TAMPA — The boy was 11 when the sexual abuse started. The abuser was his family’s 22-year-old live-in nanny.
She sexually assaulted him at least 15 times over several months, according to prosecutors. In the fall of 2014, she gave birth to his child. Three years passed before the boy had the courage to tell his mother what happened.
On Wednesday, the now 17-year-old father sat in a courtroom to watch Marissa Mowry sentenced to 20 years in prison for what she did to him. She must also complete 10 years of sex offender probation upon her release from prison.

It is weird that the writer will not name the victim because he is underage, then proceeds to name the mother, by full name, multiple times n the article. We now know the mother’s name and his age and gender. Not much of a secret who he is.

I guess we could have psychological testing of nannies or we can RAISE OUR OWN CHILDREN. Our culture frightens me sometimes.

Johnson's Great Society saw to it that we'd stop raising our own families. The consequences of the assault on the American family are immeasurable.

That is criminal and IMHO she should get more time than what she was sentenced.
She involved 2 babies...the one who fathered her child along with the child. She condemned two people to a life of confusion and many years of psychiatric need. Who does this? SATAN!! I hope for the child's sake he/she is adopted out to a loving home.

I realize the boy is looking after his child, but I think it would have been better to have adopted the baby out. Maybe then the 11 year old father may have gotten back some of his childhood.

So what happens to his 5 yr old child?
If he was capable, he was ready. The only trauma for this kid is that which society placed upon him. If it was truly traumatic, he would not have been capable of penetration, let alone ejaculation.
No harm - no foul!

The inevitable consequence of the women's movement and general acceptance of sexual immorality. Women are now, increasingly, child predators.

#9's response appalls me. An 11-year-old's body might be ready, but his emotional development certainly is not. He was probably wracked with guilt and misunderstood his nanny's intentions. Who knows what lies she told him and the turmoil he has gone through.
It is wrong to say that he was not harmed, even if his body's natural instincts and hormones may have won out.

#9? You really must be leaning on your own understanding of things because it makes no sense. He was 11 years old. Maybe you should pick up a Bible and read it. God tells us how He feels regarding sexuality.

#9 obviously did not look at the picture of the sexual predator. Being forced to have sex with that would scar a boy for life even if he was older.

When I was 11 I was still sneaking looks at my dad's Playboys and not really knowing what I was looking at, but knowing I liked it. It was a more innocent time; before women mutilated themselves with tattoos and piercings and went nuts with the razor. If someone had been this forthcoming I think I would have run away in fear.
A lesbian friend half my age tells me her only experience with a male she was 9 and he 11. Consentual, but way too young to make the choice. I occasionally wonder if that contributed to her choices later.

But, but, she is a woman!!! According to the lie-berals, we must believe her!!!!
She is clearly the "victim" in all this!!! That evil 11-year-old male person (at least until he picks his own gender down the road) had to have been the perpetrator -- solely because he is a pre-man!!!! She said so, and the lie-berals tell us we have to believe women (unless they are conservative Christian women, then they are all liars)!!! //sarcasm off
Yeah, I'm getting the hang of spewing insanity like a lie-beral!!!! This would be fun, if it wasn't so sick, evil, and demented!!!!!

In 1955, I was 11. Had no idea what intercourse was. Today's popular culture and morals have gone KAPOOT. Tragically sad.

We are led to believe that the father is the main keeper of the boy. I find that hard to believe. Grandma surely has to be the main provider and guardian of the 5 year old. The 17 year old may be a great "big brother" but I don't believe he is the main man--no mention of grandpa.

If he was capable, he was ready? I don't think so. He certainly wasn't ready to be a father.

When I was living in Europe, I knew a man who was seduced by his governess at the age of 12, and had two children with her at age 13 and 15. The parents adored her, accepted her as their daughter, and blessed their marriage. By the time he was 21, he had had three children and two divorces. After that, no marriages or children until he was past 50, when he remarried and started a second family. Now an octogenarian, he is on good terms with all five of his children. Perhaps cultural differences account for the way this situation turned out.

If this crime occurred in San Francisco and both parties, the perpetrator and the victim, were both females or males they would have been praised with the perpetrator not facing prosecution. That’s the Congressional District that plastic face Pelosi represents.

#3 I agree. Easy to track down. How long before a reporter shows up at his school ?
Seems like we moved from 'Florida Man' to Florida Woman. Sorry, but that child should have been put up for adoption to avoid the drama for the rest of his life.
It's sickening how many women are involved with children including school teachers. One teacher in Osceola County brought a boy into their home and had sex while the family was there.
