America “Cannot Do a Damn Thing,” Eh?

Original Article

Posted By: drive, 1/3/2020 6:41:49 AM

So much for the taunt from Iran’s “supreme leader,” Ayatollah Khamanei, that America “cannot do a damn thing” about Iran’s attack on our embassy in Baghdad. It took President Trump but a day after that jibe to wheel on the Iranians. He launched a drone attack that found and killed the commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, General Qassim Soleimani. It is likely to mark a turning point in the not-so-quasi war that Iran has been levying against us — and, among others, Israel. This is not a situation in which responsibility is being debated on murky evidence.

While fully aware of the potential of further escalating responses by the mad mullahs of Iran, it is past time that they get the message we're not taking any more of their b.s. They've been killing too many Americans and our allies for far too long. Now, they can easily see that further attacks will come at a severe price. Should they unwisely ignore this warning, unleash the full might of our forces on them. Good job, Mr. President.

Mess with the bull and get the horn. The silliest part of this conundrum is that the Democrats appear to be on the side of the enemy. If they had a drone they would probably fire it on the WH, since their silly impeachment isn't getting the job done.

Most of the reaction I have seen to this assumes that if we go to war with Iran we will need to conquer Iran to defeat them, even the Iranian government appears to suffer under this misconception. What they fail to understand is that while the world will be a better place with an Iran with a functioning, peaceful government than without a government it is not at all clear that the world is better off with the current Iranian government than an Iran with no government. The U.S. is perfectly capable of giving the world an Iran with no government and U.S. interests would likely be better served by such an Iran than by the current government.

#15, they used the new “Top Secret” DNA guided missiles that home in on a person’s DNA. Once the USA got a sample of that “top” Iranian General’s DNA he was a dead man walking! There are probably a lot of loudmouth Iranian Generals looking over their shoulders this morning. Those new DNA missiles are so “Top Secret” that the leftist and liberal Congressional Democrats did not have the opportunity to leak the existence of those new missiles to the liberal media.

Remember the hyped-up Republican Guard of Iraq that the U.S. news media was propping up as an elite fighting force that would certainly take out thousands of U.S. troops if we dared enter Iraq in Desert Storm? Remember the footage of these same fierce warriors running to MEET U.S. soldiers in order to be first in line to SURRENDER? I suspect this will be v 2.0 of the very same thing, only with new and improved technologies. I doubt there is much difference between an Iraqi man being forced unwillingly into service and an Iranian one.

PDT has not actually been impeached and this was not a distraction which accomplished nothing in our ongoing war with Islam. This was a dead to rights retaliation for Iranian aggression. New York Times report stating a revered general was killed is laughable. Some Iranians are celebrating along with the Syrian revolutionaries. Israel can breathe a little easier with Solemaini's death as he ordered missile strikes against Israel and supplied the missiles. Yemen is now wondering where support will come from to further their revolution cause. Solemani ordered the taking of ships in the Gulf and capturing the American Navy operating a small boat. Solemani was the director of all terrorist strikes in the middle east and was planning another attack in Irag. His goal was to encourage the Shites to start a revolution in Iraq.

President Trump, Thank You! There is no "avoiding" a war with terrorists. You can capitulate and lose or fight back and, considering our military strength, win. Those such as Iran have been fighting against us for decades. Such precision targeting has got to have all those Iranian terrorist leaders scurrying to keep a low profile. There is a major insurgency in Iran. If we decide to escalate, all we have to do is ask them to send us targets. You can be sure we already know many of them. Yes, some American soldiers will die in such a conflict. If we let Iran continue as they have, American soldiers will die in sneak attacks. Enough. This also shows the desperation of the dems. They are losing so completely that they CANNOT give Trump credit for anything. They MUST attack his every action and in doing so make themselves sound ever more stupid. Rational people KNOW how foolish the dems are being.

The closer we get to the 2020 election, Democratic presidential candidates support more socialist proposals, and the more that we Venezuelan immigrants experience déjà vu. We’re all-too-familiar with the rhetoric Democrats have delivered over the course of their campaigns. All candidates endorse a transition to Medicare-for-All in one form or another, higher taxes on Americans, and a fresh wave of regulations and government-guaranteed “rights.” And just recently, Elizabeth Warren seemed to endorse government-provided housing. These are the kinds of measures they hope will bring about a paradise similar to the Left’s beloved Nordic countries.

Qassem Soleimani’s demise came as his life project — spreading the Islamic Republic’s zeal in the Mideast and beyond — was crumbling. That doesn’t mean the Iranian general couldn’t, or wouldn’t, have wreaked the kind of harm that the Trump administration felt it needed to preempt. It may even explain why Soleimani has been on such a manic campaign. In any event, shortly after the drone kill at Baghdad airport was confirmed, Secretary of State Pompeo re-tweeted a video of gleeful Iraqis who had awakened at at 4:30 a.m. in Baghdad

The economy thrives on stability, and Democrats controlling the House brought a degree of that – none of their crazy ideas were going anywhere, thankfully, so the economy is safe…for now. The economic boom and historically low unemployment allowed everyone to focus on other things, and to go crazy over them.

The editor-in-chief of Christianity Today, Mark Galli, wrote an editorial calling for the impeachment of President Donald Trump. In my view, this editorial only serves to confirm one of the sadder realizations of my life: that religious conviction guarantees neither moral clarity nor common sense. The gist of the editorial -- and of most religious and conservative opposition to President Trump -- is that any good the president has done is dwarfed by his character defects. This is an amoral view that says more about Galli than it does about the president.

He either believed Trump was weakened by his impeachment, as western liberal Media breathlessly and continuously reported, or he might have been misled by John Kerry’s incompetent advice (apparently Kerry met again with Khamenei’s emissaries in Paris just few weeks ago). Whatever the reasons, his goal of triggering a limited war with America to rally his people around the regime has failed miserably. Iran desperately wanted a war -- drone attacks on Saudi Arabia’s heart of oil production, false-flag hits on oil tankers, unrest in Yemen – all aimed at this goal.

Mohamed Omar Ali, a 59-year-old Somali national, was arrested Friday on charges of sexual assault of a child and sexual indecency of a child after an investigation was launched in September, Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls told reporters at a press conference Monday. Nehls described Ali as a popular “religious leader” and spent time at several mosques in Fort Bend County, as well as in greater Houston. Investigators believe Ali also victimized other children dating back to 2013 after he arrived in the US.

The U.S. Air Force has performed a huge show of strength by launching 52 fully-armed Lightning II stealth fighters in a single wave from a base in Utah. The F-35A aircraft, which are worth a total of $4.2 billion, took off in quick succession from the Hill Air Force Base in Utah on Monday as tensions mount in the Middle East over the killing of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani. Fifty two is the number of American diplomats and civilians seized by Iran during the 1979 hostage crisis, and the number of targets that Trump has threatened to strike in Iran if the regime retaliates over Soleimani's death.

Pundits wrote off Sen. Bernie Sanders’s campaign back in October after his heart attack evoked the risks of nominating a candidate who would turn 80 during the first year of his presidency. But since then, Sanders has made a remarkable comeback — and not just in terms of his health. Having climbed to second place nationally and raised a whopping $34.5 million in the fourth quarter, he now finds himself leading in New Hampshire and tied for first place in Iowa, according to the latest CBS/YouGov poll. Perhaps Joe Biden, who enjoys much stronger support among black voters, is still in a better position to win the Democratic nomination.
