Tom Steyer appears to be moving up.
The billionaire environmental advocate turned Democratic presidential candidate is soaring in two new Fox News polls in the early primary and caucus states of South Carolina and Nevada.
And those two surveys put Steyer over the top – and onto the stage at next week’s Democratic presidential nomination debate in Iowa.teyer stands at 15 percent in South Carolina – second only to former Vice President Joe Biden – who’s the overwhelming favorite in the state where black voters make up a majority of Democratic presidential primary electorate. Steyer stands at 12 percent support in Nevada, a jump of 7 points from a Fox News

Opening his ads by calling the President a crook doesn't win me over.

I saw one of his fantasy president ad spots on TV. Disney couldn't do it any better.

FTA: ''...Steyer unveiled a new immigration proposal which would make immigrants fleeing the devastating effects of climate change eligible to enter the U.S. legally. Part of Steyer’s proposal also calls for the U.S. to help countries combat climate change by providing funding, equipment, and American expertise.''
Right, Americans want MORE immigrants to flood the country, get on welfare and be eligible to vote (for d'Rats.) I assume he's going to pay for all this with his own billions?

I saw him in an interview with Fox News and he is a circular evader, who reverts back to his talking points.
Getting him to answer a question directly will be like trying to grab minnows in a bucket.

He is one of the crazier dems running, and I would love to see some honest investigating into his 'bank' that he is so proud of. I cannot believe that he made his fortune honestly and above board like he keeps saying. But I have to wonder if his rise is a signal from the democrat base that they are sick to death of the elderly white folks and the usual suspects who have been at the top of the heap so far.

Looks as if a lot of the money he has spent on his campaign was spent buying favorable poll results.

Agree with above poster, you can’t trust a FOX poll most likely push polling produced by the likes of Chrissy Wallace & Juan Williams.

Steyer’s campaign is certainly tone-deaf. He’s running anti oil, anti fracking ads here in Oklahoma. Not that he’d stand a chance here anyway.

It's all about the "moderation" from the likes of burned out Bernie, Lizzy, and Gropin'Joe. Mayor Bud is fizzling along with the LGBTQ...whatever...crowd. It's name recognition and the lack of apparent craziness...and his ads are ramping up. The rest doesn't matter - he's not one of the roster of familiar fools.

Steyer's rise reflects the desperate groping by rank & file Democrats for someone, anyone who might have a ghost of a chance of defeating PDT. They're squirming. Enjoy it.

and if elected he still has other walls to get past - the House and Senate. Nor is he taking into account the damage Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler and all the rest - Clinton (take your pick), FBI, etc. - have done to the brand. And he is overlooking the fact that he has little name recognition. He is going after the same diversity group losers the rest of the pack are targeting. The climate change scam is losing stream having lied to the people once too many times. And then there is the economy. Nor does this guy seem to comprehend the damage President Trump has done to the media water carriers.
He does have the money and the base and must be dealt with but I don't see President Trump overlooking that fact. President Trump beat out a lot of candidates and a strong contender when he did not have the gravitas he now owns. I almost feel sorry for the guy ... yeah right.

I saw Steyer last night being interviewed by Shannon Bream on FOX. She asked him about the Soleimani strike; if he were President, and he had the same intel that Trump had, what would he have done? Steyer wasted 5 minutes in a non-answer where he asserted that the President had to be 'honest' and 'thoughtful'. He kept criticizing Trump while Shannon tried to put him back on point, i.e. what would HE have done. He didn't come close to what action he would have taken. You could see in Shannon's eyes she knew his answer was BS. It reminded me of the famous scene in Billy Madison:
Mr. Steyer, what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Well, he's not Trump, and it isn't clear yet that he's another idiot-freak in the Democrat clown show. So of course he's 'surging' now among the anybody-but-Trump crowd.
The radio ad for him that I heard last night sounded like he was in one of the primaries debates declaring, with great boldness, that he was "the only one on this stage" who's gone up against oil companies across the nation and won. In that voice, he could have said he was the only one who (anything), and it would have left the impression that (anything) was the only qualification that matters.
Even something completely stupid, like "I'm the only one on this stage who has proven ability to use all three of his penises at once," or, "I'm the only one on this stage who will declare a national state of emergency on climate change the day I take office" ... oh, wait, he did say the latter, didn't he? I guess the Dems are doubling-down on crazy-stupid extremism after all. What a dork.

I love it! Keep this thing a 6-way race and burn money all the way to a brokered convention. And none of them will challenge the others, thus making the eventual nominee not battled-tested.

So he thinks immigrants fleeing the devastating effects of climate change should be eligible to enter the US. Does this mean that he believes we don't have climate here in the US? St. Greta of the North thinks we are some of the worst, since we're the ones she lectures, so why would they come here, with all the fossil fuel being burned on our highways? These billionaire elites really do think we're all dumber than rocks, don't they?

Uses the old Democrat rope-a-dope strategy. Says what people want to hear in the sticks (outside of DC), but once he's there, it will be business as usual. Even face-flat drunk, no Democrat swamp creature would vote for congressional term limits.

Freaks mock President Trump because he used a million dollar loan from his father to start his real estate empire. Tom Steyer 'built' his wealth by increasing his daddy's hedge fund. Like Bloomers, when you trade insider information and have many, many, millions to start with, it isn't rocket science to make the first billion. Steyer, like folksy Warren is a freakish human. Few people want to listen to him or be near him because he gives off a real lunatic vibe, at least that's how I feel. When millions bought the low rent actor jive of BO for eight long years, anything is possible in this insane culture.

Steyer has completely ruined two local radio stations with his vile and moronic ads that run nonstop here in GOP country.
Interestingly though, they have served to strengthen my faith in President Trump and his re-election.

Am still waiting for a dim with enough moxie to ask Quid Pro Joe if one of the pallets of cash Hussein sent to Iran ended up in Hunter's pocket. PT will ask. Why won't you?
