Joe Biden: Cops Don't Pull Over White Girls

Original Article

During the Second Step Presidential Justice Forum at Benedict College, a historically black college, on Saturday, Joe Biden was asked by an African American woman in the audience, “If I were your daughter, what advice would you give me the next time I am stopped by the police?” “If you were my daughter, you’d be a Caucasian girl and you wouldn’t be pulled over,” he said. Biden failed to realize how insulting and racist his comment was because he even tweeted a video of the exchange: [tweet] Does Joe Biden really think that cops don't pull over white girls? Really? Instead of accusing law enforcement officers of institutional racism,

Comments:

Anyone who watches LivePD knows that this isn't true, but I'll be sure to use the "Biden excuse" next time I get pulled over.

The correct answer would be... "As with anyone who is being pulled over by the police, be courteous and cooperative, but also know your rights. Assume that the police are just doing their job and are not out to get you. Being polite and courteous is good not only for your safety, but it could be good for your pocket book as well. More than one citation has been turned into only a warning by good manners." I know. I have avoided at least three speeding tickets by being nice. In fact, I have been pulled over 4 times for speeding and have ONE ticket to show for it and that ticket was a blatant speed trap in southern Alabama. I could have been the Pope and Mother Teresa all rolled into one and I was not getting out of that one. But, Joe misses a teachable moment and turns it into yet another shoe leather sandwich.

Joe's latest lie/gaffe, and Bernie's advice to a young black man (the one where he said a Black man should do what the officer says so the officer won't shoot him in the back of the head) just created a huge problem for moderate Dems. If there are any moderate Dems.

What he should have said, was "Don't resist arrest, don't run, and don't get mouthy. Save your arguing for the judge. It may not get you off, but it will almost certainly save you from getting shot." Every story you read about somebody getting "brutalized" by the cops is doing one or more of these things. Very stupid.

Biden and Sanders are both idiots. You can tell that neither of them have driven in years; somebody else drives them around. Up until a few years ago, I spent a lot of time in courtrooms, waiting for my cases to come up in motion hearings - it involved work, not personal matters. Before civil motions were heard, there were always motions and sentencing on criminal cases. I saw a surprising number of well-dressed, attractive middle-aged women being sentenced on traffic offenses. They were almost always for DUI’s. One too many glasses of wine at lunch....

Oh contraire, grand-pere. I, myself, have been pulled over a time or two in my life, including the time I was pulled over and approached by an officer, with gun drawn, due to the fact that the police were looking for someone who had just committed a crime in a car that was exactly like mine. I believe that is called profiling. I answered all his questions politely, and then I was on my way, and I’m white as can be. #10 is also quite correct.

Real advise: 1) roll down all of your windows 2) turn in the interior light if it’s dark 3) place both hands on the wheel until the officer approaches 4) don’t look the officer in the eye if you are reaching for something 5) don’t argue. You won’t win. To avoid being pulled over: 1) never be the lead car of a bunched up group 2) use the Waze app. 3) forget the radar detectors - they are reactive, and are all but an admission of your intent to speed. 4) keep your headlights working, and on 5) watch the horizon. That’s where the next cop that you can avoid is sitting.

I pulled over a lot of people in my cop days. Some were girls. Some were guys. Some old and some young. The one thing they had in common was they had committed a traffic violation. Some got tickets and some didn't. Except for the ones who appeared to be drunk or had warrants, all went on their way within a few minutes. I've heard of cops who pulled over girls in hopes of getting phone numbers, but never personally saw it. I've never seen anyone not pulled over because of their race/sex. That's a dumb statement.

Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., may want to chalk up her ongoing drop in the polls to a prejudice nation, but the real reason she’s sinking like a rock may be found in a petty, even pretentious response to the death of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. In an appearance on NBC’s “Late Night,” Harris scolded President Donald Trump for his “extraordinary” press conference announcing the success of the mission, saying he acted like he was commenting on a video game. (Pettiness aside, it didn’t seem to appear to her campaign that the optics alone made Harris look oh, so small.)

Environmentalists intent on finding new ways to reduce so-called greenhouse gas emissions to curb climate change have proposed a novel method: feed cows seaweed to diminish methane in flatulence, belches, and manure. Ermias Kebreab, an zoology professor at the University of California–Davis, led a team in producing a bovine meal regimen containing varying levels of Asparagopsis armata, a strain of red seaweed, and fed it to 12 dairy cows over a two-month period. In a mix containing just 1 percent seaweed, the cows’ methane emissions went down by a stunning 60 percent.
