Damaging photos of Pete Buttigieg have surfaced — ringing a bell for the Salvation Army. The images of the South Bend mayor and Democratic presidential candidate participating in the Red Kettle Ring Off, a friendly competition between officials from South Bend and near-by Mishawaka over who can raise more for the Salvation Army during a day of bell-ringing, date from 2017. The gay publication Out reported them as if it had broken a major, or at least a noteworthy, story.

Lowry mentions wokeness 'cutting a swath' through culture. It's an interesting a metaphor that should be used more often - because it captures the left's structure and tactics. The scythe blade are the visible radicals - trans, LGB, Muslims, open borders types. They claim that anti-discrimination laws are necessary, righteous and effective. They're victims so you can't oppose them or criticize them. On and on. But the scythe handle is gripped firmly, as usual, by a small, cynical cadre of hardcore leftists in their unending quest to destabilize society and increase the state's power - and their own. We and I grow tired of mentioning George Soros and even the Koch brothers (now just one brother) but their money has been used to sow the kind of division and animosity that Satan himself would need a long training camp to achieve. The result is wine moms who think that maybe it actually is a good idea for Jack to shower with the Jills after PE class. Madness and conflict.

I have no use for the little gay mayor with his perverted sexual orientation, but will applaud him for his ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. He couldn't have taken the oath in good faith, but he's a polititian, so lying is OK in his view. And just like the black population always voting for the black candidate, the lgbtqwxyz bunch will vote for the pervert!

It seems that being "Woke" means going around looking for anything to take offense at as an excuse to throw a hate filled temper tantrum about. The Salvation Army does the best they can to prevent those sheltering in their facilities from doing harm to each other. Putting a person of one physical gender in a facility for the other gender is asking for problems. And, providing special facilities for those that "identify" as something other than male or female is beyond the financial capabilities of the Salvation Army. The "OUT" answer is to make matters worse by working to cut off the limited funds the Salvation Army. If "OUT" really cared about providing facilities for special "identities," they should donate funds to the Salvation Army to provide them. Instead, they want to destroy the ability of the Salvation Army to help anybody.

The account is told of Harry A. Ironside, a pastor who served as a Captain in the Salvation Army in California, who was happily participating in a street corner singing and testimony session in San Francisco. He was interrupted by a wealthy agnostic "community organizer" type fellow who challenged Ironside to a debate of Christianity vs Agnosticism. Ironside accepted with one provision: The man was to bring one man and one woman who could testify that their position in agnosticism has changed their formerly wretched lives into one far better than they ever dreamed. In return, Ironside said that he would bring 100 people to the debate who could personally testify as to what their lives were before they heard the Gospel of Christ and since they had recieved Christ. On the spot the SA group captain offered at least forty people in that day's gathering who could accompany Ironside and give their testimonies. Ironside waited for the guy to accept the challenge and the guy walked off disgusted. One of the happiest sounds of the Christmas season is the ringing of the SA bell at the kettle. I always try to thank the person ringing the bell for their "service" in SA.

The Salvation Army is religious based so the mindless left (especially the gay mafia) automatically hates it. Never mind anything else. I remember the mindless left automatically jumping on some religious speaker without even looking at them. The speaker turned out to be a quadriplegic. The mindless left doesn't even bother to look before they leap. They would be embarrassed, but they have no shame.

The Left hates the SA because like Samaritan's Purse, they are actual charities. Not enablers of immorality and vile behavior like abortion. And unlike the Red Cross, they don't play games with donations either, or charge victims for blankets and donuts, etc. I loathe fake charities and those who take advantage. The money isn't for high salaries and retreats for board members, it is for CHARITY.

After he was acquitted in a major fraud trial, former Labor Secretary Ray Donovan asked, “Which office do I go to to get my reputation back?” The trial was ruinous for Donovan, personally and financially, and the question was a fair one. Donovan, however, at least received a trial. Former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page has never been given a fair hearing, let alone a trial, to clear his name. As the two political parties spin the results of a report by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, one matter remains unaddressed. Someone needs to apologize to Page. The letter, sent to the DNC Saturday afternoon, is signed by Booker, Castro and all seven presidential candidates who have already qualified for the December debate. It urges the committee to alter its debate qualifications for the January and February debates in a way that would allow Booker and Castro and potentially several other candidates to appear.

Ever since Watergate and the fall of Richard Nixon, a not-so-secret appeal of journalism has been the possibility that you, too, could bring down a president. Get a press pass and, presto, you’re another Woodward and Bernstein. Donald Trump just spoiled the fantasy. If, as expected, the Democrats’ impeachment dies a quick death in the Senate, it’s not just Speaker Nancy Pelosi who will have been thwarted. Presidential scalp-hunting by a biased media will be another Washington game disrupted by Trump.

Imagine California being “too close to call” for Donald Trump vs. his Democratic opponent on election night in November of 2020. That, in essence, is what happened in the United Kingdom Thursday night with an enormous, and historic, win for Boris Johnson and the Conservative Party. This movement of the political tectonic plates will surely cause a tsunami of reaction across the pond, here in the U.S., as well around the world. Since the era of Margaret Thatcher the U.K hasn’t seen such a surge toward the Conservative Party and this is such a large win that it will hold for at least a generation to come.

The LSU quarterback on Saturday won the Heisman Trophy, given to the most outstanding player in college football. He beat out fellow quarterbacks Jalen Hurts (Oklahoma) and Justin Fields (Ohio State) and defensive end Chase Young (Ohio State) to hoist the 85th edition of the award at the PlayStation Theater in New York City. Burrow finished with the largest margin of victory in Heisman history, as 1,846 points separated him from second-place Hurts. He also received a record 90.7% of all the first-place votes available and was named on 95.5% of ballots, another record.
Democrats’ Impeachment and

Democrats crying “impeachment” are the boy who cried “wolf.” Like the boy in the fable, they will find they have worn out the cry. And like the boy, they will be the ones to suffer for having done so. In the story, a shepherd boy repeatedly excites the townsfolk by falsely claiming he has seen a wolf. Eventually, the exasperated townspeople come to ignore his cries. Like the boy, Democrats have been crying for impeachment for every perceived Trump offense — many of which exist only in their own imagination. Originally centering on Russia, failure there drove them to Ukraine.

Some recent news stories verge on the bizarre: the House Democrats’ futile fuss over impeachment, Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s acceptance of President Trump’s US-Canada-Mexico trade treaty. But they’re not as bizarre, or possibly as consequential, as unanticipated developments in the Democrats’ presidential nomination contest. Consider the role of money, which Democrats are always saying plays too big a role in politics. This year, it plainly isn’t. Their two billionaire late entrants, Tom Steyer and Michael Bloomberg, aren’t running away with the contest. Steyer is at 1.7% in the RealClearPolitics average, and Bloomberg’s 5.5% surely owes as much to his formidable three terms as New York mayor

When it comes to the unlawful surveillance on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, the most important question is, what did President Obama know and when did he know it? If we are to believe the testimony in the Justice Department inspector general’s report on FISA abuse, Obama didn’t know anything about the Crossfire Hurricane investigation. Neither did his attorney general, her deputy, or anyone in the White House. At least not that they can recall – an expression used over 200 times in the report. The Trump administration is preparing to move the public lands management bureau out of Washington, DC to Colorado. It makes perfect sense because the vast majority of public lands are out west. It’s a great tactical move as well. One of the best ways to drain the swamp is to decentralize federal agencies by getting them out of the swamp.
