A 12-year-old girl says three of her male classmates at a Virginia private school pinned her down and cut her dreadlocks, calling her hair “ugly” and “nappy.” The group of white sixth-grade boys ambushed Amari Allen during recess Monday, as she was about to use the slide on the playground at the Immanuel Christian School in Fairfax, Virginia, local outlets reported. “They said my hair was nappy and I was ugly,” Allen, who is African American, told News4. One of the boys covered Allen’s mouth and another held her hands behind her back, while the third cut her dreadlocks with a pair of scissors, she said.

#1, do you really think, yet another, outrageous “hate crime” that continues a necessary narrative of the left can’t be, yet another, hoax?

I find it odd that the playground was unsupervised to the point that three people assaulting another person was not noticed. I would be surprised if cameras were not available. I find it unusual that, from the picture, it seems only one braid was cut.

A sensational accusation indeed. Seems tailor made for Democrat's talking points. Almost too convenient. Remember the Covington HS boys? Smells the same here.

Let me guess...it will be "discovered" that Mrs. Pence was supposed to be on playground duty and was somehow neglectful in her duties.
Something isn't right here. I presume the slide was not hidden from view. Any such playground assault/disturbance would very quickly be surrounded by a bunch of curious kids...to at least video the action.

#1: I'm the poster. Of course I believe 12 yr/olds can be awful. The previous frauds perpetrated with nooses, MAGA attacks, kidnapping and the like, make everyone leery of rushing to judgement. Until we know more about what happened I have only the past experiences on which to base my opinion.

If this isn't an orchestrated hit on the school, I'd be very surprised. They obviously have a number of 12 year old Brett Kavenaughs at this den of hate...
FTA: "Second lady Karen Pence in January began teaching art at the evangelical Christian school two days a week after previously working there for 12 years."
"The school came under fire for banning gay and transgender students — and requiring job applicants to pledge that marriage is only between a man and a woman."

Just so happens to be Mrs. Pence's school. That is what made me do a double-take. Playgrounds these days should have CC cameras; let's see if this one does. (I am not a lover of dreadlocks, as I doubt they can really be clean. But that is really beside the point of this topic. I also despise hair extensions that look totally fake, and dirty wigs worn day in and day out, and that cuts across racial lines.)

Reposting: I work in elementary and middle schools and have worked for twenty years. I have seen plenty of fights and spiteful behaviors. Given what I have witnessed over the years, I seriously doubt this particular incident happened as this girl told it. I just don’t see it that three white boys would gang up on her and cut her hair. It’s just too Smollet-like.

What is suspicious is the use of the term "nappy" by 12 year old white boys. This is not a term used by whites, but is common among blacks.

Yes, #15...the alleged victim seems to be hitting all the correct points of a made-up narrative. The story just doesn't ring true, especially for a private Christian school.

Um, where's that favorite liberal word...''ALLEDGED?'' Where's that word in the article. NOWHERE! It seems the New York Post and their scribbler, Tamar Lapin, have already tried and convicted these boys. Have they moved on to the punishment yet? Death? Prison? Internment camp?

#17 When my son was in junior high a black girl came up to him in the hall and asked him to date her. He said no. She got him in a headlock and rammed his skull into the lockers. Charming. This did not make the news.

I'd bet the farm this is a hoax and I'll know for sure when NBC's 'The Today Show' reports this.

It is possible that it is fake, but then again, I find it very believable after having been terribly harassed by the boys in intermediate school for 2 1/2 years when I was that age. I even had nearly an entire yard of kids come at me after a rally one time yelling a name of an animal at me (withheld, but it was because of a furry jacket I wore one time a year before). Another time, the boys threw rocks and whipped weeping willow branches at me and yelling that name as I rode my bike past them. I was almost hit by a car trying to avoid them. I was shy and they knew they could upset me by teasing me but it got violent when boys I didn't know started doing it. The school did nothing. I couldn't wait to get to high school....though I did hear vestiges of it even then. I got an apology from one of the guys 30 years later on FB. Children can be vicious and very cruel, especially boys.

#7, its not odd at all. Nobody "noticed" almost the entire school coming at me, harassing and chanting, while I was at my locker after a school rally. What's to notice if only 3 boys are harassing one girl (if they don't notice dozens doing the same)?
And "nappy" is used by white boys too. It's not exclusively used by blacks at all.

Nowhere in the article was it reported that the boys had been identified to school administrators. In a small student body of a private school, she would be almost sure to know who they were, especially if the boys had bullied her before.
I'm betting 4-to-1 that this is a hoax: either (a) this is an orchestrated setup based on Mrs. Pence's position there, or (b) this not-very-happy-looking girl is acting out personal or family problems. In either case, I expect her story to crumble like an old cookie under any kind of questioning.

Recess means there should be plenty of kids out there who witnessed this hair cutting. If they really did it, they need to be disciplined. But if this is another hoax just to get back at those boys for some imagined hurt feelz, then she needs to be expelled for this. The lies have to stop.
As to previous comments, boys can indeed be mean, but then so can vengeful girls out to deliberately ruin a boy's reputation with lies.

Many people have distressing childhood and/or school related memories.
That's why child victim stories are perpetrated.

Assuming this actually happened, I will say this : you can call me or most other adults a racist/white supremist all day and nothing happens. Because we know we are not those things. You call a kid that? They are liable to set out to prove you right.

I don't believe a word of this.
12 y/o boys have better things to do other than chasing a girl and cutting her braids off.
Most boys that age don't want to 'be bothered' with girls at all, unless it's a quasi-girlfriend.
Why would they care? I could see one, maybe two younger boys doing this, but not a whole group. Teasing, yes. Tormenting, not really.
Now, if we are talking about 12y/o SOMALIAN BOYS, then YES. Absolutely, I can see them attacking like hyenas because somebody is not Muslim. Sad but true.

Not word in the story from the perps or their parents. The story is one-sided. No doubt there will be more 'reported' on this.
