Let's add John Bolton to the list of people whom democrats used to hate, but now love. George W. Bush, Mitt Romney, John McCain, the list goes on. The only thing those people have in common is hating or disagreeing with President Trump.

This is the Compost. Take it with a grain of salt. I don't believe John Bolton is that type of person. He may have disagreed with the President on foreign policy - so much so he had to resign. But I don't believe he would sabotage this Administration at our country's expense.

Amazing to me how people on here are so ready to believe anything put out by the corrupt media or this woman. Admitedly, I have no idea if Bolton is guilty of what Hill has claimed, but much of it doesn't sound like anything I have ever heard from him. But so many are ready to say he is guilty based on the claims of a very suspect individual.

I hope that Bolton is able to put his personal feelings aside and not provide more fodder for the Democrats to use against Trump. Doesn't he remember when they blocked his nomination to the UN? They don't love him; they just want to use him.

Its hard to fathom why Bolton would have any interest in the Ukraine investigation. He was not privy to any of the Obama manipulations of their government but may have followed what they were doing and supported it in some way. The incident that stands out is the effort by the Obama administration to prevent Dmitry Firtash from returning to his home in Ukraine where he was a charismatic and respected leader among the pro Russian minority there. US representatives tried to force the Ukrainian prosecutor, Vicktor Shokin, to fabricate evidence against Firtash so that he would be subject to arrest if he decided to return. When Shokin refused to violate the law and his oath of office the Obama folks spread rumors in the press that he was corrupt for not doing their bidding. Shokin was vindicated by his superiors in the court who agreed with his position. He was also investigating Burisma at this time for illegal practices where Hunter Biden was on the board. VP Joe Biden used the false corruption rumors as cover to have him fired in exchange for a $1B bribe to the Ukrainian government. Bolton may simply believe that any pro Russian Ukrainian sympathizer should be prosecuted regardless of evidence in the best interest of US foreign policy and didn't want to allow a new investigation to potentially expose the Obama administration's bullying efforts to prevent Firtash's return.

On Sunday, Dallas Cowboys fans witnessed the latest ignominy of the Jason Garrett era. The team suffered its third consecutive loss, forcing a reckoning in its identity from “probable playoff team and Super Bowl hopeful” to “just one game better than the hapless New York Giants.” And while the previous two losses happened against good teams, Sunday’s defeat at the hands of the previously winless New York Jets means that Dallas has no excuses left. Football is a team sport, and there’s plenty of blame to go around in this loss—but if you’re looking for a key target, head coach Jason Garrett is your guy. Here’s a video of Cowboys defenders

Beto O’Rourke, I do believe, is a psychopath. Let me explain. First, we must admit the evident. O’Rourke, spectacularly privileged by every measure, boasts an unspectacular political career. City councilor, sometime congressman, he offers little of anything notable, at least by way of accomplishment. Except, of course, for himself; jumping earnestly from one platform to another, he is, at the very least, a virtuoso opportunist, a character trait he likely imbibed in utero. Failed, though, as a candidate for the Senate (we Texans might be right-wingers, but we are not dumb), he will soon undoubtedly be a double political failure. Polling just under 2%,

Each fall, the major British parties hold their annual conferences. This year, Labour Party apparatchiks descended on Brighton, while the Tories went north, to Manchester. These jamborees come with predictable features: an aging core of loyal members, slogan tee shirts and badges, and, at the end, a speech from the party leader—in the case of the Tories, Prime Minister Boris Johnson—or from the man who wants his job—in the case of Labour, Jeremy Corbyn. Beyond the outward signs of business as usual, this year’s conference season confirmed just how far British politics has veered from normal. Labour’s conference was interrupted by news that the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom

I cannot wait to learn more about the identity and motives of the secret whistleblower who figures so prominently in stories of Trump’s phone call with the newly elected Ukrainian president. The narrative that began a month ago, as an insider’s accusation of Trump’s threat to cut off U.S. military aid unless investigations were launched into his expected opponent Joe Biden, has evolved considerably. It now appears — in spite of initial denials — that the whistleblower consulted with House Intelligence Committee (HIC) staff before filing his complaint — and was advised immediately to obtain counsel. Somehow, the chosen counsel was part of a whistleblower search organization,

The northern snakehead is a long, blotchy-patterned fish that can breathe on land and travel on the ground by wriggling its slippery body. But those might not be the species’ most nightmarish qualities. Snakeheads have a voracious appetit; they've been known to chow down not only on other fish, but also crustaceans, reptiles, mammals and small birds. They are invasive to the United States, threatening to displace native species and upset the balance of aquatic ecosystems. The fish have been reported in more than a dozen states across the nation and, as Christine Hauser reports for the New York Times, they have now been found

Given his low and static polling, it’s hard to tell what, exactly, Beto O’Rourke hopes to accomplish by staying in the presidential race. But while his actual goal seems a bit elusive, he is increasingly playing a very specific role: the human straw man, the embodiment of every seemingly irrational conservative fear about what the left really wants. Consider O’Rourke’s appearance at Thursday’s CNN town hall on LGBTQ issues, at which he told moderator Don Lemon that churches and other nonprofits should lose their tax exempt status if they oppose same-sex marriage, a position tantamount to declaring war on Catholic parishes and evangelical congregations across the country, not to mention

There is no easier way to make the left mad than being a gay Republican. This time, it’s the Stonewall Democratic Club that’s up in arms. Stonewall is a group of LGBT Democrats who purport to champion “equality for all.” You wouldn’t know this from their record. Bill Clinton signed the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and Don’t Ask Don’t Tell (DADT) during his first term. These acts outlawed gay marriage and military service for openly LGBT soldiers, respectively. It took 20 years to undo that codified discrimination. But Stonewall endorsed Clinton for reelection in 1996 anyway.
