Federal prosecutors in Washington have recommended that criminal charges be filed against Andrew McCabe, the FBI’s former deputy director, and the Justice Department has rejected a last-ditch appeal by McCabe’s lawyers, according to a report on Thursday by Fox News. This clears the way for what appears to be McCabe’s imminent indictment.
Jesse Liu, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia (appointed by Trump), has reportedly decided that McCabe should be charged. The decision was based on a referral by the Justice Department’s inspector general (appointed by Obama), Michael Horowitz. In a comprehensive report last year, issued after a probe of a leak of investigative information

When article reads, “McCabe has been indicted” or even better, has pled guilty to a series of felony charges, i’ll Be interested. Until then, this is all a slow strip tease that ultimately keeps Justice fully clothed.
What’s equally disturbing; is that Nadler’s impeachment efforts will more likely present a series of totally fabricated charges against the President long before Trump’s DoJ charges anyone from the Obama regime with actual corruption, obstruction of justice and most of all, sedition. As Trump joked on Monday about needing a 3rd term, he may need a 4th or even 5th term before his DoJ and FBI actually apply our laws to Hillary, Comey and the other members of Obama’s Crime Squad.

Are we set up to believe that because of detrimental statements regarding McCabe made by the President will be reason that the DOJ will be unwilling to prosecute this weasel? Another question, if the jury would be biased against this administration because they are primarily democrat supporting and would attempt jury nullification, would it not be reasonable to ask for a change of venue? I am just concerned that the DS will try anything to avoid having their little coup attempt being prosecuted. Prove McCabe is dirty and a whole lot of other Obama administration operatives are going to get very nervous.
Finally, I am in agreement with Poster #1. The Impeachment Circus will be pushed along at warp speed while any prosecutions of the Obama administration will drag along at a snail’s pace. Don’t ever think the DS will not fight this with everything they have. Their very existence depends upon it and they will beat the Impeachment drum hard running up to the 2020 election.

The key point made in the article is that the trial would be held in DC. Might as well hang it up he will walk.

"There are reasons for the Justice Department to be concerned that the president’s public drumbeat would redound to McCabe’s benefit. An indictment would likely lead to a jury trial in Washington, where the president is unpopular."
Andrew is an unsophisticated writer. He starts off by stating that McCabe would place blame on the DOJ which means he will Rat big time on everyone in order to deal and stay out of a jury trial. Trumps statements are inadmissible hearsay unless they can be linked somehow to evidence in the case. This will be the first Rat.

This has only to do with charges related to the previously released Inspector General report about McCabe's leaking regarding the Hillary Clinton email investigation. It has nothing to do with McCabe’s role in FISC matters. That report hasn’t been released yet.

But, Still no indictment. 30 FBI agents have not yet stormed McCabe's house and took him in at 2am in the morning with his wife screaming and CNN cameras there. I now think none will come for McCabe or any dim or any deep stater. Barr should have rolled with all of this by now. The slowness of Barr and the pubbies is alarming unlike the dims and deep state who will take anyone out with lightening speed. But, like a trooper, will keep my powder dry and hold out some hope the dim indictments will come. Rule of Law? What is that?

So, he will only be indicted because of pressure from the President? What about your crimes, MCabe? Don't you think they might have something to do with it? Besides, President Trump won't be the one to convict and imprison you, it will be a jury of your peers.
So, as you languish in prison, you can take solace in being a good little communist and doing your part to damage the U.S.!
Also, how about telling us about pressure you received to commit theses crimes? Who, in the Obama administration put pressure on you to do these things? Or, did you think it all up by yourself?

Now I know why the dims are pushing so hard for legislation to NOT put non violent criminals in prison. That is why all the Obama criminals are so cocky...they know that even if tried and found guilty they would just be slapped on the wrist, have a bracelet placed on their legs and ordered to perform public service for a short time. My guess is that public service will include mowing their own grass.
Is the fix in again ?

For most crimes, including false-statements offenses, the district U.S. attorney does not need authorization from the Justice Department to file charges. Nevertheless, in light of the facts that McCabe was a high-ranking Justice Department official (the FBI is part of DOJ) and that the potential charges stem from a Justice Department IG investigation, it makes sense that the district’s chief prosecutor would stay her hand to allow McCabe the opportunity to appeal to the Justice Department.
Which is why I'm so sick and tired of elitists like McCarthy and the rest of the Beltway to NYC crowd. It makes sense that the prosecutor would allow an opportunity to appeal the filing of charges? REALLY? I sure as hell will NEVER be allowed that nor will any of us American citizens who are not in the swamp. Why the hell does it matter how high ranking McCabe is or was? You see Andy, this is why we're totally disgusted with the federal government and with your silly elitism attempting to "school" we, the great unwashed and convince our goat-herding stupidity that high ranking officials in the DOJ are treated differently and MUCH better than us smelly Walmart shoppers.
We also KNOW that this will go at a snail's pace, so slowly so as to hope the 2020 election of a Marxist makes it all go away (and it WILL go away). It took 15 days to indict Papadopoulos and 15 days to indict Flynn on ZERO evidence made up by the McCabe's in this country. It took ONE day to utterly destroy "bonehead" (your words not mine) Carter Page's life based on a KNOWN lie (that btw Andy, at first YOU supported because Comey and you are such good buddies, remember? I do). It DOES NOT make sense to someone who swore an oath to the Constitution Andy. Not at all. Why it "makes sense" to you is quite telling.

Maybe I'm being too optimistic but it seems to be no coincidence that the first person to be indicted, Andrew McCabe, publicly stated he wouldn't go down alone. This may be the key to rolling up the entire cabal in one fell swoop. Fact: McCabe is a weasel and a rat and in order to save his own but he will take others down. This may be why the DOJ declined to prosecute Comey for leaking...because McCabe holds more damning evidence against him.
McCabe may even roll before before the indictment comes in order to get more favorable treatment.

A Washington DC or just about any of the New England states juries will not convict an anti-Trump guy no matter the evidence.
He knows this so he will not enter into any kind of a plea deal.
Just watch - he will get off scot-free and not even in debt.

McCabe should be in witness protection for his own good. We all know what happens to people who are ready to talk about the Clinton's. Hillary has a good alibi she is in Venice Italy.

He deserves prison, but I am getting very skeptical that justice works any more for the criminal upper class.

If the IG Report has a compelling case against McCabe for lying, it should not matter if the President likes or hates the guy. He is a liar and should be punished. IG has much better case against McCabe than DOJ has had against many others caught up in this travesty.
