PALM BEACH, Fla. — At the White House, people who want to meet with Donald Trump have to deal with schedulers, scores of aides hovering around the president and a strict security protocol.
At Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s luxury South Florida resort where he typically spends Christmas and New Year’s Eve, the president is just another guy in the buffet line.

Politico doesn’t understand that this is Mar-a-Lago's (the private club) New Year’s Eve party for its members. They would have this party, for which I imagine they pay a hefty price per head, whether Donald J. Trump - President or private citizen - was there.
Private clubs of all kinds - country clubs, yacht clubs, whatever - have NYE parties. Politico’s schlub writers wouldn’t know as they don’t move in those circles - and if they did, they’d lie about that, too…
This is just another snarkicle ...

Keep in mind while reading this Politico hit piece that the same media was drooling over Obama splashing in the surf on his “much deserved” time off.
Bottom line: sophomoric criticism like this is ALL THEY'VE GOT!

President Trump is a charismatic leader whether in public or a private setting...In other words he is a stud who doesn't need the trappings of the Swamp to make him look cool

This same media complained last week that Trump failed to hold parties for them at the WH!! Poor lying media can’t live Trump or Live without him either.

I have yet to read anything from Politico that was worth the time invested. My assumption that everyone connected to it is a liar is always proven correct.

How nice it is to read that our POTUS can really relax down in Florida at Mar-A-Lago. Also, I did notice that our president and his family attended Christmas services while there. This is a far cry from the globe trotting Obamas who escaped from the continental USA over Christmas time and only twice, as I remember, went to a church service during the Christmas vacation.

The comments after that article are super toxic and full of hate. Seem like they're coordinated to create a false impression that nobody likes Trump except for the rich folks at Mar-a-Lago. So nice that Trump had created jobs for all the trolls out there.

“He doesn’t like being criticized or challenged.” Do you know anybody who likes being criticized or challenged? Let me know, please!

Yeah. Trump has done a pretty decent job of getting rid of the riff-raff that may have hung out at Mar-a-Lago.
He kicked out pervert Epstein when the sleazebag started hitting on the help and other underage girls at the club. Which gave Epstein more time to take Bill Clinton to pedophile island, I guess.
And if people quit the club because Trump was elected, well, that's their loss, not mine (or Trump's).
I thought it was good when the President got out among the people and away from the Washington swamp. Silly me.

Thank you OP. This article written for those Daily Mail writers who call the Trump’s “earned with hard work” fabulous wealth horrific yet fawn like 16th century peasants at the ostentatious wealth of monarchy enjoyed merely because of birth.

Addendum to #13. I am aware this is not a Daily Mail article posted but they did the same coverage of this yearly party.

While it would be awesome arranging for my boys to meet the President I'm also a realist who knows the chances of that happening are somewhat slim - and I'm OK with that. Back in the late 1980s my wife worked on real estate contracts with Trump off and on for 13 years. We don't look at that as anything special - it was work experience for my wife, then a Jr law associate. As toxic as the current political climate is - Heaven forbid if anything were to happen to the President I wouldn't want to be in the crowd anywhere nearby. It would be fantastic meeting him in the secure environment of the Oval Office, but I'm content knowing he's doing the best job of any President in my lifetime. Of course if President Trump insisted on having my family over at Mar-A-Lago for the weekend - who am I to say no?

This is a perfect example of the kind of manipulation the media engages in using perception management techniques, starting with the photo of tacky-looking rich people gawking like a cult following. The article paints a picture of the President as if he thinks he can circumvent proper protocols and screening so controversial people can get easy access to him and he can feel free to wheel and deal as he likes. Nearly every sentence was carefully crafted to make the President look like the worst kind of criminal power abuser. The writer makes sure all the people associated with him are shown as controversial or being investigated for wrongdoing. And the author portrays Trump as someone who has to be surrounded only by "yes-men" and true-believing disciples. He also makes sure to say Giuliani was trying to dig up "dirt" on Biden, "his 2020 political rival", which is a total mischaracterization of the situation and makes it look like the impeachment had merit. It's disgusting. Sadly, most people won't realize they are being completely manipulated by the author. I wanted to highlight several points in the article because I think it's important for all if us to expose the media's sleazy, underhanded tactics. We all need to show others how they are being manipulated, and how their opinions are being influenced.
