Pope Francis celebrated the World Day of Migrants and Refugees in the Vatican Sunday, insisting on the “moral duty” to welcome the stranger with the compassion exhibited by God himself.
The Lord “upholds the stranger as well as the widow and the orphan among his people,” the pope said in his homily at morning Mass in St. Peter’s Square. “The Lord has a particular concern for foreigners, widows and orphans, for they are without rights, excluded and marginalized. This is why God tells the Israelites to give them special care.”
Citing the biblical book of Exodus, Francis said that the God

Born, baptized and educated by the catholic church, I have never heard that God is selective. You should resign as pope . But like all ultra liberals "that aint never goin to happen"

When the stranger/foreigner comes to rob you, rape your wife and daughters, and kill your neighbors, there is no moral duty to accept him with ''compassion!''
How about opening up the Vatican as a home for the strangers and foreigners? No exceptions!

Foreigners, widows and orphans are without rights? What century is this man living in? Or maybe he's thinking of some other religion's laws on the rights of women and infidels.

The Catholic and Presbyterian Church here have received megabucks from our US government for many years to take in illegals. They’re building new housing in red states and packing them in. Our citizens are living in old, dilapidated public housing. Look at West Virginia. The pope has a dog in this race.

This pope is an embarrassment to the Catholic Church. He does nothing to address the internal corruption in the Church but tries to make himself appear to be holy by claiming that the US and Europe are somehow required by God to open their borders to those who have already proven they don't want to assimilate. I guess if he accepts lawlessness in one area he expects it elsewhere?

While no fan of the Church, I have always given the Church credit for holding the western civilization together for the last 1000 years, and for its good works when it wasn't slaughtering anyone who disagreed with it. And while I vehemently disagree with the institution of the Pope, I have always been respectful of the popes in my lifetime.
It saddens me that one of the greatest global institutions is committing suicide and relegating itself to a laughing stock.

In God's eyes everyone is equal. It is Man than brings division. And Francis is just another man causing division. Francis has no business getting involved in foreign policy. Jesus said "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, and render unto God what is God's"

So, Holy Father, speaking with all due respect as a faithful practicing Roman Catholic: Please set the example, and open Vatican City to any and all, tearing down all walls and opening facilities for free access. Provide free comprehensive housing, food, medical services, and education to all migrants.
Otherwise, Holy Father, I urge you to focus on matters of faith and morals.

Boy does he need to reread his Bible. God had specific instructions regarding foreigners, such as keeping them out of your cities unless they obeyed the local laws and did not practice their idolatry within the city gates. God is very big on walls, and Francis will find that out when he sees the Holy City descending back to earth. He has not been right with the true God of the Universe ever. He tends to follow other littler gods in his daily life.
