Tim Morrison, the top Russia and Europe adviser on President Trump’s National Security Council, on Thursday corroborated the testimony of a senior U.S. diplomat who last week offered House impeachment investigators the most detailed account to date for how Trump tried to use his office to pressure Ukraine to investigate former vice president Joe Biden, according to people familiar with his deposition.
Morrison told impeachment investigators that the account offered by William B. Taylor Jr., the acting ambassador to Ukraine, is accurate. He said that he alerted Taylor to a push by Trump and his deputies to withhold both security

You have a choice. To believe what they think they heard or read the transcript. I read it and see nothing wrong with it.

From another article that was posted:
The White House’s top official for European affairs told Congress on Thursday that he was not concerned that “anything illegal” was discussed during the July 25 phone call between President Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart that is at the center of Democrats’ impeachment inquiry.“I want to be clear, I was not concerned that anything illegal was discussed,” the official, Timothy Morrison, said in an opening statement reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.
And, Vindman was concerned with all the people poking around Ukraine, presumably because they were looking into what happened in prior administrations, both in US and Ukraine. Also, presume that they may uncover the corruption, and election interference that was to benefit Hillary.

Right I’m totally gonna believe the same folks that mourned the loss of “learned Muslim scholar” Al Baghdadi.
Cause beheading, torturing and burning people alive is well, scholarly.

Lies.
I read the transcript. It is entirely irrelevant what this puke THINKS, or what his OPINION is. The facts are known.
The transcript "Trumps" all their damned lies, idiot opinions and fake "learned interpretations".
Drop dead. Not buying your lies.
We have the transcript.

His testimony is nothing more than a policy disagreement between the Department of State and the NSC. There has always been tension between State and the NSC, but Schiff is selling it and the WaPo is buying it as an argument for impeachment.

#9 is correct on tension between NSC and State. The exception to that was Henry Kissinger, who held both positions - Secretary of State and National Security Adviser, simultaneously during Nixon's second term. It was a demand he made to stay on for the second term.

I am amazed at the amount of people who worked IN the White House and who are now throwing away their Career by letting the Democrats use them. It's clear that Trump didn't do anything wrong, but Schiff is trying to make a Silk Purse out of a Sow's Ear by twisting every testimony he gets. This guy was stupid for giving up a good job just to get his name on TV!

There is a reason the telephone game is such fun. It shows that second and third hand hearsay of someone's opinion is unreliable and should not be used to determine facts in a case. The facts are that the Ukrainian President Zelensky was asked to cooperate with the US Attorney General investigation of corruption related to the 2016 attempt to smear Trump. He was not even aware that any aid was pending so there could not be anything improper about the request. Trump was aware of the previously published articles on Biden's bribery to force the firing of the prosecutor and had also seen what Giuliani had received from the Ukrainian officials on Biden. The information was acquired before Biden was even a candidate so it didn't pertain to the 2020 election in any way. If Trump was going to use the evidence against Biden he didn't need the Ukrainians to do anything.

I am fed up with this quid pro quo nonsense. WaPo believes in quid pro quo or they would give their papers away and not expect a payment in return. I do not buy the quid pro quo premise and think it should be thrown down the drain.

Trump could name hundreds of incidents where Presidents did pro quo, it’s part of government. Even if he wanted an investigation of Biden , Biden was not running in 2016 so Biden was not his opponent in 2016. This is about the Obama years & the dems are making it about 2020. If Mueller had done a complete investigation instead of a one sided investigation Trump wouldn’t need to be investigating.
