinery in Saudi Arabia, shooting down a U.S. drone and being responsible for the killing and wounding of Americans in Iraq, Iran could now keep quiet. It might accept that its strategy of escalation has failed to lead to any quantifiable advantage. Trump did not prove a passive "Twitter tiger," as his critics mocked. Instead, he upped the stakes to Iran's disadvantage and existential danger.

The closer we get to the 2020 election, Democratic presidential candidates support more socialist proposals, and the more that we Venezuelan immigrants experience déjà vu. We’re all-too-familiar with the rhetoric Democrats have delivered over the course of their campaigns. All candidates endorse a transition to Medicare-for-All in one form or another, higher taxes on Americans, and a fresh wave of regulations and government-guaranteed “rights.” And just recently, Elizabeth Warren seemed to endorse government-provided housing. These are the kinds of measures they hope will bring about a paradise similar to the Left’s beloved Nordic countries.

Qassem Soleimani’s demise came as his life project — spreading the Islamic Republic’s zeal in the Mideast and beyond — was crumbling. That doesn’t mean the Iranian general couldn’t, or wouldn’t, have wreaked the kind of harm that the Trump administration felt it needed to preempt. It may even explain why Soleimani has been on such a manic campaign. So much for the taunt from Iran’s “supreme leader,” Ayatollah Khamanei, that America “cannot do a damn thing” about Iran’s attack on our embassy in Baghdad. It took President Trump but a day after that jibe to wheel on the Iranians. He launched a drone attack that found and killed the commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, General Qassim Soleimani. It is likely to mark a turning point in the not-so-quasi war that Iran has been levying against us — and, among others, Israel. This is not a situation in which responsibility is being debated on murky evidence.

This is an amoral view that says more about Galli than it does about the president.

The New York Times reported Jan. 11 that Bloomberg “did not rule out spending a billion dollars of his own money on the 2020 presidential race, even if he does not win the Democratic nomination” [emphasis added]. The Times noted that Bloomberg would mobilize his “well-financed political operation” to help rivals Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), “despite their sharp policy differences.”
