Scientists want us to eat bugs. Eating actual meat, from delicious cows and chickens and pigs and whatnot, is supposedly killing the planet. Instead, we should be eating wormburgers and maggot-dogs and cricket tacos. That's literally what the eggheads want. They say it's the only way we'll keep everybody from dying of global warming. Every other day there's another "news" story encouraging us all to eat filthy insects, like the mud-caked peasants they think we are. So let's say you do what your moral, ethical, and intellectual betters tell you to do. You stop eating meat.

The goal of the left really seems to be to keep the stupid people stirred up. It doesn't matter what about. When people get tired of one panic, they introduce another even more ridiculous one. And it works every time.

One problem with eating insects, we will be in competition with the birds for them and many species of birds will die out. Or maybe we will die out because birds are better equipped to catch them. You just can't win.

FTA: "as raconteur Jesse Kelly puts it: "The entire climate change platform is, 'If you're evil enough to be alive, at least have the decency to be miserable.'" That about sums up the Demonrat party. No wonder they are so unhinged; too much livin' goin' on out there! It must be stopped. Funny thing is, they aren't stepping up to the challenge and *demise-ing* themselves - for the good of Gaia, you know.

But this doesn’t apply to the Democrats because they are not only too dumb to listen to your warnings but their weird dogma actually makes it impossible for them to imagine that they are heading for disaster in 2020. Stories are freighted with an inherent power to influence, persuade, even form perceptions from whole cloth among those who hear them. Were it not so, Hollywood would be just another town. It is that raw power that has taught us to exercise extreme caution when we hear stories claimed to be faithful retellings of provable facts. For that reason, we raise the bar when the story involves the alleged commission of a crime. We set and maintain a high standard for evidence of the accusation throughout legal proceedings

Real Clear Politics, a non-partisan (and indispensable) site that tracks countless polls and averages them, also tracks the job approval numbers for President Trump and former (thank heaven) President Obama in a way that allows us to see how the two presidents compare on this same day during their respective presidencies. On the very same day the deranged media and demented Democrats announced two articles of impeachment against Trump, his average job approval rating is higher than Obama’s was on this same day during his first (failed) term as president. On this same day during his (failed) presidency, Obama averaged just a 43.5 approval rating.

What's more, not only is Trump President, there's still a chain of command and he's still the top of it. Oh, and the Secretary of Defense is senior to the Secretary of the Navy in the chain of command. This seems to be a point of confusion among many. Historically, people should recall — except, apparently history isn't a big topic in schools these days — that during the Korean War, General of the Army Douglas MacArthur commented to the press that Truman's restrictions on operations beyond the Yalu River, and thus beyond North Korea and in Mao's China, were "an enormous handicap, unprecedented in military history."

Last week in his now-classic style of quips to the media President Trump said, “I caught the Swamp.” To the tens of millions of Americans who elected him, Trump is telling them he’s fulfilling yet another campaign promise. But this one is something perhaps (if not certainly) no other president could claim. It’s not just the Swamp that Trump caught -- it’s actually America’s biggest lawbreaker. Three years into the Obama administration, while America was under the throes of being “transformed” into post-constitutional socialism, we wrote a Thomas Paine-style pamphlet, or e-book, entitled The Law That Governs Government: Reclaiming the Constitution from Usurpers and Society’s Biggest Lawbreaker.

The Democrats are furiously busy with preemptive damage control of the ongoing investigation by U.S. Attorney John Durham. As well they should. This and other investigations of the origins of alleged Russian electoral interference has morphed into a criminal probe that likely will implicate members of the Obama administration’s FBI, DOJ, and CIA, and tear off the veil of misdirection that the Democrats and their lackeys in the media have draped over the dirty tricks they employed during the 2016 campaign and Trump’s first years in office. If this happens, the Democrats’ equally dicey attempts to impeach the president will crumble.

As Lee Smith details extremely well in his new book The Plot Against the President, since the election of Donald Trump, the American public has been subject to a non-stop barrage of leaked news, almost all of it completely inaccurate or so far out of context that it might as well be. In the years leading up to the Mueller report, we were told by a myriad of media outlets and supposedly well-informed politicians that evidence of Trump-Russia collusion was imminent. It never appeared, although journalists from the Washington Post and the New York Times won Pulitzers for proclaiming that very thing based on sources that were—what else—anonymous.

David Ignatius must be kidding: Who might deliver us from this national train wreck? Who could restore a sense of balance to the Senate trial so that, whatever its outcome, it doesn’t feed Trump’s false narrative of victimization and populist rage? There’s one obvious answer: Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee and custodian of what remains of his party’s moral and political balance. Counting on Mitt Romney for political courage and moral leadership is always a bad bet. Romney has a very safe seat in Utah, so in theory he could afford to take risks, but taking political risks is exactly what Romney never does.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s decision not to send the articles of impeachment to the Senate for trial on the pretext that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell won’t conduct the trial in a manner approved by House Democrats introduces a novel and dangerous dynamic to the impeachment of President Trump—namely, a constitutional crisis, not between the legislative and executive branches, but between the House and the Senate. Under the Constitution, the House has the sole power of impeachment and the Senate has the sole power of conducting a trial. Although the Constitution doesn’t say the House must go through a formal process of “transmitting” the articles of impeachment to the Senate,

The House of Representatives impeached President Bill Clinton on Dec. 19, 1998. It was a Saturday. The votes, in which two articles of impeachment passed, were held around midday. By 3 p.m., the House had passed a resolution naming its impeachment managers, and those managers had physically delivered the articles to the Senate for trial. Impeachment was on. The House, controlled by a Republican majority, was serious about its ultimately failed effort to remove Clinton from office. Contrast that to today. On Wednesday, Dec. 18, at around 8 p.m., the Democratic-controlled House passed two articles of impeachment against President Trump. Speaker Nancy Pelosi immediately announced that the House would not appoint managers,
