Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has just completed three weeks of radiation treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, the U.S. Supreme Court disclosed Friday. The radiation therapy, conducted on an outpatient basis, began Aug. 5, shortly after a localized cancerous tumor was discovered on Ginsburg's pancreas. The treatment included the insertion of a stent in Ginsburg's bile duct, according to a statement issued by the court.

Having just lost a beloved family member to cancer, I can only wish her and her family well, however, she needs to step aside, loathe though she is to do so and allow President Trump another SJC Justice. It would be the right thing, But she is some tough bird.

Compare to these reports on Ginsburg through rose colored glasses to those on the US/Trump economy and impending doom of a recession. Quite striking in the reporting. I think we will have a new SCOTUS nominee before the recession hits.

It's time for her and all of these very old Justices, Judges and politicians to step down. It is an absolute disgrace - Ginsburg, Breyer, Sotomayer, Leahy, Feinstein, etc. to name a few. We have 300 million people and we have to suffer with these folks forever.

This afternoon Ruthie raced a 40-yard dash against Olympic champion, Usain Bolt. She didn't beat him - - but he knew he was in a race.
She may have lost a step - - but she's doing fine. Just fine.

Honor is simply a thing of the past amongst the D.C. elites like Ginsburg. She is 86 years old and selfishly thinking of herself alone, not the good of the Supreme Court or anything else. There is no way she is honestly earning her generous paycheck. She is ill. The press covers for her.

Ruthie, step down now and enjoy your remaining minutes on this side of the ground. Don't let the deep state bully you into staying on...simply for the joy of not letting the President make yet another SCOTUS nomination.
I have a sister in law very recently diagnosed with small-cell lung cancer. She was a smoker. She will have a year left to live maybe two if the chemo is somewhat effective. It isn't worth the 9 to 5 grind when you are in this situation.

Radiation for this condition is palliative, not curative. The stent means her bile duct is compressed by a non-operable lesion.

We were told she was cancer free just months ago. AS Mark Twain was alleged to say, I never wished anyone dead, but I have read some obituaries with glee.

Sooner or later she won't be fine she'll be gone.
Then war in the Senate will make the last confirmation battle look civil.
In a way Graham is probably looking forward to it as payback.

They will keep her alive, unconscious, on a respirator, and still "active" on the Supreme Court as long a Trump is in office.

The Daily Mail has pictures of her being taken into an apartment in NYC. She doesn't look well, and it took two Federal marshals to get her moving.

Pancreatic cancer is nearly always fatal. We have lost 3 family members to that horrible painful disease. Even Steve Jobs couldn't beat it.

The report about her medical status WAS NOT from her treating physicians, but rather "the court". The language used is describing her situation is not what a physician would use. As previously stated, stents and radiation are for incurable pancreatic cancer. She deserves our prayers.

Sooner or later we all die. In Ruthie's case it now looks like sooner. Get ready for a battle royal. Kavanaugh is going to look like a day at the beach.

Two kinds of pancreatic cancer. The slow kind took 7 years to kill a friend of mine, starting when he was about 68.
The fast kind, I call "gone this year". I have four friends who have lost wives to this one, all made less than 12 months from the diagnosis.
Could be a fight before the election.

Isn’t a cancerous tumor on the pancreas pancreatic cancer? Is there some kind of fine distinction I don’t know about? Because, if not, she won’t last long.

It is truly pathetic that this woman is so self centered she will not step aside. She did say that she would serve until she was 90. I thought at the time that that is what is called HUBRIS and if there is anything the gods frown upon it is that.

Justice Ginsburg occupies the Moloch Seat in the Court. The Party of Death, which she fanatically serves, will not surrender it to an American.

And RE: post #22, the slow kind of pancreatic cancer is exceedingly rare, I believe that when my friend was sick the total population of patients in the USA was moderate double digits. Pretty unlikely that this is the kind she has.
It won't be long now.
