GLAAD Commends Chick-fil-A for
Dropping Donations to Christian
Groups But Demands
Franchise Change ‘Anti-LGBTQ’ Brand

Original Article

On Monday, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation commended Chick-fil-A for its decision to halt donations to several Christian charities but demanded the fast-food chain do more to change its “anti-LGBTQ” brand. GLAAD said it “greet[s] today’s announcement with cautious optimism” but warned that the Georgia-based company still has work to do to fix its tarnished image with the LGBTQ community. “In addition to refraining from financially supporting anti-LGBTQ organizations, Chick-fil-A still lacks policies to ensure safe workplaces for LGBTQ employees and should unequivocally speak out against the anti-LGBTQ reputation that their brand represents,” GLAAD director of campaigns Drew Anderson said in a statement to CNN.

Comments:

This group is demanding that Chick-fil-A rebrand themselves in accordance with their wishes. Does Chick-fil-A really think the customers won’t punish them for this?

I would hope that Chick-Fil-a can see that when you give these Q's an inch, they start demanding the next inch. If every 'Q' orders a sandwich tomorrow, it won't be as many as you'll lose from your regular customers. Maybe they should just reverse this bad decision and hope people forget.

And, especially The Salvation Army, who has always been a charity that is totally above board and straight (in the normal meaning of the word) and helps everyone. I went to Mac Donald's yesterday and the young man at the counter - maybe sixteen or so - was wearing dark nail polish and earrings and I tried to act as if I did not notice and it was perfectly normal and just with respect. They should treat others with respect too.

Chick fil A is great chicken and I enjoy it quite often. But they blew this PR move. Chick fil A gave an inch and they are going to want to take a mile and they will never let go. Sort of like a snapping turtle chomping down on your fingers. They will never unlock their jaws. It's chicken. If they don't want to buy it then don't buy it. The only thing I have ever heard from Chick fil A is the founder or CEO (not sure exactly who it was) stated he thought marriage was between a man and a woman. That's it. He did not say homosexuals (or whatever you call yourself today) should be jailed, thrown off a 3 story building, shunned and denied service or anything else. So get your head out of your genitals and buy the chicken and enjoy or don't. Chaos is being caused over your feelings and I don't care about your feelings.

So-o-o-o, they already made a first big mistake by compromising their values and integrity. Your move ...Chick-fil-A. It's about money! They need to change their image by virtue signalling like every other corporartion so they can make more money through expansion. Giving money to meaningless generic charities to ambiguous causes with hard to pin down goals. Corporate double speak. They want to expand here and overseas and the EU and other oh so woke places are bucking. Instead of just being happy with their success and sticking with integrity and the Christian values that brought them to this dance, they are switching partners to make more money. "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 11But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. 12Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. " Timothy 6:10-12

When I first heard about this, I didn't understand the reasons for it. Why risk your brand, which is doing great not withstanding the gay mafia's complaints? They have been complaining for years. It hasn't hurt their business. The only reason that made any sense is that they have some "social justice warriors" in their executive corps. And it doesn't matter to them if it hurts business. Social justice warrioring is meant to damage the country. Period. And that takes precedence over profits.

CFA needs to reread their Bible again. If they are truly Christian in their corporate belief, they should realize that they can love the sinner, but still hate the sin. As God Himself does and says. But these Leftists will not be happy until CFA is total scorched earth and nothing but burning cinders. And then they STILL won't be happy. You cannot negotiate with terrorists CFA, but you can lose the people who have supported you all these years in the face of the attacks of the evil minded. So CFA, whose face would you rather slap? A tiny but noisy minority of population who are not even customers nor will ever be, or the stalwart Christians who do support you? Don't converge now CFA.

I read comments yesterday with the pretzel-twisted logic that the Salvation Army was dumped because they are too pro-gay. Their mission statement says they serve all in need, no matter what they are, including sexual orientation. Sounds pretty Christ-like to me. There was no SA endorsement of homosexual activity, just a commitment to serve the people who walk through their doors. Chick-Fil-A dumped the charity recipients the gay lobby had previously whined about. That cannot be a coincidence.

I live by this, I pay attention to tv ads and look at who companies are trying to appeal to or target. Example a car commercial is accompanied by rappers and jungle beat noise so I figure that's their target group not me. I won't buy that product. If Chick-fil-A wants to appease the Q-crowd then I hope CFA can make profits off the perverts because I won't darken their doorway ever. Cracker Barrel did this a few years back for the Q-crowd and I quit going there. A business should be wise in their target crowd or suffer the profit loses. Is a small splinter crowd really worth the attention and loss of profits?

For the last few years, CfA has been my "go to" for fast food. I have eaten there 2-3 times a week, and have been known to go 25-30 miles out of my way to eat at one. Yes, partially it was because of those really yummy chicken sandwiches and great customer service. But, far more so, I went to support a company that stood by it's values, which were the same as my values. I will still eat at CfA if they are close by and it's lunch time. I really do like their food. But I will never drive out of my way to get to a CfA again. They caved!!! It's that simple. I doubt my $50 a month they won't be getting will make much a dent in their bottom line. But I have the feeling that I may not be the only one eating there less than I used to...

Or, as the Roman satirist Juvenal famously put it, “Who will guard the guardians?” It was recently reported that FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith altered an email to bolster a suspicious FBI effort to obtain a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court warrant authorizing the surveillance of Carter Page, a onetime employee of the Trump campaign.

As we reported two days ago, Joe Biden completely made no sense when he was trying to explain the Wuhan coronavirus relief bill. It was really bad and it explains why they’re afraid to have him deliver an address to Congress or do any kind of a real solo press conference, because at this point they have to be afraid this is all going to fall apart if he does anything live and this all becomes too obvious to the American people. But there’s only so long that they can hold this off. And it’s getting worse, as video today revealed. Biden was holding an event to announce the nomination

Democrat Senator Joe Manchin (WV) appears to have started to shift his views on the filibuster with remarks that he made on two news shows on Sunday morning. The shift from Manchin comes after he has repeatedly stated that he would not vote to end the filibuster, despite pressure from the far-Left. During the interviews on Sunday, Manchin repeatedly claimed that he was not open to ending the filibuster because he did not want to strip the minority party of their power in the Senate, but signaled that he was open to changing it.Fox News host Chris Wallace asked Manchin if he would consider “reforming the filibuster” if “Republicans

In an open letter released Sunday, Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden urged him to “honor his commitment” and include the Hyde Amendment in Democrats’ $1.9 trillion COVID-19 spending package, writing “we feel used and betrayed.” The letter states: We are very disappointed about the COVID-19 relief package’s exclusion of the Hyde Amendment, a longstanding bipartisan policy that prevents taxpayer funding for abortion. [snip] As pro-life leaders in the evangelical community, we publicly supported President Biden’s candidacy with the understanding that there would be engagement [with] us on the issue of abortion and particularly the Hyde Amendment

If you had any doubts that Meghan Markle is a manipulative piece of work, her bombshell Oprah interview Sunday night dumping on the British monarchy would set you straight. Prince Harry’s American wife accused his family of hateful racism against her baby, claimed they refused to protect her and drove her to the point of suicide. She made the incendiary and implausible charge that when she was pregnant with Archie, the royal family decreed that her unborn son would be denied the title of “prince” because her mixed race meant he might have dark skin.

Nancy Pelosi’s top priority is to turn America into a one-party nation ruled by Democrats. Her bill HR 1 trashes the U.S. Constitution in an attempt to rig the system and make it virtually impossible to elect a Republican president or Congress again. It’s a power grab. The bill eviscerates state voting laws and forces all the states to conform to a set of rules that includes automatic voter registration. Anyone who goes to a DMV or applies for food stamps, Medicaid or other social services, or attends a public college will be automatically enrolled to vote. Noncitizens are obligated to identify themselves and opt out,

The Royal Family was left reeling this morning after Meghan Markle tearfully revealed that the stress of royal life made her suicidal when she was five months pregnant, claimed Archie was denied the title of prince because he is mixed-race and said Kate Middleton made her cry before she married Harry in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. The couple also chose to reveal that they are having a baby girl to the tens of millions of people watching the CBS show broadcast in the US before accusing the Royal Family of racism and revealing the deep rift 'Megxit' has caused with Prince Charles and Prince William.

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.

Rep. Steve Cohen vowed to renew the push to remove former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the bureau’s downtown Washington headquarters, according to an interview released Monday. Appearing on Yahoo! News’ Skullduggery podcast, the Tennessee Democrat said the effort is getting a fresh look after the release of a new movie highlighting the FBI’s secret program to discredit civil rights activists. The Washington Times in 2019 first reported Democrats’ bid to strip the longtime FBI director’s name from the bureau’s headquarters. Mr. Cohen said the impetus to revive the bid is the new movie, “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The movie details

“There must have been a moment, at the beginning, when we could have said –-no. But somehow we missed it.” Tom Stoppard The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast. His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man. Instead, apparently so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband’s campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.
