John Durham may be the most consequential and least known figure in Washington right now.
In May, U.S. attorney general William Barr selected Durham, a longtime prosecutor with a résumé so sterling it nearly glows, to investigate the origins of the special counsel’s probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election, and whether it was properly predicated. Some Trump fans believe there was a vast effort by a “deep state” of high-ranking intelligence and law-enforcement officials to smear Trump or hinder his campaign by creating a perception of corrupt ties to Russia. In late October, the New York Times quoted unnamed sources who said that Durham’s probe

Yeah, yeah, yeah, so where is Durham's report, or ANY report on any wrongdoing by the Democrats?

My take on why we have seen or heard nothing is because this is a serious effort. If Trump/Barr/Durham ran this investigation like Shiff the press could attack it piece by piece as it dribbled out. They could also tip their hand as to what they have on who.
Anyone who has been paying the slightest attention knows what The Swamp tried. Now it must be locked up air tight for a legal case. No BS. No political grandstanding.
Trump knows the cabal will chase him even after he's out of office. The Swamp knows Trump is not going to stop. Neither side has ANY incentive to not duke it out to the end. If it hasn't happened yet it but, will soon. Both sides are going to have to shove all the chips to the center of the table and show their hands.

Ok, I read the whole thing. It only leads me to believe Durham is so cautious that it is unlikely he will bring charges against the deep state.

I don’t believe any prosecution in the country’s history is as important as the one investigating this matter. It will decide the fate of the country going forward. It will conclude that we are a country of laws, not men. The American people want and deserve justice in this matter. They want to know if their government has been compromised by lawless politicians and bureaucrats who believe it is they who make the rules regardless of what the law says. Investigating the mafia has been excellent training for Durham. I pray that he is faithful to his oath of office and will be fair and honest. My only concern is what good is a perfect investigation if the democrats have destroyed the country with this false impeachment fiasco. While the democrats are running wild and doing great harm not only to an innocent man but to this country, a long drawn out investigation won’t matter one bit if the corrupt democrats continue down their road of destruction which will permanently divide the country and make any findings of Durham inconsequential. Sometimes we don’t have the luxury of time and I believe this is one of them. A coup is being perpetrated in real time now and it is of the upmost importance that the truth of the democrats involvement in the travesty of justice that has been ongoing since January 2017, be revealed before irreparable damage is done.

Barr has washed his hands of all of it, turned it over to Durham, who will wallow for years, and we will hear nothing. I hope Durham is not another Huber. Lindsey Graham has said he is stepping down from the Judiciary Committee next year, after doing nothing for the entirety of his tenure. We have heard fire so many times on the Horowitz report that no one believes it will be released any longer. McConnell changes the subject to judges any time he is asked about Democrat wrong doing. Barr was given authority to release documents last May, but has released zero documents, and as far as we know, has not looked at any, or searched for any. The impeachment inquiry is a farce, and so is the effort by the Republicans to "get to the bottom of it".

Since Gen Flynn’s Attorney is attempting to force the FBI to release its apparently doctored 302 interview written by the omnipresent Strzok and later embellished by his FBI lover, Page, I do not trust federal agencies, including AG Barr’s DoJ. Add in fact that Roger Stone goes on trial next week while absolutely no one from the Obama regime has been charged with anythng, I put little faith in John Durham since he may just be a goateed version of the last savior prosecutor, John Huber
When there are indictments, plea deals and prison sentences of Obama and his coup plotters, i’ll take Durham seriously.

I have no doubt that Durham is the real thing. But, for starters, let's see the Horowitz report first and understand the FISA abuses and who was involved. THEN, let's see Durham's findings which details the criminal findings. THEN let's see the indictments, the trials, the sentences, and the prison terms. Still waiting.

Something tells me a couple of the posters did not read the whole article. It is very long. But, gives a very good idea of what type of prosecutor Durham is. #1, I am not waiting on a report from Durham. I am waiting for indictments and don't expect to hear anything prior to them being issued. You know someone better to do this? Give me a name.

Prosecutors, just like judges, watch election results. With all the good intentions Durham is unlikely to do anything from now until the elections. Lot of thunder but no rain. It is really up to the voters to give a clear and unambiguous signal as to what they want. Many people are now fearing that they are the next target of the Deep State and (are) beginning to understand what Trump means when he says 'It is you they hate, I am merely in the way'. Barr, Durham, IMO, are waiting for that to express itself in election results.

We keep hearing that this, that, or the other investigator will unearth the truth. So far the deep staters have been treated like heroes by the MSM and the vendetta against President Trump has gone unabated. John Durham may be our best and only hope to bring the deep state to task. But, I will believe it when I see it.
One thing is for certain, if he does indict the guilty, he will be greeted by a slander campaign to rival that directed at President Trump.

Pardon, second post, but, suggest everyone read to the end of the article. The second to the last paragraph summarizes Durham and what to expect from him.

I remember reading articles like this about Mueller. What a respected fine upstanding man he was, how he was only interested in getting to the bottom of the situation, his sterling unblemished reputation, blah, blah, blah.

This open sedition involving players from a president, a secretary of state, the DOJ and heads of our intelligence agencies is a first time event as far as we know. Barr and Durham are plowing new ground and it's dangerous for them. If the Deep State is willing to try to bring down a president, it's a small matter to murder lesser officials. I'm looking forward to either a good outcome or the civil war that we know is inevitable if the Deep State should prevail. This must be fixed.

Wow, I read the whole article and now have three cavities. However, Durham investigated Mueller, found three felonies Mueller committed against three innocent men, and I notice Mueller was given a long prison sentence for his crimes. Oh no wait. Mueller was rewarded and promoted for his crimes. Now, with that history, I am confident Mueller, Comey, et al will receive same fate over their crimes against Carter Page; rewards and promotions. And, I am absolutely certain NR will publish many articles supporting that result. After all, us smelly Walmart shoppers are just too stupid and need NR's help identifying and correcting our lack of Chanel Number Five smelling elitism.

Am I the only one who is tired of waiting for some bombshell of a report from the IG, the DOJ, the Attorney General, and/or Durham to publish the truth? I want to see the entire web of NAMES, and exactly where it all began.
We who know what’s been going on, would like to have our fellow citizens who do not pay attention to the news, or those who have covered for the guilty, either by participating or slanted reporting, faced with convincing evidence and truth.
Don’t allow anyone to get away with using the phrase, “You have your own set of facts, I have mine,” garbage! That goes for Brazile, Juan, Wallace, and every other kiss up to the Dems.

Odd! I don’t trust Durham, Barr etc. any more than I trust Brennan, Comey, Clapper, Schiff etc. They have all been in this corrupt Deep State so long...they may be part of the problem not the solution!

Agreed #3.
Durham & Barr are submarines not showboats.
The more silent the closer they get to dem.
When the moment comes we will see & hear the explosions.
Then surface & pickup the flipping survivors for the next attacks.
