The grand opening of Chick-fil-A’s first international location in Toronto was met by a grand protest Friday by LGBTQ activists, who argued that the chicken-centric chain owner’s historically antigay policies will clash with the culture of Canada's largest city. Protestors caused a commotion as soon as the restaurant opened its doors at 10:30 a.m., chanting “shame” and “cluck you,” CBC News reports. "Hey hey, ho ho, Homophobia's got to go,” activists can be heard shouting in video shared to Twitter by BlogTo. Celebrity drag queen RuPaul's likeness was used by protestors picketing for the cause.

It’s distressing to witness how many fools and idiots are there, blindly following lies and delusions about a perceived enemy. Their demonstration is ridiculously out of proportion to whatever threat they feel. This actually is just fascist behavior, using the force of numbers to intimidate anyone not in lockstep with their perversion. (I read there was a line waiting for the doors to open. How many customers were there compared to this “vast throng” of mental cases? Knowing how the media manipulates images, I’ll be looking for actual numbers).

Don’t you just love the unhinged and unfounded “tolerance” of the LGBT community? It is no longer a live and let live world. Now we are forced to celebrate their lifestyle. Once they get it into their little pea brains that someone is guilty of discrimination against them, whether true or not, Katy bar the door. They are targeted as homophobic and these ridiculous protests begin. They want Chick-Fil-A out of business and they are relentless, and unreasonable in their quest to get it done. What their ultimate goal is to paint any Christian as a bigot. It is always about the bigger picture with them. That is why they are desperate to bring down anyone who dares disagree with same sex marriage. They love a high profile target and have chosen this company as a preferred target. The cake bakers, photographers and venue providers just are not big enough. They have set their sights on Mr. Cathy’s company and they will not relent because clearly everyone must rejoice in same sex marriage or suffer the consequences. Frankly, most people are disgusted by their antics. Reasonable people would just avoid eating at an establishment if they were offended by the owner. Not these guys. They must force their views loud and proud on anyone who dares disagree with them in an attempt to destroy them and they are coming after this company’s reputation. What they are accomplishing is making people who may have been tolerant of them in the past into people who are fed up with their bullying. People do not like being bullied into celebrating their choices. The LGBT agenda is a militant, unreasonable, vicious and bitter strategy that promotes forced obeisance upon anyone who does not support them. They are making more enemies than they are friends. My hope is that reasonable Canadians will make Chick-Fil-A a booming success. This tyranny of a tiny minority must end. Support any business that is targeted by this group. Make what they mean as evil be turned to good.

CFA will prevail. Management does not “hate” anybody. They are simply saying that management and staff do not embrace homosexuality even though they politely tolerate it. You will never find a gay person who was refused service or treated badly inside a CFA. Someone with a bullhorn should stand outside CFA and challenge gay people to go in, order, and be served, then decide if they are being treated with “hate."

No one loved the Avia S-199 at first sight. Perched on narrow, splayed-out landing gear, the Czech-built fighter had a sinister look that made pilots and potential buyers wary. And when airmen became better acquainted with the long-snouted warplane, the wariness turned to distrust. The single-engine S-199 was a product of the Avia Company in Czechoslovakia, which had tooled up to produce Messerschmitt Bf 109s for the German Luftwaffe just as World War II ended. After the war, the company opted to manufacture a version of the Messerschmitt fighter for the Czech air force. The Daimler-Benz DB 605 V-12 engine, which had propelled the Bf 109, was no longer available,

Nearly every American above a certain age remembers precisely where they were on September 11, 2001. For a small handful of Americans—many of them among the most senior officials in the U.S. government—that day conjures memories of a bunker underneath the White House, built for the Cold War but never used until that Tuesday morning 18 years ago. What had begun as an odd incident, with the crash of American Airlines Flight 11 into the North Tower of the World Trade Center at 8:46 a.m., quickly escalated 17 minutes later when United Airlines Flight 175 crashed into the South Tower. As the world realized the country was under attack,

The vast majority of the things police officers do are extraordinary — from thwarting additional mass shooting casualties in Dayton to getting a narcotics suspect to surrender after an intense shootout in Philadelphia. They do this all while preserving the lives of those on scene, including children. Many view their heroism with awe and gratitude. But, these positive stories are often overshadowed by negative ones — such as the one about mounted Galveston cops leading an African American suspect with a rope — in which police officers are relentlessly demonized as insensitive and racist. Because social media sometimes operates in its own bubble, not many understand how deeply this overpowering negativity

Elizabeth Warren, the 2020 Democrat presidential hopeful and former Harvard professor, believes private equity companies are parasites on the economy. The Massachusetts senator describes the business model of private equity firms as being “like vampires — bleeding the company dry and walking away enriched even as the company succumbs.” Who knew that investing growth capital in promising businesses or working capital in struggling businesses was a blood-sucking endeavor? According to Warren, private equity firms like Eberhart Capital are engaged in “legalized looting” when we roll the dice and risk our own money to help others realize their vision. This somehow makes the investor Dracula reincarnated,

Everyone once in a while, even if by accident, liberals tell you who they really are, what they think, and what they want to do. Whether it slips out or they deliberately put it down in a statement, it’s a quick little glimpse into what’s going on in the void behind their vacant eyes. This week saw a few of these glimpses. It was a bit of irony that the same people who spent years insisting pouring water up the nose of the man who masterminded the September 11th attacks was torture, would inflict 7 hours of Democrats babbling about climate change on the American people. Luckily, and sensibly,

When an environmentalist says he or she wants to “save the planet” be sure to ask: “For whom?” Because often it seems like they're not doing it for people at all. The anti-people nature of environmentalism is sometimes just a matter of minor inconvenience, as when environmentalist policies force upon us flickering light bulbs, weak showers and toilets, and front-loading washing machines. Sometimes the imposition is greater, resulting in higher energy costs, the destruction of industries, and the degradation of human health. For instance, the Economist recently lamented, “More poor people are eating meat around the world. That means they will live longer, healthier lives, but it is bad news for the environment.”

Democrats’ verbal targeting of everything from plastic straws to cheeseburgers is stoking fears among anti-Trump forces that they’re unwittingly playing into Republican culture wars. Conservative recrimination over the threatened wholesale takeover of society came swiftly after CNN’s marathon climate change forum with Democratic presidential hopefuls this week. Republicans gleefully painted the field as a bunch of out-of-touch elites: In one video, the Republic National Committee shared brief clips from the candidates, including Joe Biden, appearing to advocate a shutdown of coal-burning plants and taking gas-burning vehicles off the road “as rapidly as we can.”
