WASHINGTON  — For only the fourth time in U.S. history, the House of Representatives has started a presidential impeachment inquiry. House committees are trying to determine if President Donald Trump violated his oath of office by asking a foreign country to investigate a political opponent. A quick summary of the latest news: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW President Donald Trump is confronting the limits of his main impeachment defense. Trump and his aides have largely ignored the details of the Ukraine allegations against him. Instead, they’re loudly objecting to the House Democrats’ investigation process. The strategy is a less-than-compelling counter   Source removed from dateline.

The Republicans are focusing on the process because the are NO facts to justify impeachment.

Well yeah, because there is no actual EVIDENCE to examine, just Schiffty meeting in a broom closet in the basement. It's OK Schiffty, you can come out of the closet. Trump's supporters have NO supported allegations, just the Left's narrative. Schiffty now has the audacity to say the "whistleblower" doesn't need to testify. The person who kicked this all off is now somehow unimportant. This person is unimportant only because his "evidence" is all hearsay sour grapes and has all fallen apart. The dems are tired of looking stupid when they push their latest baloney so they are protecting any exposure of fact. They now have a fact free accusation and they see nothing wrong with that.

How can the substance of the allegations be challenged when they are secret? Pelosi and the House democrats have never taken a vote of the full House to initiate an impeachment inquiry and define its scope and rules to be followed. This is a violation of precedent established in the Nixon and Clinton impeachment inquiries and is a process that is a fishing expedition and grossly unfair. Every American has a Constitutional right to due process, even a sitting president. House Democrats have conducted secret hearings where the accused, the president's counsel, and even Republican members of Congress are not allowed to know what is said. Pelosi and Schiff are acting like dictators. Americans must not sit idly by and allow this corrupt process to continue.

The once highly respected Associated Press (AP) is now just a Democrat mouthpiece. They make no attempt to report the news. They do a good job of 'reporting' the Democrat Party talking points.

Well, of course. He has committed no crimes. There are no facts to justify what Schiff & Co are trying to do to him. He is a victim of a very insidious process. AP should be ashamed. But that’s not ever apt to happen. They know - especially with the announcements today about the Barr-Durham investigation now being criminal - that they must pull out all stops. It is a race for them to prove something before the Barr-Durham juggernaut hits them… This will be a rugged time. PDJT is up to it. So are we. "Don’t go all wobbly.” (Margaret Thatcher)

The star chamber investigation is predicated on proving there was something wrong with the conversation between Trump and Zelensky. Both parties to the call have publicly stated unequivocally that nothing discussed was a request for any investigation just an agreement to cooperate to uncover corruption related to the 2016 election. No court would ever consider such a case because it does not violate any law. The process that is being played out in Congress is a shameful illegal farce that diminishes our Constitution and violates the most basic tenets of determining the truth. To cynically attack the President's defenders for resisting this assault on his rights is like complaining about the screaming when a woman is being raped.

This article is pure tripe, written by mindless droids operating as one part of the propaganda wing of the Democrat party. They are definitely not journalists and know only what the Democrats tell them to know because apparently they are incapable of critical thinking or of actually digging for the truth.

Everyone is correct to state that there is no evidence that the president has committed a crime; however, impeachment is entirely political, so focusing on judicial process is a non-starter because it is up to the House to impeach and up to the Senate to either remove or retain. Chief Justice Roberts will be nothing but a moderator and there is no appeal, except to the People to enforce their will, if a collective will counter to impeachment can be summoned. I think the president has been ill served by those he has retained to help him guide his administration and to deal with this impeachment/lynching fiasco. The current trajectory - or at least the media narrative, which is relentlessly driving toward impeachment without significant push-back - is not looking good as far as the president even getting to his re-election bid. If he is removed from office, it will be ugly for Normal Americans.

Morons, IT IS NOT AN IMPEACHMENT INVESTIGATION. What is it with these lying thick headed lefty types. An Impeachment Investigation begins with a vote in the house, no vote not Impeachment Investigation. An Impeachment Investigation is in the Justice committee not the half dozen or so fishing expeditions the house is carrying out in secret with one side only present are just PR opportunities for the shill's in the MSM as the illegally release select driblets of info.

President Donald Trump's business is back in the spotlight. Less than a week after the President reversed course on his plan to host next year's G-7 at his Trump National Doral Miami in Florida, reports surfaced that his company plans to sell its DC Hotel, which has been the subject of several lawsuits alleging the President is profiting from it in violation of the Constitution. Trump's defense is that he says he's put his business "stuff" in a trust and that his family runs it. As of 2018, the President held more than $130 million in foreign assets in this trust, according to an analysis compiled by Open Secrets.

For decades, Republicans and Democrats fought over the same things: whose values and policies work best for American democracy. But now, those age-old fights are changing. What was once run-of-the-mill partisan competition is being replaced by a disagreement over democracy itself. This is particularly evident as the president and many of his allies crow about the illegitimacy of the House impeachment inquiry, calling it an attempted coup, and as the White House refuses to comply with multiple congressional subpoenas as part of the probe. This marks a new phase in American politics. Democrats and Republicans might still disagree about policy,

President Trump deserves credit for mentioning the names of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's American victims at the Sunday press conference following his death, said CNN host Jake Tapper.  Al-Baghdadi, who took over as the head of ISIS after his predecessor, Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, was killed in 2010, detonated a suicide vest as U.S. special forces closed in. Troops were sent to attack a compound in northern Syria where al-Baghdadi was located, according to a U.S. defense official.

After two years, President Trump's tax cuts are not on track to pay for themselves, the latest Treasury data released Friday suggest. Total federal government revenues ended up lower in 2019 than was projected before the passage of the GOP tax overhaul in 2017. Then, in 2017, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office projected that fiscal 2019 revenues, without the tax cuts, would be $3.69 trillion. Instead, revenues with the tax cuts were only $3.46 trillion.

President Donald Trump can certainly take a victory lap for the operation that killed the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Prior to his death, Baghdadi had declared ISIS a "caliphate," as his terrorist army stormed across Syria and Iraq, seizing territory the size of Portugal and ruling over some 8 million subjects. At Trump's Sunday news conference, he said the ISIS leader was also personally responsible for the death of American aid worker Kayla Mueller. This appears to be the first official US acknowledgment of Baghdadi's role in her death, as ISIS had claimed that she had died in a Jordanian airstrike in 2015.

As we reported two days ago, Joe Biden completely made no sense when he was trying to explain the Wuhan coronavirus relief bill. It was really bad and it explains why they’re afraid to have him deliver an address to Congress or do any kind of a real solo press conference, because at this point they have to be afraid this is all going to fall apart if he does anything live and this all becomes too obvious to the American people. But there’s only so long that they can hold this off. And it’s getting worse, as video today revealed. Biden was holding an event to announce the nomination

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
