I now make my living by releasing short videos on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. I assumed you who subscribed to my feed or became Facebook "friends" would receive that video every Tuesday. Wrong! Turns out social media companies send our posts to only some of our friends. (That's why I ask for your email address. Then they can't cut us off.) Why might they cut us off? One reason is that we'd drown in a fire hose of information if they showed us everything. The companies' algorithms cleverly just send us what the computer determines we'll like.

This is Facebook's $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ scam. I have a Facebook page with over 4,000 likes. When I make a new short post (three lines or less) they helpfully tell me that they are going to deliver it to 6 - SIX - of the people who have liked my page. I don't think that's what the people who liked the page expected to have happen. BUT they will cheerfully deliver it to 864 of those people a day for a few days, if I pay them $30. How many million people are paying the robber baron's toll? I do from time to time. So Al Gore built the information superhiway, and Facebook builds toll booths on it. Facebook could ask the user when they like the page if they want to see all or just occasional posts, but that would end the million dollar racket.

I do not want things sent to me. I support only things that I have historically clicked on being sent to me. Otherwise, I would be getting swamped with leftist propaganda that I do not like.

John Stossel tells truths. I am completely 'shawdow-banned' on MYtube. No one can read my 'original content' there...but they have yet to eliminate my 'commenting' on other LEFTIST TURDs allowed to spew their smelly steamy piles of male bovine feces, but not I...I am somewhat comforted that I have no other 'social (anti-social in reality) media' connections and will not. It is good to be OLD today...wisdom is wasted on the youth of this new century.

Rush Limbaugh has been saying this for years. Do not rely on social media for your listeners/readers. He has never used it. I always totally agreed. I teach web stuff and I have never been a fan of social media. Privacy issues were my main concern. I did not see the censoring coming. Appalling, yet not surprising.

Take a look at John Stossel's own website and look for this short vid: https://www.johnstossel.com/the-creepy-line/ What you see and hear from the media is being parsed out while keeping ALL of the facts FROM you Case in point: Talk show host Joe Pags has well over 400,000 followers--people HE got to like his page, and almost nobody gets his posts that he sends out anymore!!! Pags brought in all that business for Fakebook to plunder with adds and he can virtually no longer reach his audience. While he still has a presence on Fakebook, he has moved on to Parler, a competitor. We have been literally used as a pyramid scheme to sell out our contacts with our 'friends' to make suckers out of ourselves to make Zuck rich while losing contact with our own friends by means of an 'algorithm' that takes only allows contact with a CERTAIN FEW of our 'friends' The "Masters of the Universe" as they say on Breitbart are trying to minimize contact with conservative voices having time to turn the election into a socialist campaign AGAINST us! John Stossel has always been unbiased and common sense based looking at all sides, and now they are coming out against HIM!

A charity event planned in honor of an officer killed in a 2018 mass shooting at a country music bar in in Southern California has been postponed indefinitely -- reportedly because a police chief didn't want Republicans invited. The Blue Bowl, a charity flag football game, was intended to raise money for the family of fallen Ventura County Sgt. Ron Helus as well as other officers killed in the line of duty, FOX 11 of Los Angeles reported. Helus died last Nov. 7, when a 28-year-old suspect allegedly attacked the Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks, killing a total of 13 people and wounding about a dozen others.

Leftist conspiracy-monger Adam Schiff was aware of select details of the Ukraine-Biden allegations against President Donald Trump before a lying CIA snitch reportedly involved in the case filed a complaint under a whistleblower law, according to the intermittently reliable New York Times. It has been widely reported that the CIA official’s complaint was based on a July 25 telephone conversation between Trump and Ukrainian President Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the said stoolie somehow learned about. Rep. Schiff is the California Democrat, now the laughably unqualified chairman of the House

Former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger was sentenced on Wednesday to serve 10 years in prison for the fatal 2018 killing of an innocent man she shot when she mistakenly entered his apartment believing it was her own. But in a remarkable act of kindness, the brother of the victim took the witness stand and spoke directly to Guyger, saying, "I love you like anyone else," and later hugged her in the courtroom before she was led off to prison. The Dallas County jury reached a unanimous decision on the sentence just before 4 p.m. Central Standard Time, after deliberating for a little over an hour.

Need a good laugh? On Tuesday, Obama's former attorney general, Eric Holder, who ran the most politicized Department of Justice in history, accused current Attorney General Bill Barr of "cross[ing] the political line." “I think the attorney general needs to be a little bit more sensitive to the appearance that that gives. You have to not only be substantively neutral, you have to appear to be neutral when you’re the attorney general of the United States. I fear he has crossed the political line.” Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. This is the same guy who, as attorney general, obstructed

It's been more than 2 years since the Belmont Club article predicting a political showdown after the election of Donald Trump was written. Since then its scenario of top rival American politicians trying to jail each other has become an actual possibility. "Will impeaching Trump lead to indictments of Obama and Biden over Ukraine?" says an article in the Spectator. Rudy Giuliani asks. 'Shouldn't Biden be investigated over Ukraine if Trump can be impeached over it?' Hillary's in the mix too. "As President Donald Trump's presidency is threatened by an impeachment inquiry, the Republican chairmen of two Senate

It turns out, as Rush Limbaugh noted in a recent broadcast, that the “whistleblower” is a CIA person detailed to the White House. Likely a holdover from Obama, he is John Brennan’s man. When Obama left office, he left in place a mechanism designed to lead to Trump’s impeachment: The revelations of the intel community about Russian collusion with the incoming president. Now that those are debunked by the very prosecutor hired to prove them, this same crowd, these same folks, have shifted their emphasis to the Ukraine scandal. The allegation is that Trump used his official power to induce Ukraine to investigate

If I were a Democrat, I would be afraid, I would be very afraid, after reading former Attorney General Michael Mukasey's Monday WSJ oped: "John Durham's Ukrainian Leads." The subtitle is "What the prosecutor has found may be quite different from what the Democrats are looking for." Mukasey begins: "Americans often boast that we are a nation of laws, but for the moment laws appear to play a decidedly secondary role in the drama we are living in and—hopefully—through " True enough, but the nub of the article, which returns us to the rule of law, comes further on:

CLEARWATER — For an elected body, the Downtown Development Board’s power goes only so far. It does not have authority to pass city ordinances or hire and fire staff. Its influence lies in helping shape how the world sees downtown. Its $267,000 operating budget, funded through a special tax on downtown property owners, is spent on items like festivals and holiday lighting. But this modest, volunteer board could make history next month with what might be the first elected body comprised of a majority of members of the Church of Scientology, downtown’s largest property owner. The issues are familiar to the impoverished nation: food and fuel shortages, a mismanaged economy, and rampant corruption. But also driving the protests has been the government's response to several severe storms and hurricanes that have ravaged the island nation. Destroyed housing and businesses have not been rebuilt and the frustration of the people in their government's malfeasance and incompetence has boiled over. As usual, class envy has played a role in the violence. Al Jazaeera: "In the wealthier

NEW YORK—The master of the love letter to New York, E.B. White, eloquently described the city as a place that “can offer the gift of loneliness and the gift of privacy.” Like many of us he believed the place would last and would always matter. White was an optimist, sophisticated and thoroughly American. He was lucky to die in 1985. I say lucky because fate spared him from seeing the wreckage of what was once his dream city. It was also my dream place, an indelible part of my youth, a poem of steel and limestone majesty, of high-end shops, hotels, theaters, and nightclubs, of dandies and high-class women,

Chelsea Clinton’s current strategy for selling her latest book is to attack President Donald Trump. Chelsea previously got attention for replying to a tweet the president sent out calling the impeachment inquiry into his phone call with the Ukrainian president “the greatest scam in the history of American politics.”

The column opens by noting that “the criminal behavior to which Trump has admitted is much more grave than anything alleged or unearthed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, and much of what Mueller revealed was impeachable,” before outlining the specifics of the Ukraine scandal currently presenting an existential threat to his administration.

The great triumph of recent American politics is for the people of your fine country to have elected as president a man who is the precise embodiment of what supercilious Europeans think Americans are really like. Pig-ignorant, arrogant, jingoistic, contemptuous of foreigners, loud-mouthed, badly dressed and irredeemably bumptious. So consuming is the European antipathy toward Donald Trump — he’s never read a book! He eats steak with ketchup! — that it afflicts leading politicians across our continent, people who would be better advised to button it a while and show a little bit of diplomacy to the leader of the free world. But they can’t: the contempt always bleeds through.

"Have you heard from the whistleblower?" MSNBC contributor Sam Stein asked House intelligence committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) on September 17, nine days before the complaint was released to the public. "We have not spoken directly with the whistleblower," Schiff responded at the time, never mentioning that one of his committee staffers had directly spoken to the whistleblower -- and that the staffer "shared some of what the [whistleblower] conveyed" with Schiff, according to the New York Times. The New York Times says the staffer referred the whistleblower to a (Democrat-connected) attorney to help him file a formal complaint with the intelligence community inspector general.

First, it is likely that President Donald Trump violated some cockamamie administrative rule when he recently spoke with the new Ukrainian president about the potential corrupt dealings of former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, in Ukraine. Fine. Can’t Trump just pay a fine or something? Yes, he should’ve been more careful (and he needs to tell Rudy Giuliani to calm down, as the former mayor risks perjuring himself before not one, but three Congressional committees). What Trump did was the equivalent of going 15 mph over the speed limit in rural Georgia: it happens. Rarely does anyone notice. Ignorance is still not a viable legal defense.

For his part, Mr. Trump said Wednesday he was willing to go along with Democrats, but it’s not clear how far that cooperation will extend.
