President Donald Trump has waged a war on Mexican drug cartels after three American mothers and six children from a Mormon community based in northern Mexico were massacred by cartel gunmen.
The victims, who belonged to the LeBaron family, were ambushed by cartel gunmen eight miles apart on a dirt road in the Mexican border state of Sonora on Monday while traveling in a convoy of three SUVs - one of which had suffered a flat tire.
At the time of the attack, the family members were traveling from the La Mora religious community where they live, which is a decades-old settlement in Sonora state founded

The Mexican president is a moron. His response to Trump was that he didnt think that violence is the answer.
I disagree. I believe that ruthless slaughter of the cartels will solve the problem. Permanently.

Not only is violence the one and only answer, it is the only way to win a war against animals like this. Start sending a few rockets into their rats nests.

This is simply horrific.
On a side note, DM is a nearly unusable/unreadable site now. I can't access their content without an ad-blocker, and each page is so cluttered that I'm unable to scroll/read. So, goodbye former guilty pastime known as The Daily Mail.

#1 is correct, the only thing these animals understand is violence. And just as we have a Deep State, so the drug cartels have their minions everywhere, in local & federal get., in law enforcement, in the military. The corruption of Mexico mirrors our DeepState but we haven’t stopped to such violence yet, although the Antifa could do that if they decided to arm themselves.

This may be slightly off point but now you know why the Mormon politicians from Utah and elsewhere oppose an effective borderline barrier along the borderline from Mexico. Keeping in mind that there are a lot of Mormons who are citizens of Mexico along with other Mormons who are US citizens who have moved over the years to Mexico. While the US citizen Mormons can freely cross the borderline back and forth from Mexico, the Mormons in Mexico who are Mexican citizens have since the get-go crossed illegally into the USA and traveled to Utah where they have been welcomed both as fellow Mormons and as cheap labor. An effective borderline barrier would greatly restrict that illegal flow of Mexican Mormons into the USA.

These are a breakoff group more the FLDS or those refusing to give up polygamy when the mainstream church did. They are the Lebarons of the Chynoweth and Lebaron factions murdering each other for gaining power of leadership of the group.in the 1970's about. The murder of a Doctor Rulon Allred made national news at the time. I do not know if they have a central leader now.or if there were spare wives and children at home. These not of the Jeff Whatisname of recent infamy of latest FLDS movement and now jailed.

As long as the drug cartels pay much better than the Mexican army does. and as long as the cartels tell soldiers to "look the other way" (or worse, to do their bidding) or they will kill their families, there isn't much that the Mexican army of government can do!!!!
So it probably is going to take foreigner coming in and doing the "dirty work" to destroy these cartels!!!!
However, unless the Mexicans agree to allow our military to shoot to kill with no prejudice, then I don't want to see a single American military personnel involved in trying to deal with this!!!!

Mexico like the United States should have shot the first drug dealer and user. I've always thought the "war on drugs" required lamp posts and trees with strong limbs. Mexico should have been #1 on America's priority list. Kill every last cartel member and politicians who were bought and who knows? A wall might not be necessary.

One former member is George Romney, father of 2012 Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who was born in 1907 in Colona Dublan in Chihuahua state.
Whoa, hold the phone a minute! The same George Romney who ran for President in 1968? Born in Mexico? It's not as if his parents were there on business or government assignment.
Reading the brief history of internal struggle and violence at the end of the article, you would think Mormons are on par with muslims.

I am sorry that they were killed, but living in Mexico now is beyond stupid, into suicidal. Life is about choices, this is a truly foolish, counter-factual choice. It was entirely predictable that this would or could easily occur.
That said - I am for sending in our military to wipe out the cartels and clear a zone, say 50 miles wide, where any armed cartel men will be shot on sight by Americans, or droned with a Hellfire. Screw the so called border, nobody else pays any attention to it, why should we?

Don't ever go to Mexico. No part is safe. Closest I want to get to Mexico is the Los Cucos restaurant down the road.

Just to clarify, OP, these are not members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who no longer use the (non-offensive) nickname of Mormon, given to them by non-members nearly two centuries ago. All of that aside, it's time to get permission from Mexico for ongoing drone strikes, Hellfire missiles, etc., on the members of these cartels.

Imagine our response if this happened in the United States. The cartels would be dead. Unfortunately, this is Mexico where the government is largely controlled by the cartels.

Permission, #19? Hah. Permission
or not there are a bunch of thugs who need to be killed. Not arrested, not 'brought to justice ', just executed, shot down like the dogs that they are.
We need to make them recognize that harming Americans is a really bad choice.

Yes, #21; but we wouldn't want some other country firing missiles on our turf without our authorization.

And what approach would President Obrador use instead? No, war is not the worst thing you can have, if the other side has already declared war on you. If the mexican drug cartels use machine guns, we use hellfire missiles. We put the fear of God and the U.S.A. in to them. It is the only thing they understand.

The Mexican Government will never allow the USA to enter Mexico directly with the military force necessary to seek out and destroy the entrenched Mexican drug cartels. Too many big wigs down there are receiving big payoffs in accordance with the established Mexican principle of “mordida” or “taking the bite” for that to happen. The cartels moving illicit drugs in huge amounts into the USA and the ensuing payoffs to influential people on both sides of the borderline is another reason why so many oppose the erection and administration of an effective borderline barrier to keep illegal aliens and illicit drugs out of the USA.

I am totally stunned by this story. Mormons, I once dated one, are supposed to do a two-year missionary work as part of their faith. I totally support President Trump should he send troops into Mexico. The drug cartels have shown that they control the country when a couple of weeks ago, one of their members was released from prison or a firefight would occur. They are beyond a clear and dangerous threat to all of US.
