Did you know that CNN has a reporter on the “disinformation” beat?
I’ll skip the cheap joke about his never having to leave the office, and note that the network is now grousing about the Christian conservative satire site the Babylon Bee, which has earned the ire of a number of liberals for making jokes at their expense.
The story drawing CNN’s outrage — “Democrats Call For Flags To Be Flown At Half-Mast To Grieve Death Of Soleimani” — is good satire. It slightly exaggerates the reaction many on the left have had to the killing of the Iranian mass murderer. Anyone who read the Washington Post’s headline

After this kerfuffle, I checked out the Babylon Bee. Hilarious! It now has one more reader.

The Babylon Bee is the funniest satire going, just brilliant. It's not only conservative, it's Christian. A recent headline: United Methodist Church To Split Over Whether Or Not To Be Christians. (The Methodists just split over same-sex marriage.) That probably irks the left just as much as the satire aimed at them. I posted the headline in question, on the Democrats calling for flags to be flown at half mast, and I did have to tell some of the responders that it was satire. That's because it's so very believable, and, as the article points out, all the funnier for that.

I like the People's Cube, too. Check out Soviet Barbie and Ken in their U.S.S.R. apartment. It's Bernie Sanders' dream for us.

In order for satire to work, there has to be an element of truth to it.
CNN, libs are freaking out because they KNOW it could be sold as truth.

I think they are upset because 'The Bee' hits so close to home. The Hollywood Dems have been so outrageous for so long with their negative talk against the president etc that ordinary people would not be surprised if 'The Bee' article were true. As it goes, 'The Bee' is only a 'slightly' exaggerating.

My favorte is The People's Cube. The comments are often just as hilarious as the articles themselves. The "new" Mona Lisa comment on the Greta Thunburg as "Comrade of the Year" article had me crying I was laughing so hard. And the "Is This Your President?" flowcharts and eye-reading charts are a hoot, too.
The Babylon Bee is my second favorite. Obviously, they are doing something right if they're feeling the ire of humor-challenged Dimmwits!

CNN doesn't like the competition. The Bee does satire, a somewhat obvious fib meant to ridicule and exemplify how silly someone is. CNN lies and staunchly defends its lies as truth, even when the real truth has been shown.
CNN is a news organization. See how easy satire is.

It appears that Brian Stetler, the twitter monitor, is failing in his designated job at CNN. Com'on Man, Brian, do your job.

I just reposted a Bee article in which the Prodigal son is kicked out after old tweets surfaced. Wow. Sounds familiar but has more of an impact for people who read the gospels.
Why is that wrong?

They still just cannot stand having their illogical hypocrisy exposed. They cannot deal with it. Trump has reduced them to defenders of terrorism, and they are not happy. Not that I care about their happy mind you. I find their ire and tantrums most amusing. What I am more irritated about are people on our side like Tucker going off the deep end to the point of calling those of us who applaud Trump's nailing of the general neocons. Does that mean Tucker thinks the Iranian people who are happy about this are neocons too?
No more Benghazis on Trump's watch. That general deserved what he got, if only for the long deserved retaiation regarding the deaths of hundreds of our service people at his direction. Now come to find out, he was plotting with Mexican cartels to bring the 'fun' over here to American soil. Can Tucker and company say they are good with that as well?

FTA: "it was going to edit the interview to make you look like a simpering idiot". That what Mike Wallace (the original old one) did on 60 Minutes for decades. That's why many people refused to be interviewed unless it is live in real time so that it can't be edited to put them in a bad light. One of my favorite programs is Greg Gutfield on Fox who also does satire. If the dims take over expect heavy censorship of You Tube and everything else.

The thing about the Bee is that, hang around there long enough and eventually they will skewer something YOU hold holy. Everyone gets their turn on the hot seat. But when it is the left or progressives that get needled they immediately demonstrate that they have absolutely NO sense of humor. Remember how, for 8 years, it was morally repugnant to make an Obama joke, ANY Obama joke?

I just read a clip that Judge Judy is supporting Mike Bloomberg because she feels America is angrier than she has ever seen. Really? You feel like you can't make this stuff up anymore. Her party has created so much lethargy and sluggishness that we American wage earners and taxpayers have to now start paying for all of this free stuff. We are now finding ways and websites where we can start voicing our opinions and now we are angry?
Hey, Judge Judy, liberals, and Democrats, start brushing off your own doorstep. It needs some brushing off.

Brings back memories.
Ten years ago when I was writing satire for Breitbart, I would occasionally get a comment that read something like this: "I didn't realize it was satire until halfway through. You ought to alert the reader right at the beginning that the column is satire."
I'd scratch my head, thinking, how could anyone not recognize from the get-go that a piece titled, oh, say, "Obama Announces Conversion to Judaism on Shalom TV." was satire? There were enough of this sort of comment that I asked my editor at the time, Michel Walsh, if I post a "Warning: Satire" label at the top of my columns.
He replied, "Absolutely not! If they're too stupid to recognize what you're doing, Screw 'em (although he actually used the f word. Never forgot that. Good satire has to be plausible and over the top at the same time.

They're brilliant. I never thought I'd see any Saturday to rival Iowa Hawk, but Babylon Bee is right up there consistently. I can see why the enemedia and the Democrats are trying to silence them.

The Babylon Bee's most obvious satires are usually closer to the truth than anything CNN ever reports.

I have happy to have two more sites to go to.
But I saw Clint Eastwood's movie, Richard Jewell, today, speaking about not-real journalism. It was so good, and so truthful. Really group-think by a bunch of "journalists". It was a 12:45 p.m. showing and the theater was almost full which makes me think that Americans really believe in being fair.
