At least six people were wounded in a shooting at Saugus High School when a gunman opened fire on the Santa Clarita campus early Thursday, authorities said.
The shooting was reported at the campus at 21900 Centurion Way sometime before 8 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. (Snip) Several students were placed on gurneys and transported to ambulances in the school’s parking lot.
Rosedell and Highland elementary schools, located nearby, were locked down as authorities search for the shooter. The suspect is described as a 15-year-old boy wearing a black hat and black clothing, sheriff’s officials said.

They can describe the clothing and the possible age, but not the race? How many 15-year-old boys might one find in or near a school?

This can't be! California doesn't allow this sort of thing! Maybe all the people of California...and California Only...should turn in their guns. If you are dumb enough to live there...you aren't capable of safe ownership of firearms. Or of knives either...or hammers...or axes...or chain saws...or cars which kill lots of people!!! We need to be safe after all "for the children"! Oh and please make this kid or perv. who did this a national celebrity when caught or killed by police!

Cripes they must have missed applying the gun free zone sign to one of the entry points.
"Former Rep. Katie Hill stood in her backyard in Saugus as helicopters circled overheard searching for the gunman."
So was katie properly attired for the occasion?

#1 and 4. Ever hear of the Big Bad State of Texas? They are still ahead of California in these kind of shootings is my guess. El Paso, Dallas Police and a church. And I hear that many Big Bad Texas Men carry. So how can this happen in Texas where the folks don't TOLERATE THIS STUFF?

The only explanation is to blame the manufacturer of whatever mode of transportation the shooter used to get to the school.

A few posters made an interesting point. It does seem true that whenever the communists need a distraction from some crime they committed or some embarrassment, something like this happens. Impeachment falling apart? No problem. School shooting. Not only is it a good distraction on the news, you get to scream for more gun control. Its a twofer.

The way the headline writer changed WOUNDED to INJURED caught my attention and won't let it go. The distinction between the words is not insignificant, and I doubt that changing them was unintentional. Treating those words as interchangeable seems to have increased in recent years, especially in the Liberal press, and treating different things as if they are the same bothers me.

Katie Hill is notably irrelevant to this story.

I guess I'm "dumb enough to live there" (thank #4 very much for the high praise). And here I was laboring under the impression that my choice in the matter was constrained to the point that I'm essentially stuck here for the indefinite future... How fortunate I am to have somebody else who's never even met me judge my situation on my behalf, stupid Conservative Californian that I am.

But, California has very strict gun control, and no "assault weapons" and 2 week waiting periods, and one gun a month, and, and......, how is this possible?
/s off
The usual way, a violent person steals a gun and breaks about 25 or 30 laws without batting an eye.

The local Sheriff says that one of the 6 victims taken to treatment is the perpetrator, who shot himself in the head.

#18, this person shot himself in the head and didn't die?
Pretty darned incompetent, in addition to being evil.

Last I heard at least two teens are dead and the shooter is still alive. He is a 16 year old Asian kid in engineering classes. His father died two years ago. Nobody noticed anything and said he was quiet. It was his birthday.
Nobody wins here.
