Joe Biden Confuses Iraq With Iran—Twice

Original Article

Former vice president and presidential hopeful Joe Biden confused Iraq with Iran twice while on the campaign trail on Tuesday. "Iran's parliament voted to eject all Americans and coalition forces from the country," Biden said at a rally in New York. He made the mistake again when he said Trump threatened to get the United States into war with Iraq. "I said not long ago that as the walls close in on this president, I worried that he was going to get us in war with Iraq," Biden said at private fundraiser in New York City.

Maybe we should cut Quid Pro Joe some slack. Both Iraq and Iran begin with IRA just like Individual Retirement Account and the Irish Republican Army. There are just so many facts that can be crammed into the brain of a sand flea. When Schiff hit the fan the blame game starts. The person most responsible for Iran is the Prevaricating Peanut Picker Jimmy Carter. His selective human rights program led to the overthrow of the Shah and a regime run by loons.

‘Epstein Didn’t Kill Himself’ Explains
Why Trump’s Impeachment Is A Sham

There is a simple reason President Donald Trump should not have been impeached by the House, and the Senate should acquit him: Epstein didn’t kill himself. In writing this, I don’t mean I am convinced that the billionaire child sex-abuser was murdered by one of his many wealthy and powerful acquaintances to keep him quiet — although I wouldn’t rule that out. Rather, I mean it in the sense in which “Epstein didn’t kill himself” has become a pervasive cultural meme, as a general assertion of cynicism regarding the incompetence and moral degeneracy of our elites, which has produced a crisis of credibility for our leaders and institutions.

Elizabeth Warren’s once-surging Democratic presidential nomination bid is losing steam. After largely shunning national television interviews, the Massachusetts senator, 70, appeared on Sunday morning news programs and MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show. She also unveiled a scarce endorsement from a former rival for the 2020 Democractic presidential nomination, hosting a rally this week with Julian Castro, 45, in New York. And she bounded into the New Year with campaign trips to Iowa and New Hampshire. But, while she’s built a strong organizing network of paid field staff and volunteers in the states hosting the first two nominating contests, she’s making her final push ahead of the start of the primary season

News organizations intent on framing news events to meet their ideological predispositions should carefully consider the legal fallout from last year’s coverage of the Covington Catholic high school students. It is risky to force news reporting into partisan sociopolitical templates. CNN has agreed to settle a lawsuit filed earlier this year by Nicholas Sandmann, the high school student who became the focal point of news coverage when a Native American demonstrator encountered Sandmann and his classmates in Washington, D.C. That coverage, by CNN and other major news outlets, was extensive and sensational, sending the nation into an unnecessary uproar. Sandmann was originally characterized by journalists as the aggressor

In his address to the nation this morning, Donald Trump asserted that the ballistic missiles that targeted the al-Assad and Erbil bases in Iraq yesterday were paid for using “funds made available by the last administration.” Few things irritate media fact checkers more than Trump’s accusation that Obama helped fund the Iranian regime and its terror apparatus. Probably because it’s completely true. Now, we don’t really know that Obama’s ransom payments to Iran in 2016 subsidized those specific ballistic missiles, but we do know that money is fungible — especially when you have access to small denominations of European cash — and that the military,

What we’re going to do here is take a little bit of a leap in our analysis, but the look of the tea leaves coming out of Tuesday night’s events, your author believes, justifies it. Let’s start not with Iran‘s rather empty missile attack on a pair of military installations in Iraq at which American personnel are stationed, in which 15 missiles were fired and no human casualties were inflicted. Instead, let’s start with that plane. You know about the plane, right? That would be Ukrainian International Airlines Flight 752, which took off from Imam Khomeini Airport in Tehran at 6:12 a.m. local time, accelerated quickly to 275 knots,

But as bad as the IG’s findings were, the details included in last month’s 478-page report suggest worse is coming when U.S. Attorney John Durham concludes his investigation into the Russia collusion hoax. Three aspects of the IG’s report foreshadow the possibility that more revelations of misconduct are yet to come, implicating other parts of the U.S. intelligence community and possibly those of our supposed allies. If you have played poker, you have played against a guy like my friend Woody. Woody talks a big game, makes big bets, relentlessly raises the stakes at all kinds of inappropriate times and usually walks away with the biggest pot at the end of the night. President Trump is like Woody. He would be a nightmare to play poker against. He is always on offense. He is always making a big show of his big bets. When he does fold, he does it so quietly, nobody really notices, because he is on with his next big bet. Predictability used to be the hallmark of America’s international policy. But Trump has changed that equation.
