Scoldilocks, Or the Story of Greta Thunberg

Original Article

Posted By: MissMolly, 9/25/2019 5:03:58 AM

Monday was the culmination of a year’s worth of programmatic, propagandistic proselytization, as a 16-year-old Swedish child with a developmental disability took to a podium at the United Nations to harangue and insult the leaders of the free world over the supposed “mass extinction” that is coming as a result of global warming. Sorry. “Climate change,” as though that is somehow a tragic event; never mind the fact that the climate changes four times per year in something we call “seasons.” The 16-year-old, whose name is Greta Thunberg, suffers from Asperger Syndrome, a condition on the autism spectrum.

One thing I noticed about watching someone with a mental illness; once he/she gets locked onto something, there is no possible way to counter his/her thinking. I thought about that, reading where she “would not be dissuaded” from her obsession.

How dare you, Greta, think you are some type of god. Just listening to your words tells me where you are in your faith life. God created this world and takes care of this world. We are the stewards and I find most eco-people to be the least of them. Wouldn't the telephone be satisfactory? Email? No, you all have to fly around on your planes and lecture us on carbon dioxide and climate change? Sorry, I firmly believe God is in control and He shows me how to be a good steward. Not you, Greta.

She reminded me of the "Bride of Chuckie". Until she has a real job, tries to support herself and or her family, understands that she needs to be howling at China and not the US, that most of us do not take marching orders from a 16 year old and will not follow her off the no fossil fuel cliff, or listen to someone who is not grounded in reality. Go home, fly, eat a burger on the plane, drive back to your home, it's okay. But take your sour puss face and go.

Who paid for the boat she sailed here on and the crew that sailed it here? Why was a second crew needed to take the boat back? Why didn't Greta Thunberg go back on the boat she came in? The climate change lunatics went over the line with this stunt and the backlash seems to be coming from both sides. No normal person will accept the insulting ranting of a teenager (or the encouragement of this by adults) regardless of the subject. This girl needs to be in foster care, therapy, and school. In that order. Her parents should be in jail. The climate change lunatics will press on with their credibility, what there was of it, severely damaged.

Maybe Greta was angry that she came all this way and still didn’t get to go to Disney World! Her parents are loons to allow her to do this when she should be at school like any other 16 year old. Of course, progressives are always up for using their kids to create political theater. They really are despicable but they got what they wanted, a free trip, media coverage, and their little egos stroked. Pathetic.

It will be interesting to see how Greta is doing 11 years from now when the earth is just fine and not one of the apocalyptic predictions have come to pass. Just like none of them from the last 50 years has come to pass. But I have a feeling that we’ll never know because the left will use her up and drop her long before 2030 just like they did Cindy Sheehan as soon as Smidgen was sworn in.

Mrs G2P and I have a 30 year old severe-high function autistic son. He and Greta are very similar. We get child rearing "tips" all the time from people who have a cousin who has a friend who lives down the street from an autistic child, so "I'm real familiar with autism." Thirty years, 24/7/365 and the exhaustion of raising him has no match for their kind of expertise. That Greta's parents would allow themselves, politicians and others to use her severe condition to further their own agenda is nothing but evil, plain and simple. She has perseverations that take her into psychosis type thoughts, just like my son. Without some pretty strong meds, he (and she) can go very deep into believing anything and become a danger to themselves. Encouraging those perseveration thoughts, like what people are doing to Greta, to use her as a foil for their sick Marxism is beyond despicable. They are hurting and destroying her for their own gain and she has no real idea what she's doing but she actually knows deep inside that she is GOING TO die in ten years from climate change because they've led her thinking and her fear into that void and that lie. She truly believes what she is saying even though it is utterly false. I so hope they haven't pushed her beyond the point of no return but they are definitely destroying her and pushing her there. God help us.

Greta Thunberg - “For more than 30 years the science has been crystal clear.” Except that for several years it has been clear to anyone who takes a close look that the “settled science” of anthropogenic global warming was a hoax and a scam right from the get go, from the fraudulent hockey stick graph that left out the medieval warming period and the little ice age, to the University of East Anglia emails discussing cooking and fabricating data to conform to the theory. The only thing crystal clear is that climate goes through natural cycles that human actions have no effect on. Sunrise, sunset. What I see here are the results of the deliberate and systematic torture of an autistic person. If her parents had filled her head with terrifying stories of killer trolls living under her bed that were plotting to roast her and eat her, and then trotted her around to recount in horror the threat posed to all of us by killer trolls, they would be arrested for child abuse. So they should be.

While lots of people are just dismissing this kid as an ego maniac like that Hogg kid on gun control, I see a bigger and sadder issue. It isn't going to end well for poor Greta like it did for Hogg (who had his 15 minutes, made some money, got into Harvard and we haven't heard from him since). Instead, she will probably snap when she finds out how she was used and --- should she live 10 more years --- finally realizes how wrong it all was! Sad. This kid is capable of taking her own life in depression or swinging out and trying to take others with her --- including her parents --- but I fear it won't be a pleasant ride on the merry-go-round. And once the action & music stops ....

We need to remove ourselves from the UN and send them packing. For all the supposed seriousness of the UN, they wasted their time with this child. I would like to think that they have more pressing business than listening to the rants of a child. The same can be said for congress. When a group of adults is spending OUR time listening to her fairy tales, we have problems.

It may not be unreasonable to assume that Greta has not been raised with any Judeo-Christian religious foundation because Scripture makes clear that God created and controls the universe, including weather. The first ten words of the Bible are, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1) Scripture reveals that God uses weather to bless and to discipline. Scripture also teaches that only God knows the day and hour the earth will end. (Mark 13:32) God is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, “...who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8) Scientists and politicians can create a kajillion “climate change models,” but what happens to this earth is for God to decide. Scripture renders man-made “climate change” an unconscionable man-made deception.

Bless you, #18. As the father of a 41 year old son with Aspergers, believe me, I understand. And it breaks my heart - while making me very angry - to see this poor girl being used by what I would have to call "evil people." Trust me: she is absolutely LOCKED onto what she is saying, believes it will all her heart, and it will be virtually impossible to get her "unfocused" from this crusade. While Aspergers is on the autism spectrum, and even those with Aspergers vary in terms of how it effects them, there are some common symptoms/traits. One of these is getting laser focused on some issue, item or cause. And if you ask them about their focus or interest, they will then tell you more about it than you ever wanted to know (akin to the old adage of "ask him the time of day and he will build you a watch"). As an aside, those of you who have written comments like "half wit" and "mentally ill" in regards to this girl need to study up on Aspergers: MIT is FULL of Aspergers kids, who are often unusually very intelligent. They generally don't make it because they lack normal social skills and are awful at time management, etc. These same traits often make it difficult for Aspergers people to get and hold down a job. Again, shame on those in the "climate change movement" who are using this girl to further their political agenda. It is truly sickening to watch.

In January 2014, the then-president of France, François Hollande, arrived in England for talks with Prime Minister David Cameron on military and nuclear cooperation. No one in the British press really cared about the official reason for the visit, though. At the time, Hollande was living at the Élysée Palace with his girlfriend, but he had just been revealed to have been having an affair with a French actress—he had been darting to her apartment on the back of a scooter, protected by his official security team and his face hidden from view by a motorbike helmet. He had flown into England as the storm still swirled back home.

The attack on our embassy in Baghdad and President Trump’s reaction are in no way comparable to the events in Benghazi, Libya on Sept. 11, 2012. I fought to defend the American diplomatic post and CIA annex in Benghazi for more than 13 hours against a determined, organized assault by dozens of Al Qaeda fanatics armed with belt-fed machine guns, rocket-propelled grenade launchers, and heavy mortars. The Obama administration’s mishandling of this attack — which resulted in the first murder of a U.S. ambassador in the line of duty since the 1970s — was a far cry from the Trump administration’s decisive response to threats against our embassy in Iraq.

Beware the Boogeyman Alarm 10 replies

It is a founding principle of Boogeyman alarmism that it be couched in vague terms. Only a novice at scaremongering would tell a little brother, “Give me your candy or the Boogeyman will come and sew your eyelids closed Thursday night at 6:07 p.m. Central Time.” Boogeyman leverage relies heavily on uncertainty. All predictions of Boogeyman activity must be non-falsifiable. Just say, “The Boogeyman will get you” and leave it at that. Some understand this principle better than others. Back in the years before 2010, federal workers at Glacier National Park in Montana put up signs warning that all of the glaciers would be gone by 2020 because of climate change.

Specifically, Iranian officials says the aircraft 'took the flying posture and altitude of an enemy target' as it neared the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps base and attending personal didn't recognize it as a passenger plane. As she wrapped up her weekly news conference, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was asked if she would attend the San Francisco 49ers' NFL playoff game this weekend. "It would be my intention to go," she said. "I have, unfortunately, responsibilities to save our country from peril." Some in the briefing room laughed at the remark. Pelosi did not elaborate on what "peril" exactly means. Tensions between the US and Iran escalated this week following a US airstrike that killed Iran's top general. The House is expected to vote today on legislation that could restrain Trump's ability to launch military action against Iran. Meanwhile, Pelosi is also holding onto the articles

FBI Director Christopher Wray told the federal surveillance court in a letter Friday that he “deeply regrets” the bureau’s many errors in the process to obtain surveillance warrants on former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. “The FBI has the utmost respect for this Court, and deeply regrets the errors and omissions identified by the OIG,” Wray wrote in a letter to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC). A judge on the FISC ordered the FBI on Dec. 17 to respond by Friday with a roadmap on how the bureau plans to address the problems identified in a Justice Department inspector general’s (IG) report regarding applications for warrants to wiretap Page.

A man was arrested Thursday for allegedly slugging a 23-year-old woman so hard it knocked out two of her teeth—and he has a history of similar “completely unprovoked” attacks against women, law enforcement sources told The Post. Eugene Webb, 26, allegedly ran up to a 23-year-old woman who was walking on West Houston Street near Sullivan Street around 6 a.m. on Wednesday and punched her in the face, authorities said. The blow knocked out two of her pearly whites, but Webb—who police say is homeless—continued to clobber the woman, shoving her against a parked cab

DAVENPORT, Iowa —Susan Dreyer, a Catholic nun, left her monastery one day this week in search of an answer to a fateful question: Is Elizabeth Warren “strong enough to kick Trump out?” (Snip) The uncertainty goes deeper than the already-vexing decision about which contender voters like more, and it is complicated not merely by this year’s crowded field. Rather, for many here who remain uncommitted, the dilemma presents a whole new calculation — a search for an elusive set of qualities seen as necessary to defeat President Trump, the most unpredictable opponent in modern history. The question is taking on
