A sharply divided House voted Thursday to approve a resolution setting "ground rules" for the impeachment inquiry into President Trump, putting lawmakers on record over the contentious process while setting the stage for proceedings to move into the public eye after weeks of closed-door depositions.
The measure passed largely along party lines, 232-196. Two Democrats defected on the vote.
The first formal floor vote in relation to the impeachment probe announced a month ago by Speaker Nancy Pelosi followed a fierce debate in the chamber, where Republicans accused Democrats of launching a de facto "coup" against the president in a "pre-ordained" bid to overturn the results of the 2016 election.

We saw this coming. If it is televised. I suggest we not bother with Nancy but go directly to the people. Present all evidence on oh I don’t know ...... Hannity? Trump is a great showman. You would think he knows how to do this quite well. Can you vote for a president who has been impeached? I will write in Donald Trump if he is not on the ballot. Please everyone write letters and pray God sends President Trump more angels

As reported yesterday, news on the Internet is spreading quickly. Many now believe there are at minimum connections between Adam Schiff’s leaker, aka the “whistleblower,” to the now infamous Eric Ciaramella – Obama’s Director of Ukraine at the NSC.
Here’s more on the infamous Director of NSC for Obama in the Ukraine. Somehow this guy is believed to be very close to the leaker that Adam Schiff refuses to provide to the American public. For starters, it turns out that the fake Russia collusion junk dossier was initiated on the same day by the same people that met Eric Ciaramella

Bottom line the Democrats in the House of Representatives are grossly abusing their constitutional powers for partisan political purposes. If the wimpy Republican Senators ever go along with this Democrat partisan exercise and vote to remove President Trump from office, it is just common sense that future Republican Presidents, if there even are any, will all be impeached through similar partisan political exercises anytime the Democrats have a majority in the House of Representatives. Whether those future Republican Presidents will ultimately be removed from office remains to be seen. One thing is for sure if the current lot of wimpy Republican Senators vote to remove Trump from office on bogus Democrat proffered evidence, most of them, will in the eyes of the 62 million “Deplorables” who voted for Trump be considered to have committed an act of personal political suicide resulting in as many as possible of them being removed from the political scene by way of next year’s Republican primary election process.

What do you mean, mostly partisan lines? The vote for was entirely on partisan lines. The vote "against" was mostly along partisan lines.

"approve a resolution setting "ground rules" for the impeachment inquiry into President Trump,"
Fox is as bad as the rest of the media now. It is NOT at impeachment inquiry. There has been no formal vote to open an inquiry, but now they have the rules for an unconstitutional "inquiry". This is nothing more than corrupt Dems in the House going for sound bites to try to hurt the President. Yes, eventually they will vote for impeachment, but there will never have been a formal vote to begin the inquiry. The Supreme Court has ruled that Congress must follow due process and they are not doing that, thus they are violating the Constitution and a Supreme Court ruling in their zeal to hurt this president.

FTA:
The resolution directs the House Intelligence, Foreign Affairs, Financial Services, Judiciary, and Ways and Means Committees to “continue their ongoing investigations as part of the existing House of Representatives inquiry into whether sufficient grounds exist for the House of Representatives to exercise its constitutional power to impeach Donald John Trump.”
The Democrats’ resolution specifies that Republicans in the minority on the Judiciary and Intelligence Committees will have the authority, with the concurrence of committee chairs in the majority, to subpoena witnesses and compel their testimony.
If the chair does not consent, the minority can appeal to the full committee. It is common in other proceedings for committee chairs to essentially have veto authority over subpoenas sought by ranking minority members.
The measure also sets the stage for proceedings to move into a public setting soon.
The resolution authorizes the Intelligence Committee to conduct an "open hearing or hearings" in which minority Republicans have equal time to question witnesses.
And, after that hearing is concluded, "to allow for a full evaluation of minority witness requests, the ranking minority member may submit to the chair, in writing, any requests for witness testimony relevant to the investigation
So, how many times do you think Rep. Bull Schiff will approve of any subpoeana from the Minority?

Essentially what the leftist and liberal Congressional Democrats did this morning is establish a permanent committee to impeach President Trump that will continue those efforts stemming from one allegation to another that will continue on until either the Democrats loose their majority position in the House of Representatives or Trump completes him two terms in office. While all that is ongoing nothing else will get done.

Don't forget about that "IG" that allowed all this to take place.
