Within hours of suffering chest pains Tuesday night, Bernie Sanders had stents inserted to relieve the blockage in an artery. He’s lucky. Because if Sanders lived under “Medicare for All,” things likely would not have gone as well.
Sanders, along with every other Democrat pushing “Medicare for All” and its variants, constantly bleat about how the U.S. spends far more on health care but gets worse results than countries such as Canada or the U.K. But the quality measures – infant mortality and longevity – are notoriously unreliable for international comparisons.
Infant mortality rates depend on how countries measure them, and longevity has more to do with things like

Oh, Bernie's not worried. "Medicare for All" wouldn't apply to him anyway. In his power grubbing fantasy, he owns everything and everybody. He's a god. Somewhere and at sometime in his life he concluded that he deserves it all.

Indeed, #1. In the old Soviet Union, there were doctors and operating rooms ready to go for Politburo members at a moment's notice. And then time off to recuperate at your dacha.

Too bad they didn't make him wait 6 months or so like they do in Canada? I guess that's the way it is there. or so I've read?

Isn't the medical care in Cuba exceptional? Sanders should go there. At least there will be warm (humid) sunny weather for recuperation.

#4 - I’ve been to Cuba, and saw a real clinic away from the propaganda. Their only medicine was a Chinese herb that could be used to treat just about anything.
I would find it highly entertaining to see anyone on the left try to use the real Cuban medical system.

Crazy Bernie issued a statement praising the skills of the doctors who handled his heart problem. I doubt if he is capable of seeing the irony in that.
If his emergency had taken place while on his honeymoon in Moscow (that's where he and his financial genius wife went!) he probably would have been Dead Bernie.
Was Lady Lucifer celebrating yesterday? Has she contacted Omar the Tent Maker for a new wardrobe??

No. 6 has it right. I've never heard of a pol of any stripe suggesting that elected officials should live with the same "benefits" they want for the voters.

fta: "A 1995 study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology found that no patients needing an urgent coronary angiography test – used to reveal artery blockages – received one within 24 hours in Canada or the U.K., whereas 65% did in the U.S. Nearly two-thirds of Canadians and 94% of Brits had to wait more than three days.
The same study found that while 80% of urgent coronary bypass operations occurred within 24 hours in the U.S., only 24% did in Canada and 10% in the U.K.
The situation has not improved in either country since then. "
We never hear about these facts when the Democrat socialist presidential candidates are debating. Now if we only had an honest media to ask tough questions ......

One of the things I find interesting in all of this is that no one in the enemedia or in Bernie’s campaign is admitting the obvious - he didn’t suffer chest pains or chest discomfort - he had a full blown heart attack! Just like PIAPS’ collapse on 9/11/16 was due to “dehydration” instead of some sort of seizure. Lies, lies and more lies.
Now, every time Bernie holds a rally or gives a speech, everyone will be waiting to see if he drops dead at the podium. Neither of those two is healthy enough to run for president much less be president.

How many people's care was pushed aside so Bernie could be pushed to the front of the line?

Gramps needs to get out of politics and enjoy the rest of his radical liberal life. With a medical condition like this one, he'll go nowhere in politics.

I recall the book/movie the Hunt for Red October where the rogue Russian Submarine Captain, played by Sean Connery decided to desert his Russian authorities and head the Red October towards the coast of North Carolina to freedom. The reason was his wife died in because the Russian hospital didn't have the appropriate medication and supplies and to keep her alive from a minor condition.

2nd post apologies, but #10 is probably correct.
VP Dick Cheney, at the very beginning of his taking office, was taken to the hospital in D.C., had a stent inserted, and went back to work that day.
Crazy Bernie may very well have a much more serious condition.

Bernie may be covered by Medicare, but it is not the same Medicare you or I would receive. He was operated upon within hours of experiencing his medical problem. The average wait time for an operation is weeks if not longer.

Why don't we test medicare for congress for a few years and see how they like it compared to their gold plated plan? And while we are at it lets make sure they have to used it by making private plans for them and their immediate families illegal.

We had very good friends who moved to the UK in the 80's. His comment about the NHS was that it was great if you were bleeding from the neck but other than that get in line. And that was then you can imagine what it is now. Reading the horror stories in the UK press should make people realize what a disaster it is but our press chooses to ignore reality and go with the Potemkin village hospitals that the communists have produced. Why haven't any of these stars that keep telling us how great these socialist systems are retire to one of them. Sean Penn? Why aren't you living in Venezuela? How about the rest of you nitwits? Cuban beaches are calling. I notice that they all talk a good game but the fact is even though they can afford to move they ain't goin' nowhere, nohow. Liars and thieves the whole lot of them Bernie in particular stealing from the gullible followers to fund his three houses and his upscaled lifestyle. The man has not had a real job in his entire life, no wonder he espouses communism.
