Queen Elizabeth II has formally approved Boris Johnson's request to temporarily suspend Parliament, a move that will largely prevent lawmakers from pushing through new legislation and ultimately sabotaging the prospect of a no-deal Brexit.
In a letter to lawmakers released Wednesday, the prime minister said he "spoke to Her Majesty The Queen to request an end to the current parliamentary session."
He said an integral feature to the legislative program will be the introduction of a bill to leave the European Union and "to secure its passage" before Oct. 31. Hours later, the queen approved the request, suspending Parliament from mid-September to Oct. 14.

Good on the Queen, and good on Boris Johnson.
It is becoming more and more evident that the EU is not bargaining in good faith, and will never approve a BREXIT plan. It is time for Britain to act unilaterally.

Leave now, deal later. I think the EU needs Britain worse than Britain needs the EU, especially Germany. Unilateral deals would probably be much more favorable than the group control from Brussels.
How about that, a guy named Boris we can fully support.

Game, set, match to Johnson, it would seem nearly impossible to do anything in the remaining short period between Oct. 14 and 31st. I suppose that the anti-Brexit forces could try to pull together some sort of last minute plan in the 'down time'.
Understanding one's own country's politics is daunting enough, trying to actually understand another country's politics is far harder, largely because of not really knowing all the "rules" which provide options for actions and proscribe certain actions.
Ultimately, I think a no deal Brexit will be a long term good thing for Britain. There might be a bit of uncertainty for a short period, but breaking out from the chains of EU will be a good thing.
Interesting times, indeed.

Why should the EU bargain in good faith, when they have an island nation led by a woman who is determined to subvert the will of her own voters? Thanks to Boris being the PM, I think that the Queen is going to support whatever it takes to end the travesty that her country and Commonwealth has been put through. Suspending Parliament is the one option that HM has to restore commonsense to that nation.
Besides, the EU is very upset at losing the UK, simply because that was where they were shipping all the excess migrants so that they did not have to deal with them. Now I suspect when all is said and done, Boris is going to be cleaning up his country, and the Leftists are not going to like how he does it. Good on you Boris, and God save HM, and may she outlive her son.

From another commenter on the article, sorry I didn't get the persons name, but so worth repeating, "Boris Johnson and President Donald Trump are giving Blonds a good name". Oh how true that is and Thank You both".
