Events on the Turkish-Syrian border revealed how fragile the security arrangements of the last century have become. The Kurdish crisis rapidly became a Turkish/NATO one as Ankara's offensive penetrated deeper than expected, precipitating a potential rupture with the U.S. and some European countries.
The administration responded to the invasion by threatening targeted sanctions against Turkey in coordination with Congress. The NATO dimension was underscored by a New York Times report that "over the weekend, State and Energy Department officials were quietly reviewing plans for evacuating roughly 50 tactical nuclear weapons that the United States had long stored, under American control, at Incirlik Air Base."

We have been doing the preponderance of the bleeding on their behalf long enough while simultaneously getting the short end on trade. And for good measure they are rather fond of lecturing to us regarding our faults.
That said keep in mind Europe is full of normals but are dominated by leftist radicals. We need to figure out how to unite the normals of the Western world because the left us sure as hell united against us.

The ONLY order the world has really known has been the Bretton-Woods agreement that the US provided to it's friends and allies after WWII. The USA agreed to insure the Freedom of the Seas with the US Navy. Everyone could sail anywhere, buy raw materials, sail back and turn them into finished goods. And, they could export them to the USA. This ORDER allowed countries to export themselves into prosperity. And, they did not have to build their own navies to do it. And, they only reason the USA did this for FREE was to force people to join our side against the USSR.
Now, it's over. It cost too much in US blood, treasure and jobs. And, the USSR is dead.
Look for countries to revert to neo-Colonialism as they search for ways to safeguard their vital raw materials.
Right now, China only has 30 ships that can even sail to the Middle East. They need many, many more to protect their Oil routes if they want to remain a major manufacturer.
Look for 3rd world countries to face general degrading of trading opportunities.

The EU countries will do nothing to support a military in the respective countries as long as they can get Uncle Sugar to pick up the tab. But, they still reserve the right to control what role NATO will play in Europe.
When PDJT says we will get our troops home, it should include withdrawing from the NATO alliance. It's time for the Euroweenies to own their own military costs, and decide on what defensive posture they wish to assume.

Isn't it likely that this exposure of Turkey as a threat is EXACTLY what Trump wanted to happen. Turkey has become an Islamic thugocracy. We CANNOT do business with them or treat them as a partner in NATO. If push comes to shove and the US, who pays 70% of NATO's defense spending, says "Boot Turkey out or we won't participate.", what choice will the other countries have? Without the US, there is no NATO.

We need to get the nuclear weapons out of Turkey, and quit subsidizing European socialism.

The inclusion of Turkey into NATO made some sense when Turkey had been run by strong secularists who were actively suppressing Islam, keeping it only as a religion, not the all-encompassing Borg-like top-to-bottom powerful, controlling life system that it normally is.
Now, with an Islamist unleashing the true horrors of Islam, there can be no continuing trust of Turkey. Islam is fundamentally incompatible with any modern, free society, especially a Judeo-Christian society.
Write off Turkey, lost back to Islam's evil. Pretty predictable, actually. Turkey partially escaped the clutches of Islam for about a century, but is slipping back, and there is little or nothing we can do from the outside.

I'd like to know who leaked this information. The person that did this should be punished for releasing top secret information about nuclear weapons quantity and storage. I have been on foreign bases that had nuclear weapons but talk about the weapons was prohibited except in secure locations.

The thing about Turkey is location. It is /was ( I have zero current knowledge) home to a number of listening posts. It's wouldn't surprise me if many of the former USSR Satellite states now host posts making Turkey obsolete, but I would hope so.
Point is, it's not just nukes being housed there. (Again, or at least WAS)

Nukes are probably already gone, or have the important internals pulled.
