Who Owns FedEx?

Original Article

You may have seen (or heard on a podcast) that Fred Smith so vehemently objects to the New York Times report contending that FedEx paid nothing in federal taxes that he’s challenged New York Times publisher A. G. Sulzberger to a public debate and pointed out that “the New York Times paid zero federal income tax in 2017 on earnings of $111 million, and only $30 million in 2018 – 18% of their pretax book income.” Notice the Times article implicitly argues that company revenue going to shareholders is inherently something bad or unjust: Much of its [tax cut] savings have gone to reward shareholders:

Capitalism works and works beautifully The only real, age old problem is that socialists/communists have to be indulged with their constant screaming that it's unfair and they could make things work better. Just ignore them, like bratty children, and plow ahead.

The slimes has been owned by the Sulzberger family since 1896. A.G. Sulzberger is of course a hard-left liberal who was indoctrinated at Brown University. The family has a Jewish faith history. If you research the slimes history a bit, accusations abound that the paper turned a blind eye on the German atrocities committed against the Jewish people in Germany during the Holocaust. The slimes chose to not report these atrocities in any great detail. Once again, I shake my head wondering how the wealthy among this faith had become so dehumanized and remain dyed in the wool demcrats.

Thank you Fred smith. Fed Ex is so successful that the Memphis airport is the busiest airport in the world during the nighttime hours as package are loaded on planes. I don’t think the times contributes to the economy like that

In its small way, NYT contributes to the economy in furnishing bird cage liner, litter box filler and garbage wrap. Let's be charitable. All Fred Smith is doing is building the economy and providing jobs. Any old conservative can do that; right Mr. President??

Prince Andrew announced Wednesday that he’s stepping back from public duties “for the foreseeable future” amid furor over his now-infamous interview about his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. “It has become clear to me over the last few days that the circumstances relating to my former association with Jeffrey Epstein has become a major disruption to my family’s work and the valuable work going on in many organizations and charities that I am proud to support,” said Andrew’s statement, released by the palace and obtained by the Guardian.

“Operation Crossfire Hurricane,” the FBI’s code name for its investigation into Donald Trump’s campaign and Russia, blew through the United States in 2016 and did more damage to our national security institutions than any real hurricane could. The upcoming report from the Department of Justice’s Inspector General may well conclude that high-level Obama Justice Department and FBI officials knowingly lied to obtain top-secret surveillance warrants that were originally designed to target foreign spies and terrorists, and used them to monitor a U.S. citizen whose only crime appears to have been acting as an adviser to the Trump campaign.

I still remember watching Colin Kaepernick play in the Kraft Bowl which solidified him as the greatest player in the history of the University of Nevada football. His playing style was captivating, as he became the only player in NCAA history to pass for over 10,000 yards and rush for over 4,000 yards in their college career He didn’t waste any time establishing his NFL career either as he led the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl in his second season. Unfortunately, Kaepernick’s amazing football career is being overshadowed by things that have nothing to do with his play on the field. After igniting a national debate around kneeling

New York Times columnist and CBS News political analyst Jamelle Bouie addressed a closed-door gathering of the Democratic Party's top donors last week in potential violation of the paper's ethical guidelines, which prohibit paid speeches to political groups and urge staff members to be "especially sensitive to the appearance of partiality when they address groups that might figure in coverage they provide." The Democratic establishment, its donor class, and the party's strategy has been a regular subject of Bouie's columns and of his political analysis on CBS News, where he is a frequent guest on the network's flagship Sunday program Face the Nation. The remarkable decision by the State Department to declare that Israeli settlements on the disputed territories of the West Bank are not inherently illegal or illegitimate has already occasioned the bringing-out of the foreign policy smelling salts. The New York Times’s news story instantly declared that this might “doom any peace efforts with Palestinians,” as though there are any peace efforts with the Palestinians to doom right now or in the foreseeable future. The decade-long withdrawal of the Palestinians from any realistic effort to forge a future for themselves in a land they might take as a state—following a decade of specious pseudo-negotiations torpedoed by Palestinians when and if

Just about everyone covering the 2020 race thinks Joe Biden is too old, that he’s lost a step since his days as vice president, and that his debate performances have been mixed at best. But Biden is still hanging in there in third place in Iowa; the CBS News poll has him tied for first. Michael Bloomberg and Deval Patrick jumped in late, sensing that Biden was soft and on the verge of collapse, and that not-so-liberal Democratic voters were itching for another option. But Biden is still hanging in there, in second place in New Hampshire, and Quinnipiac has him in first place. Progressives are ridiculing Biden for contending marijuana

The “green wave” of campaign cash that boosted Democrats and liberal causes in 2018 included an unprecedented gusher of secret money, new documents obtained by POLITICO show. The Sixteen Thirty Fund, a little-known nonprofit headquartered in Washington, spent $141 million on more than 100 left-leaning causes during the midterm election year, according to a new tax filing from the group. The money contributed to efforts ranging from fighting Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and other Trump judicial nominees to boosting ballot measures raising the minimum wage and changing laws on voting and redistricting in numerous states.

Forget the Democrats' talking points. Forget the media spin. If you watched Lt. Col. Vindman's testimony today it was a total dud for the Democrats and their impeachment witch hunt. Need proof? I've compiled ten reasons that the show today did not advance the Democrats' narrative one bit. 10. Vindman admitted that the president, not unelected bureaucrats, sets U.S. policy It’s hard to imagine why pointing this out is even necessary, but Democrat counsel Daniel Goldman seemed to be under the impression that unelected bureaucrats set U.S. policy, not the president. This is a very revealing moment. Adam Schiff's lackey Daniel Goldman suggests that unelected bureaucrats

Mrs. Pelosi hauled out Nixon in her interview on the Columbia Broadcasting System, where Margaret Brennan asked the speaker whether the President would get, “as he says,” to “confront his accuser.” The question was met with a slippery evasion that began with Mrs. Pelosi snapping, “What do you mean
