Why Obama got a Nobel Peace Prize for
nothing — and Trump never will for anything

President Barack Obama’s first act as a Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2009 — nine months after he took the oath of office — was to try to wriggle out of accepting it. “The morning the prize was announced, his staff investigated whether anyone had failed to travel to Oslo to receive their prize,” writes Nobel insider Geir Lundestad in “The World’s Most Prestigious Prize” (Oxford), out this month. Apparently, the president was among the 61 percent of Americans who believed he didn’t deserve it. “It is true, Obama did not do much before winning,” Lundestad, 74, a member of Norway’s Nobel Committee until 2014, told The Post.

Lightbringer didn't get the Nobel for nothing. He got it because the Norwegians were ecstatic that the American MSM had finally succeeded in maliciously placing an anti-American socialist in the Oval Office under the guise of being an oppressed black. When you think about it, that's actually quite a feat.

Lets review some interesting history of previous winners of this "prestigious award": 2009-Barack H. Obama “for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples”. 1994-Yasser Arafat “for efforts to create peace in the Middle East”. 1990-Mikhail Gorbachev “for his leading role in the peace process which today characterizes important parts of the international community” Yes, Gorbachev was recognized for LOSING the cold war, but Ronald Reagan was not recognized for WINNING it. Like the fake news media, the Nobel Peace Prize has become meaningless because it now exists only to support a liberal, socialist agenda. One must wonder how Joseph Stalin and Adolph Hitler were passed over for this "honor".

Oh please, Hussein didn’t believe he deserved the prize. Who are you trying to kid. That guy believed he was the messiah. He was here to save the world. He thought any recognition of himself was deserved. In fact he still does. If he really believed he did not deserve the prize he should never have claimed the money.

The fact that our POTUS will not receive a Nobel Prize is actually a good thing at this point. The moment one was given to Obama for absolutely nothing cheapened the there-to-fore coveted recognition so at this point it means nothing at all to receive one...

Along the lines of this famous quote: "I would never belong to a club that would have me as one of it's members", I think Trumps response to the Nobel Prize should be: "I'd never accept a prize that was given to so many people for doing nothing."

The Nobel Peace Prize jumped the shark when they awarded it to that dirty little terrorist Arafat. When they gave it to Barry Soretoro not for anything he had done but for what they hoped he would do, the prize was reduced to a laughingstock. The wonder of wonders is that they didn't award it this year to Scoldilocks, who everyone was sure was a shoe-in to get the prize. Apparently some adults showed up to vote this year.

PDJT did not seek the Presidency for Money, Fame, or Prizes. He had achieved these goals a long time ago. Why anyone would seek office and reject those goodies baffles Career Politicians, who are incapable of reaching these goals without the framework of the Deep State and the Marxist Democrats to give it to them for nothing.

The Nobel Prize committees are hacks. Have been for a long time. Even in the sciences. If a real 'Superman' faced down hostile alien invaders, discovered faster-than-light space travel and saved humanity from extinction, he would be ignored, unless he had the proper politics.

I believe that Alfred Nobel must be turning over in his grave. He wanted to honor people who had really done something to promote peace in the world, not promote political agendas. Considering that Obama was waging wars in Iraq and Afghanistan at the time, it proved how farcical it was to give the Peace Award to him.

The July 25 call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Vlodomyr Zelensky is the central piece of evidence in the Democratic drive to remove the president from office. "That call was a smoking gun," Speaker Nancy Pelosi said after House Democrats voted to formalize their impeachment inquiry. Trump has repeatedly said the call was "perfect," or, as he described it on Sunday, "perfecto." His defenders, or most of them, have declined to adopt that characterization. But importantly, the president, and others as well, have also pointed to the circumstances of the Trump-Zelensky conversation as evidence that Trump had no intent to commit any sort of offense,

Put a fork in Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign —it’s over. Now that she’s finally released details on her Medicare-for-All plan and its eye-wincing $52 trillion projected price tag, there’s no way that 160 million Americans who like their healthcare plans — including labor unions — will want to see them made illegal. Nor will any rational citizen want to have critical health-care decisions being made by faceless government bureaucrats who will decide what doctor you can see, and what medical treatment or surgery you’re permitted to get — or not. If Medicare-for-All is implemented, wave goodbye to consumer choice and say hello to rationed care and longer wait times

President Trump has earned both the highest praise and severest criticism for his decisions on defense and foreign policy matters. Whether he was revoking Obama’s terrible nuclear weapons deal with Iran or telling the world that he trusted Russian President Putin as much as he trusts our intelligence community, Trump has followed no ideology or explained how or why he reached any decision. His beliefs and his actions are transactional. His latest — first betraying our Kurdish allies and then telling the world that we’re seizing the Syrian oil and keeping the revenue (reportedly $45 million a month) resulting from its sale — has no precedent in American history.

If the goal was to damage President Trump by formalizing the impeachment inquiry, it’s Mission Unaccomplished for House Democrats. If anything, the vote solidified Trump’s hold on power. There were zero GOP defections, meaning we have zero drama heading into the public phase of impeachment. Everyone is pretty much in the same lanes they’ve been in since the Russian-collusion investigation, the obstruction of justice investigation and every other investigation. The dashing of Beto O’Rourke’s presidential hopes can be traced, in our estimation, to one moment of truth. It wasn’t his tendency to flap his arms, say, or his radical green agenda or his claim that he was born to be in the political fray, unconvincing as all those might be. It was his vow after the mass shooting at El Paso. “Hell yes,” he shouted during the Democratic debate in Houston, “we’re going to take your AR-15.” It happens that we were watching the debate live when Mr. O’Rourke erupted with that threat. We exclaimed immediately that he would have to drop out. It’s not that the erstwhile congressman

Britain has been in chaos for many weeks and in a state of uncertainty since before the 2016 referendum in which voters demanded departure from the European Union. This week there was an unfortunate blow-up on cable news where Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, one of the witnesses against Donald Trump in the impeachment inquiry, was accused of having loyalty to Ukraine over the United States, since he was born in that country. This argument was unfortunate on two fronts. One, it ironically echoed the absurd and unfair charges that Trump and his supporters — and heck, in the case of Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, anyone who doesn’t express complete fealty to Democratic Party elders — must be Putin’s handmaiden. Two, while antisemitism almost certainly didn’t motivate any of the people who made this argument, the “dual loyalty” canard was unfortunate
