We conservatives tend to argue that “green” energy (wind and solar) is unreliable, inefficient, expensive, and virtually useless, even if we accept the climate change gospel*. But the truth is worse than that. Far from being well-intentioned, as most assume, “green” energy is the great corporate scam of our age. And green energy is not kind to the Earth as school children are taught. Rather, wind and solar are terrible for the environment.
It is time to get tough on “green” energy. I wrote about some of the environmental drawbacks of solar energy here. To perhaps an even greater degree than solar energy, wind turbines also damage the environment.

Perhaps they should immigrate to Greenland and practice what they preach. Show us all how it's done.

While all this is true it doesn't matter at all because the "Green" movement is not a scientific or environmental issue.
It is a political issue and the heart of it is to force a redistribution of wealth from rich nations to power brokers who supposedly would help poor nations with the money but in reality would simply line their own pockets with the funds and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to deal with "Climate Change" since it is a fake problem to begin with. Not only are they trying to sell us snake oil they are making up the ailment that the world allegedly suffers from as well.
We think the Deep State is out to get Trump.
The truth is, the Deep State is pushing climate change as well and is faking data and research to accomplish it. Who are the Comeys, Brennans, and Clappers of the Environmental movement hiding in the government?
The sad thing is, there are so many gullible people who are really upset about this "threat" because they are convinced it is real. Why would the government lie about something this serious?

A simple search will show 100's (if not thousands) of pictures of "electric" vehicles hooked up to diesel/propane/petrol powered generators - the fun ones show a towed generator behind a car or truck charging an EV!
Go Green!

This is a nice play on words since 'sinister' is latin for 'left'.

And they are a total ripoff of taxpayers, sucking up huge amounts of subsidies.
Terrible, ugly monsters ruining the views, killing millions of birds and they cost a FORTUNE to subsidize because they are NOT economically viable.

I'm surrounded by wind farms. They're everywhere thanks to Cuomo. I used to enjoy 30+ robins landing on my neighbor's semi-frozen lawn in the spring hopping around looking for earthworms. Not anymore. This year only 8 made it through the whirring blades. The same goes for other migrating birds. Hardly any to be seen. Cuomo prefers proliferation of insects and bugs and has gone so far as to outlaw sale of anything that effectively kills them.

For the money wasted on solar farms and wind farms we could be building nuclear power plants that are efficient and green. The technology, efficiency and safety of these plants has significantly improved over the past 40 years. But, the greens will have nothing of it. Follow the money!

Day 1 of Trump II should be the announcement of a design program for a standard nuclear plant. E.G. France.

The kids in the crowds might be that gullible but the perpetrators aren’t. Those unforeseen, unfortunate, unavoidable consequences are the real purpose. Read Anthem by Ayn Rand. It’s a short book. She had it figured out in 1937 and it hasn’t changed since.

The Green movement is only green on the outside. It is red on the inside- like the watermelon. Red stands for communism, which is what the major promoters of the Green New Deal are.

Those green cars are cute to do errands around town. But if you get out on the highway, our country is run by trucks. Also, have you seen how popular the Ford F150 or Chevy Silverados are with the average American. Trucks will never be replaced with electric vehicles.

Time Magazine did publish an article, “Another Ice Age” but it did not show a penguin (of all thing) supposedly standing on snow in the Arctic. As I remember the cover from that time, it showed a frozen landscape under heavy dark clouds. (At that time, the global "Cooling" was supposed to be the result of sooty air pollution blocking the sun light.) The "penguin cover" is linked to articles saying that that this is proof of a hoax perpetrated by Global Warming deniers.
In reality, it appears to be a misinformation campaign by pro Global Warmers to discredit Global Warming doubters.

Our power grid is always going to need a dependable source of power that is not dependent on the sun and wind. It's got to be either carbon fueled or nuclear fueled. Of those two, one emits no CO2. The Left is unalterably opposed to nuclear energy. Apparently, all the doomsday consequences they bray about CO2 are less harmful in their eyes than nuclear fueled plants. If we would discard Jimmah Carter's edict that nuclear fuel will not be recycled in U.S. plants (unlike nukes around the world), nuclear waste disposal would be far easier.
If we gave nukes the same goverment support that wind and solar currently receive, nuclear power might indeed be "too cheap to meter."

Amen, #15. The last government official I can remember promoting nuclear power was the late Dixie Lee Ray, governor of Washington and later chairman of the AEC. One salient point she made was that we can put spent uranium fuel back into the ground in a safer condition than it occurs naturally, i.e., bury the stuff in deep mines. But, alas, she was too practical and tried to argue facts, which liberals, leftists, and democrats don't recognize.

Neo-Luddite greens want to outlaw the Industrial Revolution. The so-called Green New Deal, endorsed by most Democrats, is an economic suicide pact. How will they power their Teslas and their server farms if there isn't enough electricity? As always, the opposition is utterly resistant to thinking things through. They want what they want, and they want it now. Waaaaaah.
