I am all for tackling environmental problems we know exist and can do something about: cleaning up the air, protecting the oceans and waterways from pollution and debris, preventing forest fires by clearing the underbrush, planning water resources for future populations, enforcing hunting and fishing laws so the animals and fish can reproduce and replenish. But, it's a waste of time and money and effort to go after a situation we can't describe, can't analyze, can't enforce globally and can't prove its existence. Shut up, Greta. Al and Alexandria.

I have found during my heavy load of miscellaneous reading that modern witchcraft has a remarkably similar view to the evils of Global Warming and many of the activists are proclaimed witches. Their magic rituals involve deep interaction with the earth and its chemicals and they are worried that our abuse of the Climate is affecting their various religions. This Bradbrook woman fits the mold. It sounds like she chose one of those degrees that does not provide gainful employment and decided to enter the activist/agitation field. With drugs like she was taking, flying on a broomstick must have seemed like an amateur way of transportation.

Imagine being in a tribe on an island with an active volcano. There is a cadre of priests who claim exclusive access to the volcano god. They control the tribe by explaining that certain behaviors will anger the god and cause agonizing death and destruction. The chief witch doctor proclaimed "The volcano god came to me in a dream and told me that, if you don't stop your cows from farting, you will be destroyed in my fiery wrath!"

She went seeking what was missing by taking psychedelic drugs. I suspect this came after someone had given her the advice a great teacher gave someone else who was looking for what was missing: "go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” As most of you already know, that teacher was Jesus. While I believe that He calls everyone to come follow Him, I do not believe He calls all of us to sell our possessions (although I am not sure of that). However, for those who have tried everything and still feel like something is missing, here is the answer.

Dems’ Real Impeachment Goal:

Why would House Democrats put forward articles of impeachment that are laughably weak and have no chance of removing President Donald Trump from office? Most of the speculation has been that the impeachment will nevertheless hurt Trump’s reelection chances. There’s another possibility that’s even more insidious. Democratic Party leaders can’t possibly be unaware of the fact that their impeachment case has no merit. Despite the endless talk of bribery, extortion, campaign finance violations and other supposed crimes Trump has committed, not one of the articles of impeachment accuses Trump of breaking any of those laws, or any federal law for that matter.

The United Nations’ 25th Conference Of The Parties climate summit ended Sunday with participants unable to agree on what are the media are calling “key” emissions targets. Some participants are blaming America’s absence for the failure. The more sober-minded, though, are grateful President Donald Trump has no time for the global warming nonsense. Even with the canonized Greta Thunberg threatening to put the world’s national leaders “against the wall” if they don’t “do their job and to protect our futures,” the principals could work out nothing more than, according to the all-in-on-the-global-warming-hysterics Guardian, “a partial agreement

When you’re trying to sell socialism to the American people, it’s inevitable that you’ll paint yourself into some kind of corner. Top-tier Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren, who’s got a good chance of securing the nomination, now finds herself stuck in a pretty embarrassing one. She and Pete Buttigieg in recent days have been playing a tit-for-tat game of who benefited from capitalism more, the youthful South Bend mayor with his lucrative gig at management consulting firm McKinsey & Co., or Warren making nearly $2 million for a string of clients as a corporate lawyer. Warren felt compelled to provide the details and the fees she received, and it must

The Washington Post editorial Wednesday on the House Intelligence Committee’s impeachment report gave the game away. “The Democratic report lacks direct testimony of Mr. Trump confirming the quid pro quo … It also acknowledges ‘unanswered questions’” – and “the speedy referral” of the impeachment inquiry from the intelligence panel to the House Judiciary Committee “smacks of political expediency.” Intel panel chairman Adam Schiff was urged to do some more digging so the committee can “provide a fuller and, to many Americans, more persuasive picture of his guilt,” the Post’s editorial board said under the title, “There’s more to learn” – perhaps the Freudian slip of the year.

Amid falling support for impeachment and worries that it will backfire against Democrats, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff released a 300-page report he says proves that President Donald Trump committed high crimes and misdemeanors worthy of removing him from office. And if you read only the summary, you might think they’ve got the goods. The House impeachment report claims to have “uncovered a months-long effort by President Trump to use the powers of his office to solicit foreign interference on his behalf in the 2020 election.” (You can read the report here.) It says that the “scheme subverted U.S. foreign policy toward Ukraine and

The drop in support for impeachment in the polls is increasing pressure on Democrats to strike a deal on the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). House Democrats have been eager to prove that impeachment is not getting in the way of legislative progress, a point Republicans have repeatedly pressed. For months, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has insisted that House Democrats were working to get consensus on President Trump’s signature trade deal, which would update the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). She has also been adamant that impeachment would not affect USMCA talks, or vice versa, and that the tracks are totally separate.

The political left has long tried to hide its true intentions and character through the use of euphemisms. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has learned to play the game as well as anyone. She has demanded that taxpayer-funded handouts be considered “public goods.” It’s a convenient justification for taking the property of productive Americans and giving it to those who have more political favor. “People like to say, ‘Oh, this is about free stuff,'” the New York Democrat said at a Bronx town hall meeting over the weekend, before Thanksgiving. But “this is not about free stuff,” she said. “These are public goods. They’re public goods.

Remember when President Barack Obama was running around telling everyone how he’d convinced China to get serious about cutting its carbon dioxide emissions? A new report shows that Obama was easily duped. Over the course of three years, Obama met with Chinese President Xi Jinping to, he said, agree to “climate targets” (in 2014), “lay out additional actions” (in 2015), and sign the Paris Agreement (2016). In typical Obama understatement, he declared that “we may see this as the moment that we finally decided to save our planet.” Of course, anyone who looked at what China was promising could see that it was a sucker’s bet.

Trump’s approval rating is tied with what President Barack Obama’s was at the same point in his first term. And the economy keeps chugging along. Wasn’t Trump supposed to be packing his bags by now? Start with the impeachment polls. Whatever hopes Democrats had of removing Trump from office, or even significantly damaging his reelection hopes, appear to be fading – a fact even the mainstream media is having to admit. The impeachment circus has begun – and President Trump must take advantage of a unique opportunity to seize the center ring. Not another wave of off-the-wall tweets. Not another raucous, ranting rally. Rather, the most powerful public relations tool of his office: the nationally televised presidential address. No other platform packs the punch of a speech from behind the Resolute Desk. The Oval Office setting would underscore Trump’s role as chief executive, commander in chief and head of state, against whom a highly politicized impeachment should not be undertaken cavalierly. It separates the gravity of the office from

"Well, great parallels," said Ronstadt. "There were a lot of chances. Hitler rose to power; there were a lot of chances to stop him, and they didn't speak out. And the industrial complex thought they could control him once they got him in office. And of course, he was not controllable."

Around eighty-four counties and cities throughout the Commonwealth have pledged to ignore and resist these measures. Some Virginia elected officials have called for the National Guard to carry out such confiscation, which would imply the arrest and disarmament of local officials who get in the way. Governor Northam has stopped short of adopting such an idea, but he will not rule it out.
