No one was ready to jump to any conclusions yesterday but the gap between what we suppose and what we know is getting a lot smaller. The AP reports that shooter Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani held a party to watch mass shooting videos earlier this week. Other Saudi pilot trainees were at the party: The Saudi student who fatally shot three people at a U.S. naval base in Florida hosted a dinner party earlier in the week where he and three others watched videos of mass shootings, a U.S. official told The Associated Press on

Comments:

If anyone has a clue as to Alshamrani's motive, contact the Pentagon. They're wringing their hands trying to explain why this happened.

It sounds as though he was another who was recruited and trained - perhaps via the internet. How else would he have videos of mass shootings?

"rant about America as an evil place which oppresses Muslims." If you mental midgets don't like the oppression, either leave or take a dirt nap and take Ilhan Omar with you. You should never have been allowed to come here in the first place since you obviously hate and intend to harm America.

If any President since Teddy Roosevelt had the brass to make this evil maniac an example, it might be President Trump. Please Mr. President announce that this killer will be buried with his arms wrapped around a pig, as will any future islamic coward killers. The shock waves will be huge, but moron killers will think a lot harder about the glory of spending eternity in hell with a pig vs a bunch of virgins. BTW, feminists doesn't that main plank of the islam get your goat? I mean it shows their priorities. Unless you think the virgins mentioned are boys. That does make sense considering the creatures involved and their proven history for the past 7 centuries.

Technically, dying while committing a crime does not make you a martyr. And get your facts straight. You receive the manhood of 100, thus you need 72 houris and 28 boys. Allah is most gracious toward those who die in jihad. Their afterlife may not meet their expectations. Too late. And there is no appeal.

At my pilot training base, we didn't have any students from Saudi Arabia, as far as I know. Most of the foreign students were from Pakistan & were pretty weird, especially toward women. I was stationed there for 3 years, including my 55 weeks of UPT and believe all the Pakistanis did graduate. However, we also had some students there from someplace in Africa (I think Ethiopia??). One of them who "graduated" did so without ever flying solo. He could not be trusted to pay attention to the airspeed indicator. But, since his home country was paying the bill & probably not wanting to create an international problem, he went thru every "lesson", but without flying solo on those for which that was required. The rumor was that he was sent back home with the provision that he always would be a co-pilot and never a pilot in command. Gotta save face & all that. Our world has always been strange.

When the Saudi military personnel who hung out with the dead Islamist terrorist, and who did not bring his Islamist terror related proclivities to the attention of the Saudi Commander at Pensacola, return to Saudi Arabia they will most probably be essentially dead men walking, because the perpetration of terrorist activities in the USA by Saudi military personnel are certainly not in the national interests of Saudi Arabia. QRemember those Saudis are commissioned officers in the Saudi military and as such are representatives of the Saudi Government and nation while they are in the USA at the invitation of the US Government. That makes the Saudi Government liable and responsible for all their criminal or terrorist activities while they are in the USA.

New Jersey is moving quickly to extend driver’s licenses to immigrants without legal status and others who lack paperwork. After years of pressure from immigrants and their advocates, lawmakers Monday heard testimony on a bill that could get final votes next week. Gov. Phil Murphy has said he supports the measure. The hearing before the Assembly Judiciary Committee included testimony from undocumented immigrants and advocates who said the bill is about creating safer roads and getting more drivers to get insurance. “What is important to note is that not only is this a policy that will have a great positive impact for our whole state, but it will also

Several Saudi nationals who had contact with the gunman who killed three at a Naval base in Florida are still unaccounted for, according to authorities. Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani, a 21-year-old Saudi national training at Navy Air Station in Pensacola, killed three and wounded seven during a shooting rampage that is now presumed to be a terrorist attack. Authorities announced that Alshamrani had visited New York prior to carrying out the attack and had held a dinner party where he showed footage of similar shootings. The FBI was already questioning six Saudi nationals who were connected to Alshamrani after two were caught filming the attack.

The New York Times editorial board is asking the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) to toss out a challenge against New York City gun control rather than rule against the controls at the center of the challenge. Breitbart News reported that SCOTUS was hearing a challenge to the NYC gun control on Monday, December 1, 2019. The gun control prohibited licensed firearm owners from transporting their firearms to all but seven city-approved gun ranges. On December 2, 2019, the NYT editorial board begged SCOTUS to discard the case, pointing to the fact that NYC repealed their gun control when it became evident that SCOTUS would take the case.

When we learned on Thursday that former Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh had been charged on a variety of corruption and tax evasion charges, I pondered what sort of defense her legal team planned to put up. After all, the self-dealing transactions uncovered by the Baltimore Sun were such obvious examples of grifting that it should have been a no-brainer for prosecutors to go after her. But Pugh had insisted from the beginning that nothing illegal had gone on and she had paid her taxes. Well, so much for that. Barely 24 hours later, the news broke that the disgraced former mayor had pleaded guilty to four of the original eleven

The commander-in-chief ought to fire Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who serves on the National Security Council, for rank insubordination. That is the key takeaway from Tuesday’s hearings in the Democratic impeachment push. Vindman, unlike other Democratic “star witnesses,” was at least on the July 25 phone call between President Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, that set off the inquiry. But Vindman was unreliable and had questionable judgment, according to his own outgoing superior, Tim Morrison, the National Security Council’s senior director for European affairs.

Radical social justice activists will serve as the top prosecutors for three major Washington, D.C., suburbs — including the two wealthiest counties in the U.S. — after George Soros’s political action committee poured $2.1 million into ordinarily sleepy local races. In Virginia’s Fairfax and Arlington counties, the “reformer” attorneys ran on platforms far to the left of the Democratic incumbents, beating them in primary races before ultimately winning the general elections. In both cases, the incumbents expressed concern for public safety if the Soros-backed candidates took control. They also said that the activists were pushing a national platform about racism and over-incarceration that had no basis in reality

The South Carolina Senator went on Maria Bartiromo’s Fox News show, Sunday Morning Futures, to throw a wet blanket on conservatives’ dreams of a Senate trial that would get to the bottom of the plot against President Trump. Many Americans remain nonplussed over revelations in the House Intelligence Committee’s Impeachment Inquiry Report that its chairman, Adam Schiff, not only secretly subpoenaed telephone records from President Trump’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani, but also obtained responses that detailed dates and lengths of phone calls to Trump attorney Jay Sekulow, ranking committee member Devin Nunes, and Hill reporter John Solomon. That Schiff self-disclosed this action as a rightful part of his committee’s information gathering is equally stunning. Every bit as bad, it appears that national telephone carriers AT&T and Verizon, who so tout their corporate concerns about subscriber privacy, responded to such obviously politicized demands without a whimper.

Pensacola, FL - The Saudi gunman who killed three people at the Pensacola naval base had apparently gone on Twitter shortly before the shooting to blast US support of Israel and accuse America of being anti-Muslim, a US official said Sunday as the FBI confirmed it is operating on the assumption the attack was an act of terrorism. Alshamrani, who was killed in the attack at a classroom building Friday, was undergoing flight training at Pensacola, where members of foreign militaries routinely receive instruction.

One idea that’s now being floated is to change the building codes so that all new structures (including private property, not just government buildings) include spaces for people to “rest” and “feel welcome and safe.” This understandably has prospective property owners concerned, since the wording is all quite vague and suggests that they will be forced to allow the homeless to camp in and around their buildings.
