Joe Biden is 77 and ought to actually remember when President Harry S. Truman popularized: "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."
His wretched performance in an encounter with an Iowa voter who challenged him, melting down and flying off the handle, tells voters he never absorbed that political lesson. Either he's either stupid or he has trouble remembering things. (snip) The former vice president is obviously having problems with handling challenges, something any experienced pol can do with ease

What comes to mind is the very public decimation of Robert Mueller. He went into the House hearings as a reputable, distinguished, and experienced figure and left as a doddering fool. Was Mueller always so incomplete a person? It's doubtful. Sometime as he reached 75 he slowed down and lost focus. It happens to all of us eventually. What is sad is how he was used, as a figurehead. The people who chose and worked with him had to KNOW he was not up to the task, an embarrassment. Yet they used him.
Biden is being used. They are propping him up to fill their needs. But a presidential campaign is a powerful microscope and Biden's flaws are being exposed. He never appeared to be a brain trust but did OK years ago. Now, not so much. He reminds me of elderly people I have know that start to decline and make "mistakes". They learn to hide it because they are worried their freedom to act independantly will be compromised. Biden seems to be on that path. Those who love him should have told him NOT to run.
Biden should not be president so it's good that he is falling apart so that he is unelectable. But it's sad that he was lead to a position where it is happening so publically and embarrassingly.
So, who gets his poll points, Bloomberg? Is is time for Hillary to be begged to be coronated?

Reminds me of the time Tulsi Gabbard sliced and diced Kamala Harris. Bested by an 85 year old never looks good.

Even a young Biden stood out as a vainglorious fool. A tough talker who took the coward's way out every time. Someone who embellished a story when the truth would be more powerful and interesting anyway. The guy at work who wanted to talk about the football game when you know he only saw the score in the paper.
Through the magic Democrat/Media prism this obnoxious scenery-chewer became a folksy, homespun, plain-spoken train-riding Blue Collar Joe - despite working in government since age 29 (!).
Was he rude in Iowa? Hypersensitive? Trying to deploy a smokescreen at any cost? Yes to all of these.
But it wasn't out of character for Biden. He's always been a jerk.

I'm looking forward to someone actually accepting the push-up and IQ test challenges, man. Biden has never been "good ol' UncleJoe". That's the sham persona the media has been foisting on us.

Anyone who was around during the Justice Thomas hearings has known for decades that Biden is a mean, nasty, arrogant snake.
Monica is right - he’s a bully too. How many times has he threatened or talked about threatening people? He wants to “take so and so out behind the gym or out in the parking lot”, he wants to beat up someone with a chain, he wants to fire a shot gun from his porch. And like all bullies, he would never have the guts to actually do it. It’s all nothing more than self-aggrandizing bluster and everyone knows it. No wonder his son is a mess.
He also comes across as completely deranged, unable to control himself and finally - he doth protest WAY too much.

Please forgive second post but it ought to be mentioned so that no one forgets - Biden has had at least two aneurysms and brain surgeries. He has had the equivalent of a partial lobotomy. An acquaintance who is a neuro surgeon told a member of my family that the part of his brain which was damaged is the part which controls social filters - it’s why Biden makes so many gaffes and loses control. That’s not something we need in the Oval Office - just imagine him dealing with Russia, China, Iran, etc.

We all know this and it just proves , once again, that Joe Biden is not and was not EVER considered ' Donald Trump's political foe'. There was a time when I really looked forward to seeing just the two of them on stage but I always knew it wasn't going to be-thus depriving us so much great entertainment. I'm not upset as I can still look forward to Little Mikey going eye to tie with our great president.

There used to be a time when calling a man a "damn liar" would get you shot. At least a man knew he had better be a faster draw with a gun before calling a man a liar. Joe's little tirade tells me he has not been around many men of quality, or he would know better than to spout off like that. I guess Yes-men and suck-ups let you get away with calling them liars. Most places, them's fightin' words.

Biden personifies the arrogant smugness that has taken over Washington. His behavior toward this farmer mirrors how all liberals feel about all of us. We are standing in the way of their divine right to rule. Trump’s patriotism and compassion for America and Americans is authentic. Because of that reason alone he would decimate Biden.

He is part of the corrupt dem machine. How does Pelosi have 125millions? He got caught funneling money through his crackhead son. I hope the senate has the balls to expose him. I have my doubts as they all protect each other. They are all corrupt!

Joe reveals his juvenile mind. He challenges a voter with a pushup contest, then wants to take Trump behind the barn and wallop him. Really mature, Mr. Biden! Not exceptional for a 77 year old!

Once again, Joe has highlighted the fact for all to see that he is a weakling and unbalanced. He's not just a coward but mean. Someday someone will accept his challenge to do push-ups, run a mile or to take the ever requested I.Q. test and old Joe will need to back down and claim he was joking.
If he's the nominee, Trump will open him up like a dried peanut shell.

Talk about someone who you don't want to have his hands on the 'nuclear football' and the key to unlock the red button.
I agree Smoking Slow Joe is loosing it or maybe he never had it. The idiot has all the makings of a braggart liar I'm old too and have watched this buffoon for decades and he's always been this way. The push up and IQ challenge are right up there with the sicko 'hairy leg' story. Biden is a buffoon and a braggart.

Can you imagine Joe Biden in his current confused state conducting complicated future negotiations with foreign leaders, some of them representing countries that follow policies that are very adverse to US interests and national security?
At the moment, based upon Biden’s obvious past involvement in politically based nepotistic corruption involving his son, while Biden was former President Obama’s point man in doling out US foreign aid monies to Ukraine, and US relations with China, a person would not be out of line to wonder who Biden would be representing first and foremost, the USA, or his son and other family members and political acquaintances, with the intention to get them essentially no work jobs in foreign countries at very high rates of pay, some of which may well be laundered US foreign aid monies?
From what is going on with the Congressional Democrats these days, you can be sure that those Democrats would turn a blind eye anytime such politically based corruption is perpetrated by Democrat politicians and operatives.

Three editorial points here -
First, Biden's father is deceased, so doesn't the Jr. disappear from Biden's name?
Second, Harry Truman had no middle name, just the initial S, so there should not be a period after the S. (This was debated when I was a lad, and Harry Truman was president.)(I paid particular attention to the debate, because I have had to go through life lacking a middle name. My parents could not agree on one, argued about it, and I believe my mother skipped my baptism because of the disagreement.).
Third, decimation means reduced by 1/10th. Caligula did that each year to his army - he killed 1/10 of his soldiers.. Robert Welch decimated his management corps each year at GE, firing the bottom 1/10th, based on performance evaluations.. Welch bragged about that, but he should not have.
As for Old Jo, he is, and always has been a bully of the worst sort - a situational bully, like a hall monitor. Those types are punks and cowards.

The bottom line is that Biden is a perennial joke who used to draw about 1% of the vote. In the current democrat clown car he has the driver's seat. This says nothing about Biden, but a great deal about his competitors.

So creepy when Joe turns and menacingly approaches the gentleman. Then calls him "fat." This was a look into Joe's soul, and it was not pretty. Moments like this show more than a dozen carefully-crafted speeches.

Joe has always been meaner than a snake, and a not-too-bright bully. A thoroughly despicable man, and now, with some of his brain filters literally excised, his nastiness is more apparent, more often.
It is good to know that at least one other person know what 'decimated' actually means.
And having worked in a company which stupidly bought into nasty Jack Welch's worthless management methods which seriously harmed GE, I can verify that this approach is counterproductive.
I actually asked a VP in our company "What you do once you have "cut all the dead wood" and have ALL employees with legitimate A or B ratings? Your system doesn't allow for the possibility that it could succeed, and stop getting rid of GOOD people." When you are firing people who are 85% as good as is possible to be because of "poor performance", that is good management? Insanity, and it really hurts loyalty to a company.

He should have listened to Obama, who (whatever else we have said, can say or will say about him) has a shrewd political instinct. If the accounts I've read are correct he knew a Biden candidacy would be a flame-out and gently tried to dissuade his former suit coat holder from running. Oh, well. I for one can't wait for Biden's
"suspending my campaign" speech.

Where is the press to point out that the farmer was not lying?
1. Biden was made "point man" on Ukraine by the Obongo administration. (Where is the Secretary of State?)
2. Biden son with no experience in Ukraine or the Energy field is hired onto board of directors of Ukrainian Energy company being paid $83K per month.
3. Biden threatens Ukrainian governement by withholding US loan guarantees if they do not fire a Prosecutor who his investigating his son's company.
4. Biden is recorded bragging to his CFR buddies about his success at using taxpayer sponsored aid money as a leverage to have the Ukranian government offical fired.
These are incontrovertible facts.
Apart from this his treatment of this elderly man is abominable. It shows Biden to be a mean and arrogant and a good example of a wealthy elitist politician punching-down on one of the lowly peons. How dare that mere farmer question and confront his social better? Why, he's even fat (push up contest) and stupid ( IQ contest).
