We’ve got to throw
everything at the climate crisis

When we’re faced with threats of inundation, our reaction has traditionally been to build walls. Sea-level rises, storms and floods have been held back with solid barriers, seawalls and dykes. We have used walls to keep out people, too: the fact that this has failed throughout the ages has not stopped its recent revival in the United States.
The climate crisis threatens global sea-level rises of well over half a metre if we fail to act, while tidal storm surges will reach many times that height. Fiercer and more frequent hurricanes will batter us, and millions of people who live in areas where crops have failed

Back around 12,000 BC somewhere in England Gronk said to Hwulda "Oook, gonga, duhduh wonk swishee whodah" which, translated, means "Babe, I think it's getting warmer, what did we do? The land bridge to Europe is gone. Neanderthals built too many fires."

Panic early and often and throw LOTS and LOTS of money at a problem that doesn't exist.
The author does a good job of listing the litany of Alarmist claims but fails to note that most of them are NOT happening as scheduled. For example, seas are NOT rising any faster than they have over centuries of measurements. Storms are NOT getting more severe or more frequent. Without conformational results, Alarmist theories are junk and not one penny should be spent on panic solutions.

Fiona misses the fact that hurricanes have been less frequent and less powerful over the last 20 years.

Fiona, the ONLY thing we've had a dramatic increase to in the last 30 years is unintelligent leftists

"We’ve got to throw everything we've got at the climate crisis." Everything that increases government overlordship of the masses, that is. None of these Leftists wants to provide safe, reliable, peak load tolerant nuclear generation of electricity. They want to throw money instead at balky, unreliable, non-peak load tolerant wind and solar generation. This approach will guarantee energy shortages like those that plague third-world countries and require a heavy-handed government control over YOUR energy usage.

Yes Fiona, the sky is falling. And people like you are a menace especially to the ill informed and uneducated. Your scientists have lied and covered up their false studies. The UN can’t be trusted. Keep burning inefficient wood over there. We’re selling, chopping, chipping, shipping, all the trees you guys are burning. And we’re leaving a large carbon footprint in the process. And you think that is carbon neutral. What idiots. And, stay the hell off our wall. Walls work.

The "climate crisis" is ENTIRELY imaginary, and we don't need to do a damned thing about it, except shut up the morons who think we have to "throw everything at it".
Drop dead. I am throwing NOTHING at it, and will be urging my representatives in Congress do LESS.

Talk is cheap. These rascals must be forced to put their money where their lying mouths are. Not ONE (as in more than zero) of their forecasts has come true so far.

Global Warming morphed into Climate Change which has now morphed into Climate Crisis. Can't tell from the picture or name if Fiona is male or female but I urge ze to go to the one of the poles and check on the ice. The actual crisis is these nitwits could take over.

Hopefully "everything we have got" includes meteorological data and historical studies of climate which show that the climate change story is a hoax.

Can anyone name even one thing that humans can do--and have tried--that actually has any effect on climate?

I didn't think so!

Exactly, #16. Even 2 atomic bombs being dropped in 1945 and all of the bomb testing that went on in the 50’s didn’t do squat to the climate. Nor did Saddam’s burning oil fields which the left said would take years to stop and that the smoke would cover the earth. In the 1980’s we were told that in 10 years the oceans would be dead. In 1991, they told us that, by 2000, all of the coastal cities would be under water. Not only can they not name one thing that humans have done, every single one of their predictions has failed to come to pass. Best solution - laugh at them and walk away.

Honey, get the boat ready. Don't bother to pack warm clothes, it's getting really hot. We could be the first couple to reach the top of Mount Everest without having to climb it. No, not the motor, we'll use the sail, the carbon is killing us. I hope it's not too crowded up there among all those brown people.

I do wonder how these people think that TODAY, now, this point in time, is the precise climate that must be maintained.
Yet, there is ample evidence that seas have been higher, and lower.
I seem to recall the Great Barrier Reef off Australia was previously land that's simply been overtaken by a rising sea level?
The sad part, they shout about needing to do something, but they don't even know if it's needed, or that what they claim will actually happen.
And, I would think if China thought this was urgent, they would be looking to protect their vast Coastal areas.

crisis, what crisis are they talking about. Everything I read by people who are actual weather/climate scientists indicates that the temperatures have been level for nearly a decade. Every time they make a big deal about ice missing at point a somebody finds a whole new bunch of ice at point b. Every doomsday scenario over the last 100 years has proven to be a bust, from we were going to be either starving to death by the millions, or eating ourselves, which of course has been recently revived, to death by global cooling, death by global warming, now its death by climate change, which for nearly a couple of thousand years or more has been known as the WEATHER. Chicken little's running around screaming the sky is falling the sky is falling are nothing new.

Then why did the former resident of the White House who supposedly believes this codswollop just purchase a multi million dollar home on an island? Does he know something the Chicken Littles of the climate change/global cooling/global warming do not?

Throw everything at the climate crisis, beginning with the truth that the 'climate crisis' is largely a fraud, and what isn't fraudulent has little or nothing to do with human activities.
