HANOVER, N.H. — Joe Biden painted a vivid scene for the 400 people packed into a college meeting hall. A four-star general had asked the then-vice president to travel to Konar province in Afghanistan, a dangerous foray into “godforsaken country” to recognize the remarkable heroism of a Navy captain. Some told him it was too risky, but Biden said he brushed off their concerns. “We can lose a vice president,” he said. “We can’t lose many more of these kids. Not a joke.” The Navy captain, Biden recalled Friday night, had rappelled down a 60-foot ravine under fire and retrieved the body of an American comrade,

Levin played a montage of the audio from the many variations of the story as told by Biden, on his radio show this afternoon. I didn't know whether to laugh, be angry or feel a little sad that the Dems in general seem to prefer this brain damaged, crooked, pedophile, lunatic.

My very liberal sister has the same trait of making up fantastic stories about events that never happened or are only partially true but to her mind they actually happened. I learned years ago just to go along as she becomes angry if challenged.

Biden's lie about heroism of our military proves he doesn't really view them as heroes. He had to make something up by combining stories as if the individual stories in and of themselves were not heroic. Biden is evil.

After telling this whopper of a lie where he portrays a visit to a Forward Operating Base as an heroic, life threatening act on his part he was later confronted with the fact that his story never happened. To which he replied with two more lies 1. That he was trying to honor the heroism of our military. (It was more about him.) 2. That at least he did to us like our current President. (Lying about lying to us while claiming the President lies.) Biden has absolutely no shame!

Joe Biden has apparently told that false war story in different variations many times and has no problem in blowing such politically based smoke to low information audiences that don’t have a clue as to the military or how the military operates. So there is no way that Biden’s utterances were a “mistake”. Clearly Biden told those fraudulent stories to build up his political stature with such low information voters, in about the only way that such corrupt politicians have to insert themselves into legitimate military combat actions that amount to politically fabricated instances of “stolen valor”. Another example of that was when Senator Blumenthal of Connecticut was falsely claiming that he served in Vietnam.

And then add in his dementia so he can't even tell the same lie twice the same way, it keeps "drifting", the "facts" changing at every telling, driven by his disinterest in facts and his inability to even remember exactly what he said last time. Not content with his proposals for how Americans are to live their lives, Bernie Sanders now suggests he's open taxing meat as another means of virtue-signalling on global warming. According to Breitbart News: Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) signaled that he is open to the possibility of a “meat tax” to help combat climate change, according to a video of a Q&A session at his town hall event in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Thursday. A town hall attendee asked the presidential candidate what he would do to address the meat industry’s impact on climate change and floated a “meat tax,” which Sanders did not immediately dismiss: Here's how that went:

A 911 dispatcher in Arkansas scolded a woman stranded in floodwaters shortly before the woman drowned. The incident has led police in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to apologize and review their policies for emergency responses during storms. Debra Stevens, 47, was delivering newspapers at about 4:38 a.m. on Aug. 24 when her car was swept away by floodwaters and got stuck in a copse of trees off the roadway amid rising waters, Fort Smith police said. Her call to 911 was answered by then-dispatcher Donna Reneau, who was working her last shift as a 911 operator after she had presented her resignation earlier this month, NBC affiliate KARK reported.

It was not immediately clear what Trump meant, but in May he shared a tweet by a supporter that said he should have two years added to his term as compensation for having endured the investigation of special counsel Robert S. Many see the announcement by a dissident group of Colombia’s Revolutionary Armed Forces (FARC) rebels that they will break a 3-year-old peace deal and resume armed struggle as a domestic problem. But, more likely, it will become a Colombia-Venezuela dispute — and perhaps escalate into a regional conflict. Colombian President Ivan Duque already has pinned the blame on Venezuela. Hours after the FARC’s Aug. 29 announcement, he said that the leftist rebels are “a narco-terrorist criminal gang that counts on the safe harbor and support of (Venezuelan) dictator Nicolás Maduro.”

Plan? Just that word "plan" ought to give any self-respecting journalist the creeps. After all, journalists operate under the First Amendment, an inalienable protection and right, in the same way gun-owners derive their right to bear arms through the Second Amendment. The press doesn't operate under five-year plans from all-knowing central planners, which is exactly what Sanders's logic has more than a whiff of. He begins piously with a banal Walter Cronkite

Anyone who thinks that big business hates regulation should look at what’s happening in the auto industry today. While the Trump administration is pushing much-needed regulatory relief, four major carmakers are embracing California’s plans to kill the internal combustion engine. The issue involves federal fuel economy mandates, a vestige of the 1970s “energy crisis” that forced carmakers to meet increasingly strict fuel economy standards for their new cars. These “corporate average fuel economy” standards resulted in a radical downsizing of the American car fleet back then, and were instrumental in destroying the U.S. auto industry’s lead in the car business.

Sen. Bernie Sanders has said publicly that he doesn’t believe government should own the means of production. Yet he appears on national television last week and agrees there should be a “federal takeover” of the energy sector. Earlier projections had it hitting Florida head on as early as Monday. Areas all along the coast still are bracing for storm surge, heavy rain and dangerous, gusty winds. Other forecasts have the storm not making landfall at all in the U.S. A high-pressure system in the Atlantic is helping push the storm north. If Dorian remains farther off shore, parts of Florida may see only up to 10 inches of rain, significantly lower than earlier forecasts.
