Do Democrats really believe in the climate crisis they have dubbed an "emergency," or is it really just a way to make a quick buck?
Beto O'Rourke has suggested spending $5 trillion over the next ten years investing in climate change initiatives primarily for "vulnerable communities." Not to be outdone, Kamala Harris was one of the co-sponsors for the "Green New Deal," which proposes $700 billion a year in spending on a utopian garden future. Bernie Sanders, also a loud supporter of the GND, proposes going even farther and banning any new developments that would require fossil fuels.

The climate change racket is like the tide: it comes and goes. Just as dangerous, maybe more so, is our beloved EPA. This un-elected agency is forcing the low flush toilets, curly lightbulbs (on the way out, thank God), "efficient" appliances (that only last 3 years), and changes to motor vehicles that are not sustainable. Given the present course, it's life in the gulags with public transportation, communal dining, and laundromats. Am I wrong?

Supposedly AOC and her cohorts dreamed up and formulated the GND over a weekend. The left now is using this as the final solution. These people are nuts.

Climate change is an undeniable unstoppable force of nature that predates humankind by many millions of years. Man made climate change as we know it is a complete fraud. The ill effects of pollution are also very real and the legitimate concerns for those effects have been manipulated by the fraud. You can’t deny climate change and you can’t be pro pollution can you? Therefore you must agree with man made climate change and surrender to one world communism.
If humankind is genuinely affecting the natural climate cycle, it purely an accidental coincidence with the current claims that we indeed are, because those claims are based on a fraud, or multiple frauds. It would be like framing a person for a crime who you don’t believe to actually be guilty but nonetheless you are vindictively attempting to punish them by fabricating evidence because you hate them. Then by total accident, unbeknownst to you, that person actually happens to be guilty.
Regarding humankind and the climate, we are that accused person, the evidence against us is fake but that in and of itself does not make us either guilty or innocent. Just try getting a fair trial.

The thing is, it's not costly for the racketeers. They use other people's money, to 're-educate' us. In return, they get more of other people's money running the scams that 'fix' the problem.
Old fashioned Snake-Oil Salesmen would have cried for access to a scheme like this.

RE: Repy 1 "public transportation, communal dining, and laundromats." franq you must be an optimist. If the "climate change" racketeers get their way, we would be back to walk, hunting and gathering, washing or clothes in the river, and living in caves. Please note that the racketeers have changed from "Global Warming" to "Climate Change." That way, they can claim climate change which ever the way the climate goes.
Now here is the real "inconvenient truth." It's the Sun Stupid! And, giving the zealots control over every aspect of our lives will not change that.

Big government needs something to ''protect'' you from. It needs to be a crisis that people can't see, so no one will know if it has ever been solved. We can tell if a real crisis is solved, because we can see evidence of it. Terrorism? We can see that President Trump has made great progress against Muslim terror activity in the U.S. We can see that Antifa is a crisis of domestic terror, which will be dealt with, with visible results.
Climate change, on the other hand, is an invisible crisis. Its a crisis of the imagination. It's a crisis perpetrated using the power of suggestion. It is a crisis the government can declare as a threat to you, using computer models that produce whatever they want them tp produce, in spite of any data against the conclusions.
They can't give the precise chance of rain, or the precise temperature for next Monday but they would have you believe they can predict, within a couple of degrees, how the Earth's temperature will change decades from now. They want you to allow an expansion of government bureaucracy, to ''deal'' with the threat. They want you to pay higher taxes, to fund these government organizations. They want you to degrade your lifestyle, to satisfy the charlatans who would feed off the government bureaucracies. They want your tax dollars to be spent in remote areas of the Earth, where close monitoring of the expenditures is difficult to monitor.
The climate charlatans have been wrong in their predictions at every turn, yet they keep on lying.

CO2 constitutes .041% of the atmosphere. Water vapor is a greater contributor to higher temperatures. That's about all you need to know.

China, India and Russia are by far the largest polluters. Until we are able to regulate them, nothing we do will matter more than a gnat's hair on a buffalo.

Just like Jesse and Sharpton used race as a hustle, a lot of folks, many of them pretending to be scientists are using this whole MMGW/CC lie as a hustle.
It is all about money and political power, just like the race hustle.

For the yung-uns, here's a refresher from Newsweek in 1975 :
Titled "The Cooling World," it argued that global temperatures were falling—and terrible consequences for food production were on the horizon. Meteorologists "are almost unanimous in the view that the trend will reduce agricultural productivity for the rest of the century," Gwynne wrote. "The resulting famines could be catastrophic."

Right now the only thing standing between us and the climate maniacs (AKA: Power Mad Leftists) is President D. J. Trump. Without his fearless leadership the left would rounding us up right now for a trip to the reeducation camps.

When you think about it, it is the perfect scam. Scientists need money on which to live and pay for up to eight years of higher education so they beg the government for money but they have nothing useful to contribute. Nobody cares about the variations in the songs of tree frogs or the sex habits of the Tse Tse Fly. Ergo, here's a problem that can not be proven, can not be measured but can be used to scare the hell out of the uninformed and the gullible. After all, the world's finest computer systems back them up. Chakrabarti schooled AOC in this craziness but you notice that she has not mentioned it since they parted ways. He was going to make a fortune through his brainless connection to the House but his golden goose is now gone. Europe was not concerned about the "problem" until the failed EU needed lots of money to survive but has nothing to offer us but tourism of their old ruins but we are not scientists and therefore know nothing about the weather so we should just pay up and shut up. If only they hadn't teased us with that possibility of cheap beachfront property in the Midwest we might be sending them a big green check every year.

Here is a short piece about the "death" of the Great Barrier Reef. Another AGW myth that we are bombarded with is proven to be questionable, at least.

This is all about creating energy shortages that the Fascists can manage by rewarding their "correct" subjects and stiffing their "incorrect" subjects. I saw this first time I read about the international standards for reducing carbon emissions. Any nation that reduced its carbon emissions by building nuclear power plants got NO credit for doing so. In other words, the only acceptable means of reducing carbon emissions were wind and solar, which will never match carbon-based fuels for providing a reliable power grid.
