California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom signed 15 gun-related bills into law Friday, tightening the state's already-stringent Second Amendment restrictions.
One of the bills, which expands a so-called "red flag" law to allow co-workers, employers and educators to seek gun violence restraining orders against firearms owners they fear are a danger to themselves and others, was vetoed twice by Newsom's predecessor, Jerry Brown.
Newsom also signed a companion bill allowing the gun violence restraining orders to last one and five years, although the gun owners could petition to end those restrictions earlier. The bill also allows judges to issue search warrants at the same time as they grant the orders.

2nd amendment rights? Illegal search and seizure? Any other rights they are taking away? Kalifornia is now the proper spelling for this police state! When does the revolution start?

Gavin just might get that call to run for president. He's hastening Cali's demise; he could do the same, in short order, to the rest of the country.

And all the lemmings who were environmentally friendly installed solar panels in their homes. NOW they are discovering that without a battery system the Solar Panels are just protection from bird doo!

Interesting that one of the bills puts gun confiscation in the hands of "co-workers, employers and educators " who tend to be unionized clones, politicly progressive, hate guns, hate people who like guns, and hate anything to do with "unalienable rights".
Funny, though, but, still no knife control laws in Kalifornia. Assault knives are still ok?

When you let commies cheat and gain power, this is what you get. These 'laws', just like the nfopa86, gca68 and nfa34 are unconstitutional, no matter what their creatures on the courts say. Too many 'citizens' don't grasp that they are in charge, not their hirelings. But they would have to band together to take back control and they don't seem to have the stomach for that. Too many 'bread and circuses' moments so far.

As a citizens of California we have decided to take the example set by our "elected" leaders. If the state can declare themselves a "sanctuary" and not follow federal immigration law, we have declared our homestead a "sanctuary" against those state laws with which we disagree. However, the pity is TK's weapons were all lost in that boating accident on Clear Lake.

California is a cautionary tale for the rest of the country, exemplifying what would happen if the Electoral College is eliminated. The vast majority of the counties in California are conservative, but are overwhelmed by the huge population centers. The result? Gavin Newsome and the communist legislature.

Basically any one ... a nosy neighbor, an angry ex-boy or girl friend, any jilted lover of either sex, former marriage partners, teachers, co-workers, etc. can file a complaint and "red flag" you. You will need to turn over your weapons while appealing that "red flag" call ... which will take years and cost a small fortune. Have an argument over sports teams? You're a threat. Walked your dog past my house? A red flag for you! Your kid pushed my kid (according to my kid, of course) and I throw down the foul flag against you! Complained your pizza arrived late and cold? Guess what?
How anyone can vote Democrat escapes me. It has to be a mental disease.

Time will tell if they went 14 laws too far. That tree of liberty in California hasn't had a drink since Gov. Reagan ran the State.

After living happily in California for most of my life, I'm finally leaving. I'm currently in Northern California visiting family on my way out. What I see up here is almost apocalyptic. Smoke from forest fires everywhere. Massive swarms of cars and people like wasp nests kicked over. And unbelievably, here in the United States, in the 21st century, the power turned off. For days, not hours.
It's the opening scene of Blade Runner come to life. Or maybe soon, Hunger Games.
Keep an eye on this situation. If anything can jolt the low information voters who keep voting for these cult-like neocommunists, it's the bolt of reality that hits you when you have to dump the rotting food in your dead freezer or knowing that your way cool Tesla is now a giant brick in your driveway.
California is now a demonstration state for the awesome Green New Deal. It's the first stage of showing how it will be when the state utility decides to protect Gaia by shutting down the power grid.
Their plan to take away all the guns just may be a little late...according to many comments I heard at one closed gas station.
Goodbye my once beloved, California.

This is what happens when the voters allow a super majority of Rat legislators to exist. The populace cuts their own throats and are oblivious to the bleeding going on.

Tyrants will always try to confiscate the people's arms (guns) so that they are made defenseless against the tyrants.
That was the reason the British "Red Coats" were sent to Concord and Lexington in 1775 -- to confiscate the colonial American's arms.
And, concerned that the United States government could someday become tyrannical, is why the Founding Fathers put the Second Amendment in the Constitution.
Californians need to be concerned. And, the rest of us need to wake up.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't California release a few thousand convicted felons from prison earlier this year before their sentences were up?
